We all know Zumzero and GJP and Vince are rather cheerful investors, they know this. There's nothing you can do about it. If they claim they have insider news, let them claim it. Whoever is stupid enough to be buying these shares at .0009 has not heeded any previous advice and there really is nothing you can do to help them now. I've expressed quite a few times that the cheerleading should stop and I am resigned to believe it won't.

Why bang on and on about this though? If Ken is making an announcement why bang on and on and on about it for days saying 'this is going to happen' or 'that is going to happen it will be amazing' when clearly no-one knows for sure? This exact same thing has happened SO many times before it's just grating now.

Where is the benefit to anyone? People are just getting wound up. I think someone somewhere has started this rumor mill and it's got out of hand with everyone jumping onboard at the slightest bit of hopeful gossip that they can latch on to. But whoever started all this must be getting something out of it - selling shares? Once we all get listed on an exchange everyone who wants out will get out and 0.0001 could be the floor for weeks and weeks until something happens....if it ever does. Everyone knows that's coming. Many Hundreds of thousands of shares are going to get dumped, and whoever is buying at 0.0009 is simply getting shafted right now. And anyone encouraging this unfounded exuberance right now is worse than a Troll IMO. You are making people throw money away into an exchange that holds just 1% of the public shares. They are of very limited supply right now, so anyone want to explain what happens when the other 9 Million 900 thousand shares get put up and flood the market? Another 99% to go up. Unelievable.

Back on topic. So this Wednesday news won't be a 28nm then?

News will be nothing of value, nothing but words - guarantee it.

My guess is for something more substantial, along the lines of "we're buying some next-gen Avalon chips to build miners to fill customer orders and mine with as a temporary stop-gap until our custom 28nm chip is ready"

At which point we will have come full circle to near enough to 12 months ago, having achieved almost nothing yet burned and spent and lost much.

And I expect the cycle of incompetence, delays and excuses to continue until the whole thing implodes.  I hope I'm wrong.

Where is this avalon information coming from? Why would we buy avalons? I doubt we have enough money to produce the 28nm chip let alone buy avalons AND produce a 28m chip.

You nailed it we cant produce a 28nm chip or any chip so the most likely news is that we are buying AM or avalon chips.

Yep, our 28nm eASIC was cancelled, our 55nm was cancelled, so far we're 0 from 2 in chip production and nothing that's happened in the last 12 months makes me believe the third try will be the charm.

We can't buy AM chips - AM are competent, deliver on time, and don't screw their customers.  Which is why I predict we'll buy Avalon chips (despite getting burned before), and we'll get burned again, and again, until there is nothing left but a smoking ruin.

Funny (?) thing is, I was pretty much a fence-sitter with a "wait and see" and "give Ken a chance" attitude until this latest round of failures (cancelled 55nm) were delivered via a third party news article.  That slap in the face to shareholders was the last straw for my cautious optimism.  On the plus side, if this debacle actually delivers anything other than hot air and promises, imagine how happy us doubters will be!

This announcement has to be we are using Avalon or AM chips. Look at the Avalon countdown. http://avalon-asics.com/

Ken is expected to release an announcement roughly 24 hours after that ends. Maybe a coincidence but the timing does align. I really doubt we have our own chips given past results.

Why do my posts get deleted?
Because I speak the truth?
That unless Ken comes up with something honest and real soon, that it would be better for all shareholders for him to liquidate and distribute the proceeds?

What is troll-like in that?

Getting something is better than nothing.

Hmm perhaps we are still pursuing 28mm or whatever it is, but Ken has struck a massive deal with Avalon in the meantime (so we can start hashing) ?

isn't ken suppose to be in California this week for some sort of meeting?! , why would he announce this theoretical Avalon chips deal from there? I could be wrong maybe something else going on. At this point who knows  Huh

Nobody knows, but rampant idle speculation has got to be more fun for everyone than the other stuff that's been going on here lately.

The FastHash ASIC was a failure, better buy some chips from HashFast instead.

I can't say what I do know, but I can say what I don't know and that is I hadn't been aware that Avalon chips were even an option until I read that speculation yesterday in this thread.

Also, while the Avalon website has a countdown timer which seems to line up with Ken's Wednesday announcement, Ken was hoping to make his announcement as early as last week.

I don't think this Wednesday is the guaranteed announcement deadline but hope Ken can make it work.

I'm pretty sure I saw a reddit thread regarding the Avalon chips. I didn't post in it because my contribution would have boiled down to "Fuck Avalon" (having been burned three times by their batch three debacle).

what amazes me is that within 3 months KnC was able to tapeout a 20nm chip with a 43% reduction in power consumption.

EDIT: oh and that's after already delivering the world's first 28nm chip ON TIME… All well within these past 12 months… Ken.

KNC had a considerable leg up, by the principals being involved in the cellphone SOC business, thus already having industry contacts and trusted partners in place. They also didn't "start" when you think they did. I believe it was Dec 2012 when they put one of their hashing engines on a "spare corner" of a chip design they were doing for a proof of concept and test.

I can't say what I do know
Why not?

You said you did a bit of PI work on the forum, spoke to a couple of shareholders, put 2+2 together and applied a liberal coating of Ken's "good news coming" gloss.  That doesn't sound like inside information to me.

Share away (and go buy some shares too, if you're confident).

Hell no. All hardware vendors get accused of being scammers and liars when things don't go to plan, but HashFast is looking like an example of a company that is actually acting in bad faith.

(Seriously, taking an objective view of everyone else, you can accuse them of bungling, over-optimism, bad luck, bad supplier relations, or whatever, but HashFast will promise you the moon to get you to order then deliberately reneg.)

Edit: IMO AM thumbs up, Avalon thumbs down.

That countdown was scheduled to end last night about 12 hours ago, then it refreshed to add 24hrs.  now it says 2 days, 9 hours.

avalon clearly isnt ready with thier new gen

Fortunately for Ken he said, "about 14 days", which gives him months of wiggle room.

Whether Ken's announcement comes out tomorrow or not. We have our weekly update tomorrow. If things are not going as planned for this latest endeavor then we should hear about it tomorrow.

Who cares what the plan is?  I'm being serious.  Good news would normally allow us to have a nice boost in the share value.  But because we don't have access to our shares, the good news is going to mean that when we finally do get our shares the value will just go down if it peaks with the good news.

We all (Including me) need to stop speculating and demand access to our shares.  This is ridiculous waiting around for colored coins or a legal filing when there are actively traded shares on CT right now!  It's complete B.S. that we have to wait for those other two things while anyone new jumping in to grab shares can ignore those problems and trade away.

The "news" does nothing for anyone here that hasn't bought new shares on CT.  Which I am sure is most everyone reading this thread.

We all have nothing right now.  Nothing.  So what if Ken comes on and says he has a new super chip that runs at 20nm and can also fold your laundry.  It's a zero sum game folks.  We get nothing without our shares.

We are being blocked by Ken from trading.

He has had so many excuses.

I am now certain Ken has no record of the shareholder list.

This is what scares me the most. But Ken had ample amount of time to grab the Bitfunder asset list.

He could paste the list onto a pastebin site. It's a public knowledge list anyway.

He could shut me up in 4 seconds.

But he will never do it. Because he doesn't have it.
