It is interesting that Scypt, SHA256D, Qubit, Skein or Groestl Block time: 2.5 minutes per algorithm (30 second average over 5 algos)

Is stablehash down now?
I've not had any coins from them for 12 hours and I usually get a transaction every hour or so, there's a statement on the pool, but it is old and there's no sign of improvement.
Anyway, I cam back here to find another pool only to find dead links again. This needs sorting.
I am now off to point my miners at another coin until things get resolved, as I imagine others are too.

Hi guys, I am trying to mine MYR-K but nothing seems to work I use that line in my .bat file : cgminer -k skein -o stratum+tcp://xxx.xxxpool.xx:xxxx -u xx -p xx -I 10 -g 1 -w 256 Is there anything wrong with it ? My cgminer starts and seems to be connected to the pool, my graphic cards are at 100% load but I don't get any accepted (even after waiting 15 minutes on my 2 R9 290X). Do I need to wait a very long time to get accepteds ? (on MYR-G AND MYR-Q I get accepteds after a few seconds). What's wrong in my .bat ? Use reorders cgminer start is --skein not -k skein haha it worked ! thanks a lot !!! Not for me cgminer --skein ... 0 A`s Can you post your full config and the error/problem your getting?

Looking to buy a few BTC worth of MYR at a fair price. Posting here as it's hard to buy this size order off an exchange. Will be using a trusted escrow for the transaction. Please PM me to work out a deal

Why ? If you wanne buy place your buy wall and set a sign for everybody. This is what the coin needs. Ppl willing to buy the coin. Everybody who shouts for bigger xchanges because of volume just wants to dump.

dumps come from rumors that China Gov will shut down exchanges.
That is the bane of current down spiral.
If it is confirmed, all alt coins will suffer.
Any idea of the likelihood of that? Would the exchange operators be able to operate offshore through different servers? And buyers and sellers as well? I know it might be a PIA, but I don't think governments will be able to stop crypto, at least not in the long term. Although the US is making it a PIA through tax consequences. At least they think. Any good accountant or tax lawyer (like me) can turn mining into a loss pretty quick. Personally, I'm just not going to use US exchanges if they are required to start reporting to the IRS. I'm personally not going through the hassle of setting up a business just for tax purposes. Although the losses my help my overall tax situation. I'll have to think about that one. The self-employment taxes might not make it worthwhile. What would make sense is a large group of individuals getting together and forming a mining corporation. Profits would be based on user input, deductions would be great, and no self-employment taxes. The only taxes would be capital gains, either short term (less than one year), or long term (more than one year). Either rate has far less tax consequences than normal income (e.g. employment). The deductions from equipment and electricity costs could be used to create quite a loss for the first year (on paper), then that loss could be carried forward to offset earnings from the next year. The IRS basically just created a lot of work for accountants and lawyers, while gaining no income, except from people who are unfamiliar with proper tax avoidance business formation. Which is probably most miners, unfortunately.

For what it's worth, Poloniex definitely has the largest volume right now. 10+BTC in buy orders at the time of this writing.

Also, goddamn pool problems again? Man, I can't get a break while I'm on vacation! First cryptopools.eu, now stablehash. Need to remote control the miners back home again. Nut2Pools, 3rd times the charm?
Ugh.

So, I think we should make a page on the Myriad website where we are tracking other hashing algorithms that exist but aren't included in Myriad at the moment. We can list which coins use those algorithms and monitor how popular they are (i.e. combined net hashrates of each coin ).
Then, we should list the current algos on Myriad and their individual net hashrates and monitor if any of them are becoming less popular (I know foodies's blockexplorer does this already). We can then perhaps make a voting system to switch the least popular Myriad hashing algo with the most popular altcoin hashing algorithm that Myriad currently does not have.
Perhaps we can instill some type of voting system ala exchanges that miners can use to request a new hashing algorithm.

Also, if a new hashing algorithm becomes desirable to add, which of the following is better:
A) Switch the new algo in for the least popular current Myriad algo. (Total algos remain at 5) B) Add the algo without subtracting any other algo (Total algos increases to 6).
