yap. if someone comes to crypto world because of its decentralized technology, we should not compare  value of cryptocurrencies with dollars. Until people stop considering cryptocurrencies as asset for future real value and usage of cryptocurrencies will not be implied.

I think that it is better to store most of your investment portfolio in Bitcoin. Altcoins are too volatile and keeping the entire deposit in them is very dangerous. But when the market develops, you can increase the position and keep 50% in altcoins.

well in the past i could tell but this time it looks like altcoins + bitcoin are at the bottom, its hard to tell now who is going to go higher

As much as I agree with your post, but I believe each investor have his own investment goals.  Some want to hold crypto for the long term, some just want make quick bucks and some might need money for emergency.  

yes, it all depends on each other's needs so in this case, everyone is free to make his choice, if I myself prefer to hold my coins in Bitcoin because I believe that in the next few months prices will rise again so I hope to profit from the situation.

And bitcoin provides more advantages compared with fiat but fiat will provide you with the stabilization while the market getting a huge bearish trend and you can take the advantage from it. But i prefer fiat rather than bitcoin because it can give you a chance to enter the bottom market.

But we need to chage our valuable cryptos for dollars if we want to spend that money, is hard to live only with cryptos now days, and that's because only a small % of business accept bitcoins or altcoins. So, the best move you can do is; change to dollars what you need for spending, and keep in bitcoins what you can hold. That's the wise way to roll. 

right i agree with you. it would be difficult for us to rely solely on crypto to meet our needs. because only in countries that legalize crypto can sell goods or services with bitcoin. we need dollars to be able to buy necessities. so when we don't need dollars, then exchange altcoin with bitcoin then save it. when bitcoin rises, we will make a profit. but if we want to shop then we have to exchange altcoins into dollars.

Up until today, i still prefer to exchange my coins into either Ethereum or Bitcoin.
I've never exchange them into Dollars. I believe it could generate more profit when we change it into Bitcoin or ethereum.

If bitcoin can be spent similar as to how usd is spent, then I'll definitely just keep btc.
But since btc is not easily spendable yet, will still keep usd.

For me it is always depends on what we need, crypto is an digital currency that we been used for our online transactions and it can also exchange into a regular money. I also converted some of my altcoins into eth or btc and when I need cash I can also easily get it by the help of my btc.

Mate, your question is way too general. Nit all altcoins are the same.

If you have sh*t altcoins, then yes, you might want to exchange them into fiat or btc while they still worth something.

If you have good altcoins you might want to keep them as some of them will have a better increase than btc during bullish market.

altcoin is the same as bitcoin, if the two tokens improve automatically the exchange rate to the dollar will be good too..
therefore I prefer to exchange altcoins with dollars, because it's already at a safe point..

For me its better to exchange my Altcoin into Bitcoin because there's possibility my coin grow even more and there is a chance that can get huge profit. While exchange it in dollar can give immediately money but exchange it in Bitcoin is the best thing to do especially the value of crypto is higher, but if not then its better to hold it and wait for the rising.

It's all about bitcoin,  the reason cryptocurrency enthusiast trade is to increase their stash of bitcoin.  If all I needed was a fiat,  there is no point been here since I could earn fiat else where but bitcoin is earned in cryptocurrency market and community!

It depend from a personal want to keep it where but for my own prefer to btc or altcoin. The main reason ? because cryp to has a good movement of price which is quite high from year to year. And this could be a major factor why many people prefer rypto to save their assets.
