Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?!

Because they are either mindless idiots, or newbies who dont understand BTC, or shills who are pushing an agenda against it.

People who might had scheduled an income plan, might have not reached the calculated value which results in their financial burst, So this creates a thought that bitcoin is dead

Most wallstreeters have no idea what will happen to their investments in the next crisis, so they ignore bitcoin and dismiss it, even downgrade it.

Then when you will see -90% stock drops, or hyperinflation to stop the crash, then people will think seriously about bitcoin.

Yes they are ignorant.
They've read something about bitcoin between the drugs currency and now they think all is bad.
Very sad for them, since they will lose out.

Let them miss out the ones that know what it is about are here and that is for sure. Smart money will always find investments like btc.
If and when the time comes when the stocks crash and keep crashing to unprecedented levels there will be to much rushing to save money and that is no doubt when gold will pump not btc, although btc will pick up some new investors.
It takes time to learn about btc to want to invest crazy amounts.

Original question.... This thread was over a year old and op people are still screaming it is dead for like the 100th time, that will always be with us whether it is because of a $20 drop in price or some news like the recent Mike fud or some whales shilling to get cheap coin.
To many reasons to go through them all but it is nothing to worry about.

Most of this guys just missed the train. They didn't understand how to sell or buy Bitcoin.
Because of that reason they just jump at Bitcoin.
Also it's true that most of the bankers don't like Bitcoin. So they initiate campaigns against BTC.

I do not see a campaign against bitcoin at the moment. The news about bitcoin is mostly positive, not negative.

Well the media are not supports of bitcoin, this much is true.
But that's not the problem. Most certainly people are afraid

Since there is no solution about the block time.

Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.

I just don't get it.

Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!

Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!

This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?

I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.

it is really old topic but there are sellers and buyers in bitcoin.. it needs to think in long term . Do not sink into pessimism..

I think you can not blame the bank, people are scared they lose money.
Its also possible that people are thinking bitcoin is dead because the recent low price of the bitcoin

They are wrong ofcourse because the bitcoin will raise soon after the halving but some people do not understand bitcoin.

Its because they don't have a clue what they are talking about, also they are worried about loosing there bitcoin compared to USD

I think some of them has a clue and are looking at the graph, and some of them are probably just having a problem coz they buy at high price.  Smiley

Exactly some have clue and they want to make profit out of it by creating fear among the new bitcoin adopters and buying btc from them at lesser price

your opinion happens but this time thats not the reason for people saying bitcoin is dead. Bitcoin has been facing a great fall after few unwanted statements put forth, due to recent market situation. This gets to a stable growing path soon. Now too people who has been earning high saying its on death path, as they are not getting their calculated profit

Those are the people who always want to take advantage on new adopters who are are in fear of their bitcoins value starting to depreciate..  Smiley

I think the Wall Street institutions are beginning to collecting the bitcoin at the moment. That is the reason they make sure the price is low.

They are probably trying to manipulate the coin value, so the price will go down and they can buy even more cheap coins
and sell them when the price is high again

You know, this is very likely actually. If you are sure that Bitcoin will stay firm in the future then you decide to buy BTC as much as possible. You start saying that Bitcoin is dead, media spreads the news, price drops, you buy, you win. Then, several years later, you write a book "How I Made My Millions". Simple. )

Bitcoin will never die. Too much money involved for that to happen.
It will survive forever, maybe at 10$ or maybe at 10K$

Exactly, bitcoin can never be dead, it will survive for sure, maybe it face some competition from new entrants in future and some other crypto will take its place, but it will never disappear for sure, irrespective of the price.

It was my conviction since some weeks before. Was my conviction even that not only will never die but that will have an unimaginable value in the years to come. Every week, months, every year would have been see e new and more higher price than the previous one. But today I have big doubts for its future. I am confuse about to many things regarding it. So some days or weeks ago was appeared the bitcoin classic. What is this? A new bitcoin? New in everything or only on some lateral things? We will need two wallets to hold each of those or these can be mixed with one each other? In few words it is the same product but not with jeans but with pants (or without pants at all)? And if are different products which the best? It is so important that damn 1 MB that was the cause of the new bitcoin and the that will be the cause of the division in two groups of all the followers of the dream named bitcoin? Who can give answers to those questions?

Yeah, that's true, people will keep on saying whatever comes to their minds, either they don't know exactly what bitcoin is or they just want to manipulate the price of coin, it totally depends on an individual whether to believe in bitcoins or not.

That is likely the case. Post on a lot of bearish topics, bring them up to light recently, and then start adjusting people's perceptions on how the price will turn. Then, as a lot of people start dumping as you continue the discussion, you can get profit off of it. It just requires a lot of influence to manipulate others. Eventually, if you have enough people being bullish, the majority of people will be sheep and follow the bandwagon and popular opinion.

Psychology, yeah!
