There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

The thing people need to realize is as holders of this coin you determine the value. There is no great new supply of coins coming in so as you hold the scarcity of coins on the market rise and as that rises prices go along with it, as long as there is demand. I believe a lot of new investors don't see this or the scared that panic sell don't realize they have a lot more control of this market as a whole than POW coins that are just getting mined and dumped for profit.
Yep. There are always going to be stages of someone cashing out. It happened at 4k sat. It happened again 9K sat. And it has once again happened. But if we keep putting our efforts (and GPUs) back into this coin, the upward buy pressure is going to win out in the long run, as it already has been. Stay strong everyone. In fact this movement down has motivated me to do even work now on my supporting P2Pool.  And Iconic, that letter was nice. Thank you for it. Make the pool X11 and I'm all in. Summer/spring/year round is crazy hot where I live at most of the time so I haven't been able to mine on the multipool and wont unless someone makes an X11 one  X11 pool just makes sense, all the GPU miners will be involved in that - lower temps = lower power consumption + higher hash rates. I briefly exchanged pm's with Soepkip yesterday asking about the X11 pool and from the response I got it seems the ball is already rolling in the right direction that would be great high ambient temps make me have to lower the hashrate |

I'm concerned the latency to the blackcoinpool is shocking from here in London... I would guess that 10-15% of my hashing power is getting lost (some of it gets redirected to my backup pool but still).
Is there an EU node in the making?

WOW I woke up to carnage and half my portfolio wiped out. Is it the time to sell most of it all and count my losses or just stay in and HOPE that there maybe a price increase. Yes I am bagholding because the last 1.5k coins I bought over 40k..What a shame the whales played us yet again. They control the markets. Time ot not li8sten to all the hysteria but to my gut next time. I still like the coin and probably will have to hold and wait.  |

What is your store/service? I run a local PC and Cell Phone repair shop. Here is an article about my place. its a bit dated as i have changed location. Hoping to open up a second store next year. Accepting crypto just makes sense for me. Always innovative right? EDIT: The nasty comment on my article was from my competitor. He later got arrested for defrauding clients. LOL |

Back To Business Yesterday I announced we are going to do a follow up press release. The first release was introducing BC to the world, now this release will focus on the great accomplishments of this community and the future of BC. Soepkip, I am working on a project for unbreakable contracts and decentralized cross platform markets. I'm decentralizing everything. Its like the Bitcoin client 2.0 on crack. Its a great project. First version is for Bitcoin but I want to put out the second version for Blackcoin. Also, this will allow Blackcoin to be a great pair for a decentralized exchange (my contracts would be faster for 1st confirmations making the orderbook move faster) Its a massive project that will change crypto. I will need more devs eventually for now its just me. We will have to keep in touch eventually. Expect to see the first version of my client in a few weeks.

Its a lot of fucking work. I made the client from scratch. Its not NXT either. NXT requires a middle coin. My system eliminates all middle men it will eliminate the need for coinbase nxt and it will get rid of tx maleability issues in bitcoin and remove a lot of fud on how to buy bitcoins in the first place. Theoretically, a decentralized exchange can be coded without a middle coin but that project is more that a few months away. Maybe you should learn to code and actually work instead of standing by the sidelines attacking everyone. And you can use my program with your "crapcoin" that you are probably trolling behind. Maybe you are clever enough to copy+paste code in python. But it wont matter because Blackcoin will flush whatever you are supporting down the toilet. |

Actually, to me it sounds like NXT without the massive issues that coin has technically speaking... I can't wait to see it personally. Sounds very interesting dzimbeck. It doesnt do anything Bitcoin cant do already. It just uses some very clever tricks to work around all the problems Bitcoin was facing. Although once its finished I think people will realize that a faster coin will be even better and then people will turn to coins (like) blackcoin but there will be others im sure. But yeah thanks. I will do an announcement when Im done. I want to make a commercial explaining all of the problems it solves before release but Im in a time crunch I may not be so lucky hahaha. |
