They got hacked. Well, looks like the caught it quick and minimal amount was lost...but still sucks. Let's see if they recover from this. In case anyone is wondering, MINT is not traded on this exchange, so mintcoin is not affected.

Hello Mintcoiners! I'm just putting together a chart and making some comparisons between Mintcoin and Darkcoin, these being the two coins that are leading my development poll at the moment when it comes to choosing the codebase for TPC coin. Maybe someone could help me out with the economics for a moment, with Mintcoin having 70 Billion Max coins, how many Mintcoins were mined before it switched from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake? The question being, if a mintcoin clone progressed instantly to Proof of Stake, how many coins would there be prior to minting?

If my memory serves me right, there was a period when MINT was POW/POS. Once a vulnerability was found it was switched to POS only.

Hmm so if I fork off the current chain, there won't be a POW/POS period, so it will launch instead as it's own beast.. I think it's time to get to know that linux command prompt again

Yes, I've just worked out the total number of coins - it will have to be a new coin unless a community decides to convert an existing coin, Monocle coin could elect to do this for instance, based on the merits of my proposal versus sticking with an existing crypto that doesn't have a clear future and plan of action moving forward.

Just minted $35 in interest this month It is not "interest". Please don't call it interest. It is more like a dividend, but still technically different.

I'm just putting together a chart and making some comparisons between Mintcoin and Darkcoin, these being the two coins that are leading my development poll at the moment when it comes to choosing the codebase for TPC coin. The question being, if a mintcoin clone progressed instantly to Proof of Stake, how many coins would there be prior to minting? Mintcoin was a pow/pos hybrid from the start, the first 20 days was full pow, due to the 20 days needed for mature coins before any minting started. This also ensured a fair distribution of coins to as many people that wanted to mine them, and mintcoin was even the most prifitable coin to mine at the time. Then on March 9, 2014 the code was changed with a hard-fork to full 100% proof of stake. 18.61-billion coins were in existence when the coin transitioned to full pos.

Just minted $35 dividend this month Mint holders laugh all the way to the bank. Nice dividend/bonus/interest every month with no energy sucking mining. It is so sweet to see those minted coins come rolling in by simply leaving the wallet open. Mint is the only long hold coin I have made money on.

And yes, it is nice.

read the rules, this is another concept. we offer 6 different games, most of them are about strategy, not just about sending coins. some features: +40 altcoins accepted withraw when you want, no plans no limits on winnig (best win until now is x100 (10000%) you know exactly how coins are disbtributed, all data is public! Give it a try!
