Maybe they wanna get a panic reaction, so a lot of people will sell their coins, which would lead to a massive
pricedrop, so they can get more coins at a cheaper price.

yeah, that's true they just want to manipulate the price of bitcoin by saying that it is dead and its not going to survive, majority of the people get carried away with it and sell their coins the lowest price.

BTC will die when drug stores collapse, not before.

Gambling is a way bigger deal for bitcoin I think because of all the tax issues and bitcoin adds simplicity and instant payment.   When is gambling going away, never.   Bitcoin is playing dead like a dog playing a trick, people want to play the market and create waves of selling from weak holders.   The only thing really is bitcoin core stability, even various websites failing is not a fault of the protocol and the other factor is competition both conventional and other block chain ideas and to me thats the most feasible - that someone invents a successor

Bitcoin aint dead but theres a natural cycle to everything so who knows when a replacement is no longer the false start we seen so often

Well i think they just want to discourage people to hold bitcoin so that people will panic to sell and  bitcoin will be down and the other altcoin will be raise. Every month there's a new altcoin born and they want to promote their coin to be next bitcoin. But they can't stop popularity of bitcoin and i believe that bitcoin will not die in the future..

Such a statement could have a lot of reasons.
IT is probably the best to further ask in which context this has been uttered.
The question is much too superficial to be answered correctly,
as you can't see the intention. Could have a lot of reasons.

Hey mates, hold your coins secured because so many will want to cause panic and use the opportunity to make gains. Also, there are some people especially,  government institutions that don't really want cryptocurrency to succeed because the felt threatened  but you know what! we are in a digital era and as such cryptocurrency had come to stay and rule the world; make no mistake about this.

Because they are very negative about Bitcoin earlier and that is not good. The price is now rising slowly.
So Bitcoin is not dead, but it started just now and that is good. But you never know what can happen later in the future.

Future of bitcoin would be good for sure, and the people keep on saying bitcoin is dead only because they lack knowledge and they just listen to what people around them talks about bitcoins.

People have different views on how they see bitcoin.

But intially what that says about the person is how they perceive risk so they assume it`ll die. Lets be honest here, if that person knew how to hedge back to afford the loss of that bitcoin they wouldnt say those remarks and be happy they are in profit.

And then gloat how bitcoin is the best thing that happened to them.

They're definitely the fringe end of the Bitcoin economy, I would highly doubt the capacity for Bitcoin to hit such numbers in our lifetime without some massive change in the economic system or some major event that wouldn't happen more than once a life.

I can maybe see Bitcoin reaching $1500 when I'm 70 or 80, if it is still around by then, due to a mix of adoption and inflation.

true, most people just came to the conclusion at the time of bitcoin prices down, thus causing a lot of people selling bitcoin is causing further price drops and they also said that bitcoin will die to add to the panic

People get panic when they see a drastic fall in the fall of the price in a short term of growth. See such variation in price often makes them believe Bitcoin is on the death path. Such situation occurred many times but the users who trusted Bitcoin has made it grow defeating the statement die.

Some people do not believe in the bitcoin anymore because they sold it on the wrong moment, and there are also some haters that want to speculate a lot to influence the market price of the bitcoin.
I think these people just need to stay away from bitcoin because the bitcoin is getting back up and it is the future of all currency's.

Yeah, majority of us had a same feeling at the initial stage, as the price keeps on moving up and down, so if the price falls to a extreme level we start thinking that bitcoin will not survive.
