Anyone reading up on using the bitcoin blockchain as Proof of Existence?

http://www.computerworld.com/article/2498077/desktop-apps/could-the-bitcoin-network-be-used-as-an-ultrasecure-notary-service-.html

Just trying to think of new ways to use bitquark too since I have 0 bitcoins and a few hundred bitquarks (about $0.50 worth so far!)

I have a great idea for the blockchain size problem, but it's beyond my skill level. If I can find another dev to come on board that knows more about C++ and the blockchain functionality, then the future blockchain issue will be solved forever. I'm not going to say right out what my idea is, but it will shrink the blockchain size down to approx. 20% of the current size!!! It would be smaller than it's current size and remain with in 10% - 15% of that size for forever! Wink

Mr.B!, what's your BTQ address??

I have a theory about the price / dumping. The QEX operator is dumping all the coins they took when they closed. Either that or whoever pumped it last is dumping at satoshi worth of price to make people want to sell lower before round two of pumping.

I think you might be right about that! I forgot all about QEX!!! Great time to buy if they want to dump!

Just registered like twenty minutes ago! haha

EDIT:
sgminer 5.0 still loads into 4.2.2 when i run it. Im using a radeon 5850.

I tried with and without "--difficulty-multiplier 256". I apparently still need it when using 5.0 otherwise it shows an outrageous hashrate for me.

I will look and see if I can find a resolution for this issue...thanks for the update!

QUESTION: What can we do to get more support for BTQ?? I really would like to get some of the Quarkcoin people on board.

Hello,
Favorite coin is BTQ from the beginning, I like the DEV active

It is cheers for good work effort of the market opening of the recently

It is regrettable that there is no lively BTQ while having a DEV active

Suggestions:
I want a feature that allows you to search directly Block Explorer in the client GUI

PS,
There is a movement and supernet, but something like this would you like?
http://thesupernet.org/

It is not sorry in clumsy English

For the next 24 (starting @ 11PM EST) hours I'm running a promo 'Find a Block, Get a Block'. Signup and start mining BTQ at http://pool.bitquark.info

UPDATE:  Since the pool was down for several hours, the 'Find a Block, Get a Block' promo will be extended for an extra 8 hrs. So the promo will end 9/19/2014 @ 7:00 AM EST.

Just got an email from UTXnet.com and here's what it said:
Quote
I'd like to let you know per the request of users of UTX (utxnet.com) #UTX, we will be adding Bitquark to the currencies we are offering our users. We are a ripple gateway in Beta testing offering a safe, secure and reliable gateway onto the Ripple network. UTX will start offering Bitquark support onto Ripple starting this Saturday 20th.

So this is pretty awesome! Smiley

That's awesome, but we still need a bigger user base for bitquark.  Comkort gets no volume and c-cex is only getting a little.  We need to tell more people about it.

I created a usb wallet for my wife and we're planning on selling "services" to each other for bitquark.  Hey, it's a start.

This is true! It looks like we've picked up a couple new miners by offering the 'Find a Block, Get a Block' promo at the pool. What are some other things that we could do to bring in more people? Just post idea's and we will see what we can get done! Smiley

Haha "services" huh...that's pretty kool there lol

While craigslist and backpage may still have an adult "services" ad section, we've decided to leave that category out of the crypto flea market ads you can place.

Although, if hookers started accepting litecoins and bitquark I think you might see the market cap skyrocket!
