What does this mean exactly? How does this affect the coin? i was thinking that it is good to see some hashpower directed to our coin. that's sure to raise the diff though. good to see some interest overall. i've bought a bunch on comkort, long term prospects are good i think

That's hardware that could be mining any coin, and it's mining FUNK. That must mean that they see it worthwhile to mine rather than other coins. They must have been following it and noticed it's going somewhere. Maybe they believe in the cause.

Hey @tylerderden! Welcome. Would be cool to hear some tunes. Drop it in! I think the recent attention is mostly because the halving is coming up! At block 262815, which shoud be soon. We're almost a year old?! Wow. Plans? As I said previously. I'm busy working with a company building some really cool new token-based decentralized community tools. When the time is right (probably only around April), I'll drop a proposal again to the community for us to switch over to this new system. As always, anything mined right now will be transferable to the new system. There are several reasons why a switch would be cool: Mainly 1) that we don't have to do mining anymore (and by virtue having a more secure blockchain), and 2) much faster and quicker agility to roll out cool tech for the coin. Working with a fully fledged altcoin is cumbersome. I know I have detailed some changes in the past and never got around to it, but I feel pretty confident about the stuff I'm working on right now (the backbone for token-communities). I'm actually getting paid to do it (my main job), so I'm devoting all my time to it, and not just side-project time. I feel it could be much more useful than just for us (for other communities as well). That's my hopes. Hope everyone is going well! cheers

I understand that can happen, which is why if we change, we'll need full community support. Happy birthday guys! (Where's the party emoticons on here?)

Hello Cypherfunks! You have a nice idea here guys. A few suggestions: - Make it a N-factor scrypt (ASIC resistant). This will attract more people and keep the ASICS out (this is really important). - Why not promoting it as a decentralized currency for digital distribution of music. This way the musicians can benefit from the crypto-currency revolution directly. FUNKS can be used to promote, sponsor, advertise .etc the new artists - In general you could make it about all the bedroom producers and garage acts not only your band and assist the music community to become decentralized too. Again a great idea ! It's important to note that "The Cypherfunks" is not MY band. Everyone IS the band. Just like cryptocurrencies allow free reign to affiliation, so will "The Cypherfunks": but for music. Also, you don't have to release music under "The Cypherfunks" to reap benefits from it, just like musicians currently ask for Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin donations. That is cool, I didn't realize exactly what "The Cypherfunks" was till now.

too bad about Allcrypt https://www.allcrypt.com/blog/category/allcrypt-com-news/i'll ask cryptopia if they will list us edit - can't because we don't have a pre-compiled linux wallet otherwise, good to go. maybe yobit? In order for a cryptocurrency to be hosted on Cryptopia it needs to satisfy the following requirements: Open Source. No pre-mine, or justified pre-mine prior to launch. Bummer to hear about Allcrypt. Anything else can work. This might be a nice exchange for Funk, they have a small ltc market and an mrc2 market that is starting to grow. https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/indexThey seem very open to adding new coins https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/coin_formalcurEX Open Market Publish your CryptoCurrency on alcurEX exchange. This is Free service for every coin. Fill *required information about your coin and submit this form. Market will be ready to use right after we check sourcecode and wallet. Currently only QT-wallet coins are supported (Bitcoin eg.) If you have 2.generation coin you want to publish, please contact us support@alcurex.infoYou don't need to be coin developer to publish it here. This is free market for any coins, but make developer to know about you are adding coin in here. We will inform on coin bitcointalk thread when wallet is ready on alcurEX. If coin gets any volume, it will be jump in main market (BTC, LTC or MRC market). Three days zero volume will drop coin back to "Open markets" menu.

(help>debug window>console>enter repairwallet) <<<------= but make a backup of the wallet.dat first Okay... My wallet is in sync, but I also have no confirmations. The chain is alive. Only thing I can think of is that the current 60mh miner is mining without including any transactions. Which I think is the case here. Doing a getrawmempool returns all the current transactions scheduled to be included (but it is not). Or ask if they have a threshold for fees. EDIT: I suspect they might even be mining "over" other participants. As soon as someone else publishes a block, they bring out a strong chain so that only they continue to get rewards. Still is all guessing here since there other several occasions where there are orphans... which wouldn't make sense if one miner is strong-arming it.

OK - my gpus are very busy but i'm squeezing out a few hashes for FUNK's sake. if anyone else would jump on too it would be a big help - ~30khps is all i can spare atm and at the current diff it will prolly take a while to hit a block
[edit] on the other hand, maybe someone else is already on there
