This is a question for Cryptsy support as their policies seem to change day to day.  I am still missing a chunk of mint from my Cryptsy balance.  I'm using Cryptsy less and less as the problems continue to snowball there.  Good luck.

I think MINT wallet at Cryptsy IS working... At least I was able to Deposit MINT in. I haven't tried to Withdrawal MINT out yet though. I have less than a hundred thousand in there, so not the end of the world if they are lost I guess.
Last I heard, BTC Withdrawals are NOT working at Cryptsy... At least a week's delay to get coins out, with preferential treatment going to highest tier accounts. I heard it it is a technical problem, not a funding problem. Apparently all the coins are there, it is just slow moving to get your coins.  But it appears to be getting worse, not better.

Another thing, Cryptsy openly admits they claim the right to stake all the proof of stake coins and keep all of the mintings! If you can't get your MINT out, they are probably staking it  Angry

I guess Bter is having issues too. Mintcoin deposits not showing up, their reply is, Mintcoin wallet doesn't work well, we are working on it but may take longer to get your coins...which sounds like Bullshit excuse to me. Some guy lost like 4millon MINT. That and besides they will take your Bitcoin if your account is not very active, and put it in their ponzi investment scheme!

If Bter is having problems running the MINT daemon...they should be contacting the MINT dev team or filing issue reports on Github

They are Chinese. Not sure they know what to do.  Not saying that in a racist way, just saying the language barrier might be an issue. Maybe we should try to contact them? Maybe try sending them a small deposit and see if it goes through? Put in a support ticket. Idk.
I have a feeling the problem is more to do with bter. Are other wallets having issues there?  Then again, their exchange seems to be running a ponzi, so may be best not to affiliate with them. They claim you can get 10% return on your Bitcoin balance just by depositing into their scheme. And if you let your BTC sit in your account too long, it gets converted to their Scheme Version BTC.   They used to be a good exchange, idk what happened.

Just to give you a heads up, we have submitted a ticket to bter to get more details of why it is in maintenance and if there is anything we can assist with.

sorry, are you in a cave?
have you not heard of a VPS?
My point is that I can't transfer the blockchain in the command line environment, nor from windows environment to SSH

There is another way. Ask a user with access to the blockchain to make a zip file Wink
This would make it a lot easier, hence i do not like the bittorrent sync idea...
Can someone please do this?

I just want to put it out there, if I hurt anyone with what I said earlier, I am sorry. I don't mean to cause pain in anyway. Nothing is personal. Please forgive me.
I think it is important so say. I love everyone.

OK, So here is my issue.. everyone says the boot strap works fine for them, when I delete everything but the wallet.dat and use the bootstrap files I am presented with this error everytime.

Error initializing database environment /
Users/s3v3n/Library/Application Support/
MintCoin! To recover, BACKUP THAT
DIRECTORY, then remove everything from it
except for wallet.dat.

If I try and let the wallet sync normally, it stalls at 17.6% everytime..

I am using the latest update, on a Mac running OS X 10.10

When I update to the latest update it corrupted my old blockchain so I am wondering if there is an issue with the update for Mac. Also, the official link for the update is only for the mintcoind (daemon) what about a GUI version??

Any Mac users here??

https://github.com/MintcoinCommunity/Mintcoin-Desktop-Wallet/releases/tag/v2.0.1.0

^^ thats the official link for the latest release packages. Other links such as dropbox/google drive/etc (from the mint website) SHOULD mirror those packages, but I myself don't have control over those file hosting links. When in doubt, always ALWAYS download from the github release tab. (this is actually something that we're going to push more in the future)

btw, there is indeed a Qt wallet for OSX on the above link.

Also, after reviewing your issue in more detail thanks to your error message report as well as the OS you are using, I did indeed find an issue with the OSX wallet packages and how they handle the bootstrap. I have recompiled, retested, and reuploaded the OSX packages to the above link. You shouldn't have to redownload the bootstrap, but you will need to redownload the wallet package containing the updated app.

The issue wasn't found during our testing of 2.0.1.0 because there wasn't a 2.0.1.0 bootstrap available at the time (of course), and there was no problem with simply upgrading the app version using a pre-existing data dir, and also no problem with fresh syncing.

posted a few pages back:

I have a DB that zipped up uploaded to mediafire

http://www.mediafire.com/download/w6c5ttsz0c77mtp/mintcoin.zip

this will bring you up to 11/1 for anyone that needs, and doesn't understand how the bootstrap works
