You guys should not talk about the price. Talk about the merchant and technique development!

Yes I agree this is important and people are doing a great job of getting new merchants onboard. There's a lot of development and plans for the future going on in the Mintcoin community. If you have any creative ideas as well feel free to share

Yep. I am planning and hoping the prices stay at these levels long enough for me to buy ~30,000,000 coins in a few weeks which will generate ~$30 a month at current prices of 15 sats. If more people do the same thing, the price will start really going up and keep rising, and if the coin goes from 15 satoshis to 30 satoshis that is $60 per month, which I think could easily happen. It could even go a lot higher! Mintcoin could make mining obsolete.
Man I hope it goes higher than 15 sat lol 30 million coins just to make $30 a month is a little ridiculous Total Money Supply is going to be 70,000,000,000 Divide that by 30,000,000 The answer is only 2333.33 It may seem ridiculous at a low price, but this coin is just getting started and 30,000,000 is a huge chunk out of the total money supply. If you were to place this on the same scale to be equivalent in BTC, buying 30,000,000 Mintcoins is the equivalent to buying 9,000 Bitcoins.

Why would integrating a wallet feature create a hard fork? Wallet Control is not part of the algorithm of the coin. HBN was not hard forked for the wallet feature, Tranz added wallet control to newer HBN wallets. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Kergekoin? Correct. Bitcoin 0.9 also has coin control now. From merge requests i can not see anything which would require hard forking. Nice! So are you going to do it? I think the community and dev would embrace. I just finished it and made pull request. It works just beautifully with my Windows wallet, but likely some testing is needed for linux and mac. If you want to use it before officially confirmed: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ibwj1p88q340tg9/Mintcoin%20with%20CC.zipDefault disclaimer: Im not responsible if you damage your wallet.dat with it. Please be sure you have a backup before overwriting!I downloaded your version but see no diff in sending coins...do I miss something or need to config something somewhere?

I need help. I just opened my wallet today for minting and noticed that it's not syncing anymore. Then I saw the mandatory update to 1.7 wallet (i'm on 1.5 now) in OP and need your help. I'm a tech newb and I'd appreciate if anyone can take me step by step process on how to update wallet. Safest method will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
yes, some people have the same problem with you, and one of many methods is that you delete all other files except wallet.bat. that is to say, you should backup your wallet.bat, and then delete all other files. Try this method, and you may have a wonderful result. Best wishes to you.

You need to enable it. In wallet choose settings-->options-->display-->mark "display coin control features" Click OK. You will see CCF on Send tab now. If you want to send only the newest coins do the following: 1. Open "inputs" 2. Choose list mode 3. Click on conformations twice to sort by lowest amount of conformations first. 4. Select enough adresses to fulfill your required amount. 5. Click OK 6. Use sending tab as usual. Ill give it a go and make short video about this feature soon. ---- Also i will compile mac and windows wallet with openssl 1.01g as soon as openssl.org comes up. It looks like this site is being overloaded a lot after bitcoin announcement. Its not really any threat to mintcoin, but better safe than sorry.

Dont worry about if it loads long time on boot up. It works nicely after it loads.

I will compile a linux version tonight and test it, also I will examine the code changes I think that once we have coin control UI, we can then add in some coin stats UI. Showing how much coins are eligible for staking, how much time is left for new coins, etc, some integrated graphs/histograms would be very nice to assess wallet's PoS status

I continue to be impressed with MintCoin. But here's a thing:
I think I'm minting too much! Or perhaps I'm not understanding the process. Over the last month, I have increased my Mint balance by about 13% due solely to minting. I do have a rather large balance, but does this seem right?

Sounds great! Maybe you could comment on that wallet with coin control kergekoin made? Is it safe to use that feature without destroying the mintcoin itself? No hardfork needed? Just for the less technical guys here on the forum. Thank you

13% per month? You must not be understanding the process? I think the most you can get by strictly saving all your coins and minting them is about ~1.67% per month.

I understand the maths, I have increased my Mintcoin holding by around 13% in a month, purely by minting. I don't understand if this is expected or not. Your response would seem to indicate it isn't.

Wallet won't open with Mavericks
OK, it looks like something was messed up in converting process. Worked fine on my Maverics. I will look in to it.
