I wonder if the latest estimate is still 2pm est. I'd imagine it to pick up rate in the morning as people point their miners to this coin as we get closer to 2600. The rate of increase in hash power will increase and thus, block time should decrease.

perfect time to discuss miner settings while reward is so low

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=200
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
vertminer --scrypt-vert  -o 127.0.0.1:5555 -u user -p pass -w 256 -I 13 -g 2 -l 1 --thread-concurrency 8191,8192 -Q 0 -s 2 -E 4

so what do you guys change for 280x's this get me 730kh/s each card scrypt. but only 200 and 250 respectively scrypt-n.
changing TC to 8192 for first card gets me 250,250kh/s.

what else you guys try? I hear 350 is very achievable with 280x's

waltsmith

I get 388Kh/s with each 280X with the following:

vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o 192.168.1.68:6857 -u user -p x  --lookup-gap 0 --auto-fan --auto-gpu -l 1 -g 2 -I 13 --gpu-memclock 1800 --gpu-engine 1120 --gpu-powertune 20 --thread-concurrency 8192

I'm running two Asus R9 280X TopCU

I think these cards like -g 2 and 8192 TC in general...  just gotta play with your clock speeds to tweak them for your specific cards.

This worked for me. I was at 170, and now am at 300 (It's been slowly moving up by a kh at a time from 200 which is odd , but considering what I had before it is well worth it). I also had to change to I 13 manually in the miner for some reason.

There seems to be something I'm missing, here.  Block reward goes up at block 2600.  Site says that's in an hour.  It's only going to be around block 1300 in an hour.

What am I missing?

You're missing the time zone. it's 14:00 EST so 2:00 pm EST. That's in 13 hours.

"intensity" : "13",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"expiry" : "30",
"scan-time" : "5",
"thread-concurrency" : "8193"

is this correct for 290 (non x) gpu? or not?

I'm running two Asus R9 280X TopCU

I think these cards like -g 2 and 8192 TC in general...  just gotta play with your clock speeds to tweak them for your specific cards.

You are running those cards way too hard for that hashrate. I get 386kh/s with memclock 1500 and gpu engine 1080. I also am at 0 powertune and undervolted to 1.1 volts. I am also using Asus cards, more than 1 and they are both the same. You should probably try to lower those settings since you are using a lot of electricity overclocking that much.

Mind posting your settings?

-w 256 -g 2 -I 13 --thread-concurrency 8193 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine X --gpu-powertune 0

I have 8 different 280x's and they all use those base settings for scrypt and n-scrypt.

All 280X's as far as I know should use 1500 memclock. I have tried other settings and the hashrate just drops.

Gpu clock will vary from card to card, you just have to test to see which one is best for your card. My lowest card runs at 1024 for n-scrypt and the highest is 1080. But the hashrate difference is minimal.

Powertune and voltage will be different for each card. Some of my cards will work at powertune 0, some -10 while undervolted. They all use slightly different voltages, but I found 1.100 works the best. One of my cards I can't undervolt at all or it crashes.

For n-scrypt, I have better hash rates with Vertcoin-CGMinerAleksNR3 instead of the vertcoin miner. NR3 is a modified CGminer for n-scrypt. I can't find the link anymore for that one.

For regular scrypt, I get better hash rates with Kalroth's modified cgminer at k-dev.net/cgminer/

on my sapphire 280's engineclock 1050 I get 250 khs, if i go to 1000 I get 360. It's touchy like that.

Thanks to all in this post.

I did the memory at 1500 and had the clock at 1080 was getting about 270 kh/s. Changed the clock to 1000 and left the memory at 1500 and it shot up to 320 kh/s. I'll take it and be happy.

I also have my 7850's up to 160 kh/s. And the 750ti's are pushing 150 kh/s.

This is my first coin with this kind of scrypt so it took awhile and reading to get them there but they are all almost half of regular scrypt which they should be.

So now I am off to sleep and hope I wake up with much coins. Thanks to you all.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

2600 blocks was a bit extreme :/ So much wasted hashes.

Well you don't actually need to hash this thing now.. it'll advance with just 1 cpu mining it... I'm not mining it right now.

If some one have R9 270 OC and want to share settings with me I would be very grateful. I get 153 Kh/s with -I 12, i have to tell that i bought this card 3 days ago and my old PSU push out onlu 350W, these cards need at least 500W maybe this is the problem? the new PSU(850w) arrive these days.Thanks

After witnessing many launches, I think what GPU coin did is a great call. It gives them the chance to catch any fuck up (to be honest) but its smooth sailing thus far. I think this coin is going to rape.

Just watch your HW errors. My 280x only gets 150.
