It's all a bit surreal.
Trading on the platform is still very much active - as if nothing is amiss, and according to CMC, Bittrex are accounting for over 10% of all BTC trading today between their various pairings. I guess the whales are unaffected by all of this.
I can also see from their Twitter feed that people are getting their tickets resolved in the last hour or so.
I have a lot of money locked up there and had pretty much given up hope of getting it back but maybe there's still a chance.

Their third party validator, Jumio, couldn't verify the downloaded images....which is a bunch of bullshit! That's after their "third party" verifier couldn't verify my account from public records....which is even more bullshit!

Did some quick research,

Jumio filed for bankruptcy last year, was quickly acquired by Centana Growth Partners & from what i can tell both are paying for press release articles to spin themselves in positive light. It appears there's a noticeable shortage of organic positive reporting regarding either. Just money being pushed around.

Locking an account is completely unacceptable.  At the very least all funds should be allowed to be withdrawn and then after that they can disable accounts or require whatever verification they want for further trading.  This is nothing less than pure theft.  People deposited their funds and now they can't get them back and have done nothing illegal by simple trading.  I hope Bittrex and everyone involved in running their site pays dearly for this scam.

Worst thing about it, is it appears they have a bot that detects a high deposit and then the next day locks down your account. Like a roach motel; check in ok, but never allowed to check out.

Today I deposited some coins to sell. I did not use Bittrex for 8 weeks.

Now without prior notice I had to give them my address, name and birth date to be able to withdraw the Btc. If they had send me a mail where they explained their change of terms I would never have made this deposit.

You can not change the rules without sending a warning you fucking bitches!

I used an old address and a different name because why should I give them my real info? Crypto is anonymous.

They could not find the data in their public records and now they want me to upload a copy of my id card and a selfie.

I can't withdraw anything and I really don't want to give them this kind of sensitive information.

What the fuck! I will never trade at Bittrex again.

It probably wouldn't have mattered anyway because I gave them everything they asked for, all accurate and true, and they still would not verify me. They just kept asking for more and more.  They more I gave, the more they wanted.  I finally had enough when they asked for the example I posted above.  They don't plan on releasing our funds ---> something very dark is taking place on Bittrex!

Same here, I gave them fully legit info & I still failed verification. Now they want copies of docs etc.

On a side note, anyone that talks positively of Bittrex while leaving out the amount of reported problems (or shadyness in arbitrary policy changes) is suspect.

I'm not saying people with positive experiences on Bittrex don't exist (although dwindling in numbers) but the lack of acknowledgement creates suspicion.

Pumping self-interest is constant on these forums, and Bittrex supporters shouldn't be an exception to scrutiny at this point.

I got my account disabled a few months back but luckily there were no fund. They re-enabled it after a few days from ticket submission but from what I read here, it may not be the case if I were to have a significant fund there.

Traded and withdrew 0.2BTC worth of fund couple of days ago without any delay but after I read all these nightmare stories about people getting their account disabled even when they are verified, definitely won't use them until they clarified everything and returned everyone's fund.

With Poloniex and HitBTC also seems to have significant withdrawal and account problem, I guess the only one that is good and have a high volume is Binance. Quoine/Qryptos and Bitfinex doesn't seems to have account locking problem but their withdrawal are manual and could take 12-24 hours to complete.

Is there any other altcoins exchange from what I mentioned that is still good?

I've done everything they've requested of me and they still will not release my funds. I've submitted my ID card, a selfie, and my Social Security number. Now, this is their latest request from me; a selfie, holding up my ID card with note that says "Bittrex" with the date.  They sent the example below and it creeped me out because I feel like I am negotiating with the FEDS now!

This is getting too spookey and I am considering lawyering up....BEWARE....It looks like they are trying to collect evidence to build cases for the government!  So much for pseudo-anonymity.  All pseudo and no anonymity....LOL....They can go fuck themselves!

You know? ---> if the little creepy dude in their example above didn't have that shit-eating grin on his face, it wouldn't have freaked me out so bad!  I wouldn't have been smiling if I submitted what they wanted and I could see them saying that I failed verification for not smiling and then requesting a DNA swab next.

It look like they are running out of money.
Blocking withdrawal is the only thing they can do to avoid total bankruptcy

Had my LEGACY Account everything worked fine.
Then without warning the account was turned into a NEW account with 0.025 BTC limit.
After 3 weeks limit dropped down to 0. Now I can't withdraw anything.

They also changed their FAQ page. Limit on NEW accounts are 0 now before 0.025 BTC
I don't think they can't just change their terms without giving everybody
a heads up.

Support just says If I want my money I have to do the extended verification process.
As fare as I know BASIC verification only works with US citizens. Basically everybody
outside US has to send a copy of their ID to them. It's ridiculous

I'm curious, is there anyone in this thread from the U.S. who has gotten BASIC verification processed and is now able to withdraw?

I mean Basic verification AFTER all these new rules were put in place. If now verified, did you have to tweet in order to get your ticket processed or was there some other trick?

I got an answer to my ticket within minutes but it was the typical copy paste "In order to increase your limits you will need to verify your account" nonsense.

Not having a grace period and allowing users to withdraw their funds without the new rules is retarded.

Yes they could solve their overworked not able to responded to tickets problem somewhat by reinstating Legacy members and giving them a grace period for the changes., its only fair.

I have opened two tickets in the timespan of three days. The sequence number on zendesk grew for over 21.000. On twitter people are reporting of waiting times over two months. This exchange is going bananas. Get out while you still can!!
