I have managed to mine 3 blocks, but tons of false proof of work.

The 90% stales are only to be expected, but the 70% orphan blocks are worse. Sad

400 LTC, lucky you.  I'm like 10% of the current hash power, but getting nothing but stales and orphans.  100 LTC mined though...

Wow... you're unlucky Sad
I've got a measly single 2600k lol
edit: 450 LTC

If y'all're on linux and aren't using the compile flags I listed in the TBX threads, you're missing out!
On my 2600k at 4.2ghz or so:

Standard client mining: 13kh/s
Standard CPUminer mining: 13.2kh/s
CPUMiner with flags: 18.7kh/s

Feel free to tip me for the tip:  LbFanyuYHQnaqFC9N2vPAG5XH3sVo3ab6o

(800 LTC so far)

I compiled the latest source, downloaded litecoin.conf and put it in ~/.litecoin.  I'm stuck at downloading block 119.  This seems to be related to the lockin... anyone know what is going on?

shit! that's my fault. please use the old binary:

32bit and windows are holding you back, I suspect your ram may be as well, though less than the 32bit windows aspect.
Ram wise I'm at 2200-7-10-7-1t.

Getting lots of generated blocks but nearly all are orphans.  Hoping this improves once we have a retarget and are at about a block every 4 seconds vs a block a second or so...

Could someone send me a Litecent or something as a test?

LWydKD9DzqxjbroEwksGYLnfZJeQJa9KFt

I'm having problems connecting properly.
Also, all the scripts I prepared and tested turned out meaningless, I woke at 3:40 GMT +2 to find my computer has rebooted for some reason (Windows update?)

To speed up your test donation (just kidding), added Litecoin to Bitcoin Pie.
When there's an exchange pm me and I'll add that too.

Please do not pm me, use ron@bitcoin.org.il instead

Could run that EXE under wine...

Does this explain the massive amount of orphans?

Sorry guys. I locked in a block that was later orphaned. D'oh!
It's too chaotic.

I've checked in the fix with the right hash. If you compile from source, please grab latest and recompile.
Windows client and daemon coming very soon.

Yeah that seems to be the case.  I switched out main.cpp to the previous commit and it worked.

Damn, it's 4:17 and I'm still not mining Sad

After I got around "Can't connect to RPC host" problem ... I find out litecoin was listening on port 9333 instead of 9332 for some reason, now I'm seeing this problem:

Quote
C:\Program Files (x86)\Litecoin\litecoin-windows-miner-10-10-2011>minerd.exe --algo scrypt --s 6 --t
hreads 8 --url http://127.0.0.1:9333 --userpass miner:litecoin
[2011-10-13 06:16:29] 8 miner threads started, using SHA256 'scrypt' algorithm.
[2011-10-13 06:17:23] HTTP request failed: Empty reply from server
[2011-10-13 06:17:23] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

Any quick fixes? I want to mine...
I'm using litecoin-windows-client-10-11-2011

Just did a git pull and already up-to-date.  Whee?  Is commit 9f890ac7cd04ec083f5300a024a63b7a76491142 what we should be running?
