I think it's because the media often make some bad news about bitcoin. Those news could make bitcoin has negative review. And because of it peope are afraid to use bitcoin and prefer to avoid it.
In fact, with all those bad news about bitcoin, bitcoin still strong as best cryptocurrency untill now, and we should keep in faith to bitcoin, because bitcoin has great future ahead.

As long as bitcoin exist it will not be going to be dead. Bitcoin is a like drug, once you use it,you cant it stop. As long as there are users bitcoin will live forever. |

Most of the media and Some users really don't know how to make profit with bitcoin. They buy or sell their Bitcoin at the inappropriate time and end up in loss. This needs a clear understanding of Bitcoin and its technology. Only then these statements can be overcome... I think any investment should be carefully evaluated before you will put your money and since bitcoins is a digital currency and investment as well it is risky to put your investment in this as it is not regulated by the government. The ups and downs of the price is just normal and with the current price we can still make money but when you are easily tempted to sell when you see a panic selling you will not succeed in your goal. |

People will definitely only mention that Bitcoin is dead is because of continued low value rates. This will disappoint people all over the world for nowadays bitcoin has been all around for business and transaction. If bitcoins value will continue to fall this will be definitely dead.

well, I see topics kind of "bitcoin is dead", "sell" same as I see topics "time to buy" "bitcoin rise", so I do not know what to believe. But I have some friends here who are longer in all this and have like hero rank, they all say that all those topics about death of bitcoin created to make people sell it to somebody could buy it by the low price and in a time, when price for bitcoin will rise - some of those people can became a millionares.

And your friend is correct with that. They create false information for people to get scared and maybe try to panic sell. That way price will go down and they will start buying as many as they can. |

The value is always too low for them, if it isn't setting a new all-time high then they aren't satisfied and some will go as far as to think that Bitcoin is dying because it isn't making a new market cap record every day of the week. Or you have very cynical users who think it' collapsing just because. |

Because people thought BTC will overthrow fiat money overnight. This didn't happen so they lost hope.
Hmm.. that could be a reason but in my opinion there aren't that much people who thinks fiat will be replaced by bitcoin and gives more priority to fiat and take bitcoin as only investment so what for those people then ? |

i think that might be the case, besides that people might be afraid of bitcoin evolving and taking over the banks and other financial institutions People are not actually afraid but banks are, they will be the most who are affected if bitcoin population will grow substantially as people will prefer to bank their money in blockchain once educated that put their money in a bank which is subject to inflation and sometimes with negative interest rate. |

Not even just the whales, some smaller investors do the same thing and think that they actually have an impact or something on the value by saying that Bitcoin is dead. They don't really, but they believe they mean something when the price moves due to some big news. Only big press releases or big news moves the value, individuals making statements that aren't well known in the community are ignored. |

yes that is a fact and we can see that the price of bitcoin is quite stable and not decreasing it is still trading in a high rate but still we can say that it has potential to raise more high and high. so it is not good to say that bitcoin is dead because its user and investors are active then how can bitcoin be dead so easily. |

i think you might be right about it but actually whales might also want to see higher prices to make more profit out of bitcoins they have people sometimes hate bitcoins then they say that it is dead because they want it to be dead so there would be no threat for banks |
