Today we discuss the consensus’ architecture on a high level, and how design choices impact the time it takes for transactions to complete, how disagreements are settled, and how nodes can participate in the consensus. These decisions relate to regulatory directives and legal requirements, and whilst they are technical in nature they directly impact the compliance and usability of a protocol.

Maybe they want in on the first day or they just don't know about it yet. I don't really care. I am not selling until this hits top 20. And even then it will be half of my coins.

May i ask what's wrong with the current plan? Tokens are not even on the market and you are asking the team to manipulate the price already? I don't think that's going to happen.

Poseidon - The most efficient zero-knowledge friendly implementation

Poseidon is a hash function designed to minimize prover and verifier complexities when zero-knowledge proofs are generated and validated. Compared to competitor hash functions, such as Pedersen Hash, Poseidon uses up to 8x fewer constraints per message bit, which means that it is significantly faster.

Dusk uses zero-knowledge cryptography to preserve privacy.  For example to prove that a user is part of a whitelist, a coin is unspent, proving the knowledge of a hash pre-image and much more. To do that effectively, we organize a so-called Merkle tree (not for every above-mentioned use case) that is used to prove that the transactor knows the opening of an element. The complexity of a proof depends on how large the circuit is, that is required to compute the path of the Merkle tree. Regular cryptographic hash functions such as SHA-256 or SHA-3 require large circuits as they are not tailored to finite fields used in ZK proof systems. Poseidon is a hash function designed to minimize the size of the circuits and thus to minimize the prover and verifier complexities.

Bitfinex is not such good like in 2017. As for now top exchanges are: Binance, Okex, Huobi and Bitmax. Kucoin is quite good too. All this exchanges pumped a lot their last IEOs...

They may not be in the top list now but, they do have good credibility in the crypto world like bittrex.

Exactly. Bitfinex is a solid exchange for the start. Bitmax, Huobi and Okex mostly report fake trading volume. Maybe they can list their token there too at some point but I don't see a reason why any of these would be a better choice than Bitfinex for the start.

Today we discuss our smart contract (XSC). In particular, the controllable standard that grants the contract owner, or issuer, additional powers such as the ability to force transfer their XSC-based securities, even when they are in an investors’ wallet. The ability to do so comes from legal and regulatory requirements and we discuss the measures that prevent misuse.

In the next 2 days there will be a V20 summit about crypto regulations. They are going to be discussing the new rules of the FATF, like the travel rule which means every transaction needs to include personal information. Obviously that is bound to have a huge impact on crypto.
