Would be nice to see you imploment Dagger-hashimot algo on this if you are taking on ideas and still making changes and supporting other algos. As you already have many currently would be nice if you guys supported dagger-hashimot Smiley

It's a nice idea but is it possible to use the Ethereum hashing algo for the PoW of a Bitcoin-based coin, and do merge mining with Eth? If we couldn't do merge-mining, our hash rate would be so low that I think it would actually weaken MYR security.

I think the Myriad community will always be open to new ideas about PoW, but right at this time I can't think of anything better than what we have. Blake is nice too, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble to add. 8bitcoder did mention on Reddit that he's been investigating Decred's hybrid PoW/PoS as a possibility. Before the Myriad community decided to swap Qubit for Yescrypt for the next hard fork, there was a lot of discussion for many months, as you can see on reddit.com/r/myriadcoin.

Feeling so good right now. Digibyte is investors must be pissed off. Then again Jared will copy us again and claim the update as his own.

Digibyte also stuck on pre 0.10 code base and myriad on 0.11 . Weve have the better devs.

Short term pump is short term pump. Your price is gonna die after the hard fork. Digibyte remains constantly over 2 million.

Not pissed off at all, very happy to see some action for this coin and hope it continues.
However, I wouldn't miss you at all, I find you very short sighted, a lot gobby and usually just plain wrong.
To the rest of MYR community, my very best wishes.

Lets come over here and FUD Myriad and be mature woo!

Myr having a sick pump, false pumps must make coins more betterer!

buy buy buy!

The more buys the better, new wave of haters when they're burned.

To point out that Myr and DGB are so very different even in goals, it has me wandering if the founders fell out a long time ago, anyone know? I got a hunch I know which one's the tosser. Smiley

Any holders seeing the +300 on polo, you'd be thick not to sell right now.

To hodlers, hopefully the FUD will make the insiders spend more cash to pump more for spite! So be ready to dump! Cheesy

P.S Calling a spite pump here so please more FUD. I got in at 50 for the sake of it so FUD spite truth glory, zero shits bring it on boiler room.

Well, multi-algo is a big deal, to me.

Myriad is secured by Bitcoin and Litecoin merge mining, yet BTC or LTC pools can't attack our network, because they only get a share each of 20% of blocks. At the same time, people can still mine Myriad on their GPUs, and with the next hardfork, Myriad will be once again open to CPUs like it was when it launched.

The idea is we let as many people as possible mine Myriad. It doesn't matter what kind of mining hardware you have. The result is that more diverse people will mine Myriad. It makes the network stronger than other altcoins.

Sometimes one algo has problems. For example, Qubit right now is unreliable at finding blocks. If you pay attention in cryptocurrencies, you notice that every algo has problems at times, whether because of secret new optimised kernels, or new FPGAs/ASICs.  But with multi-algo, we never get a stuck chain. If Qubit is taking too long to find blocks, the other algos are still running as normal. Myriad is very reliable. You always have a new block every minute, or at most every few minutes.

You can watch some network stats to get a clearer idea of what I'm talking about:
http://myriad.nutty.one
https://cryptap.us/myr/myrstat

Presently, Myriad is the most advanced multi-algo coin in terms of development, so whether or not this is a good ol' fashioned pump 'n' dump, I believe Myriad deserves a high market cap.

Yea, it's crazy, all kinds of stuff pumping hard on polo. Still, as a big supporter myriad I bet you'll have a chance to buy back under 50 sat; I hope not, but I realistically expect some major reversal.

Myriad 0.11.3.1

This release introduces Yescrypt mining, changes the Myriad ticker to XMY and activates BIP65/BIP66.

1. Disables Qubit and enables Yescrypt mining.
Activates after block 1764000 (estimated early Aug) when 750 of 1000 blocks mined using 0.11.3. (Testnet block 300)
Forks from 0.11.2 clients.

2. Myriad ticker change
Changes from MYR to XMY to avoid confusion with Malaysian Ringgit.

3. BIP65/BIP66 activation
Activates when 750 of last 1000 blocks are mined using 0.11.3. (Testnet 51 of 100 blocks)
Forks from 0.9.x clients.

If you are currently running v0.9.x it is recommended to update immediately as there could be a hard-fork for v0.9.x versions at any time.
If you are running v0.11.x you should update before August.

You are buddy... a pain for these 2 communities.
I feel sorry for MYR development team. They're working on their coin and you're just FUDing and trolling. Just hope you are one of the victims of recent pump work.

Investors are sitting safe on their bags.

Still. Nice to see MYR updates. DGB team have always been thankful to it as far as I can see.

Keeping an eye on this coin. Good luck guys.

Stop these Hype money, get in DGB!

design concept for Myriad Website http://etherdesign.io/myriadcoin.pdf

Looks great, EtherDesign. Is it easy to integrate with all the translations that exist for the current website? Is the mockup/design concept like ready to deploy?
