I believe that's the reason as well for the price drop
Whenever something like that happens, it's obviously a reason for a price drop
People tend to chicken out whenever some developer quits.

On the forum there are a lot of fudsters who try to harm bitcoin. I don't see the point of doing that but they apparently do.
Then making bogus threads saying the end of the world, the end of bitcoin, the downfall of bitcoin, is there.

That applies on the altcoin markets, for bitcoin the developer team has been the same team, without a period that there were no developers. Reason is that the bitcoin team is managed better the most altcoins. |

At 2020 people will stop saying bitcoin its dead, as i believe next halving, will reach the 1000 dollars value, soo people will regret to not be part of bitcoin today, or even before, the most people who says such were those who saw bitcoin crashing on the begining.
If you think and search around then you will find that people from now has stopped to say that bitcoin is dead. They now know that the price of bitcoin is much better and people like to choose bitcoin for their investment and for using it for their online transactions and other purchases etc. Its quite hard to talk to anybody who knows bitcoin, and use or have it besides this forum and some more others forums, soo for those person bitcoin isnt nothing they dont know it. But the media always get a paid history to damage bitcoin since the begining and till now they all fail and bitcoin its getting bigger. |

Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.
I just don't get it.
Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!
Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!
This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?
I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.
Many people say that the bitcoin dead in that months since dropped the bitcoin its price . And almost all traders disappointed at being dismissed because it suddenly dropped . But in that months luck who purchased bitcoin,for a few months to raise the price of bitcoin and it became stable . So those who say that bitcoin is death because they purchased high price and it suddenly dropped . |

People keep saying that BTC is dead because they don't trust Bitcoin. Maybe they saw that there aren't much market movements at that time so they say that BTC is dead. They aren't patient enough for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the number one cryptocurrency right now and all other coins are depending on Bitcoin.
Some people do not trust bitcoin. Some people want to buy the bitcoin at a cheaper price. So they talk down bitcoin. Exactly, rhey want to buy bitcoin at lower price rhats why they keep on saying its dead etc. Whether they like it or not,bitcoin is here to stay as there are people who support it and using it.Now that we know its cheap to send anywhere and reliable too. |

I believe there are different reasons. One of them is that people wants to make other people think btc is dead, saying it is a scam, in order to create FUD.

thats right mate those people who always say that btc is dead are the one's that wanted to buy it to a cheaper price and just wanted to take advantage btc is already got into its popularity so impossible to die easily. |

well, if you ask me. I would say bitcoin will never die.. some people say that whenever they see bitcoin's price dropping. but let me tell these people bitcoin price's ups and downs is really doesn't matter and it really doesn't mean that bitcoin is dying or will die... the main and most important thing is the userbase. and bitcoin's userbase is increasing like hell.. more and more people comming to it. then how could it will die? |

Mates, this thread is as old and decrepit as a poop of a dinosaur. It had been started in February, 2014, that is, more than two and a half years ago, when the price just started to collapse from the ATH of ~$1,200 reached earlier in November-December, 2013. No surprise folks had been telling that Bitcoin was going to die any time (soon). But you still as stubbornly as foolishly continue trying to explain why "people keep saying BTC is dead" (and I'm 100% sure some will continue doing it again and again here)... You really don't have a clue that no one is saying that Bitcoin is dead or dying any longer? |

I am not sure on why people say that Bitcoin is dead I am sure that people have different reason for this because they will not say it without a reason. They keep posting btc is dead etc cause they want you to sell them all causing prices to drop and then they can buy for very cheap and sell high when it increases again.
That and also people are just negative and want to force their opinion on one another and when that doesn't work they get frustrated.
