Anyone want to buy 2000 LTC @ 0.01 BTC each?
I'll grab them all at 0.008 a piece. Sorry if that doesn't interest you.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Less than 12h after launch, LiteCoin is already ahead of Tenebrix in term of network hashrate.

Let's compromise.  0.009.  In fact, I'll just throw all of it in.  2300 LTC @ 0.009 BTC each, deal?
This is a great deal, man.  Even TBX went up to 0.016 at one point.

Given the interest in the coin, I do believe you have a very good bargain, who knows maybe it can reach 1 decimal place of BTC.

1 decimal place?  Grin
I've changed my mind... I'll wait until the exchange comes up.  People here are way too bullish for me to sell it this quickly.  In fact, I might just hold it for a few months.

talking of which, is there going to be new exchange or are we looking at implementation into an existing one?

I suspect btc-e.com will adopt BTC/LTC trading within a day or so.

If anyone's willing to buy at 0.03 BTC/LTC, I will still trade.
Otherwise, I'll wait for the exchange.

It seems that btc-e is extremely fast except for Fairbrix, all the rest of the alternative currencies seem to be there.

Some times mining minerd with bat file, won't show yay, but will generate coin?
I mined some 5 hours before for about 10-20 minutes, got nothing, so closed. Now after reading all the posts downloaded new client & started it & its shows 3 transactions & 50 coins as mined.

Homer: This year I invested in pumpkin futures. They've been going up the whole month of October. And I got a feeling they're gonna peak right around January. Then, Bang! That's when I'll cash in.

I only got one legitimate block so far.

I'm gonna stop mining until there is a pool/exchange... electricity aint free.

2 Noob questions. 1st, The config file. How do I set or discover  'rpcuser' and 'rpcpassword' as shown in the sample below. I want the GUI/wallet to mine for me so I'll uncomment 'gen=1' but it seems to still do nothing.

Sample litecoin.conf file from the main post:
Code:
server=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password

#Uncomment this if you want to have the client mine for you.
#gen=1

#Change this if you want to use a different rpc port for mining
#rpcport=9332

#Only uncomment this if you are running litecoind (not Litecoin QT)
#daemon=1

Second, non of the wallet buttons do anything on my machine. Can't push send, receive, address book, etc. But it did download all the blocks and keep updating them just fine.
Thanks for any help.

pools are great for constant returns,  but it feels so nice to get whole blocks. I'm mining on 3 threads at 1kh/s and my third block took 5 hours, 4th took 17minutes, gotta love probability.

That said, +1, a pool is going to be needed very soon.
