To my understanding, KYC simply means "Know your customer". Investors(customers) who participate in ICO are made to go through KYC process before they are even allowed to purchase their tokens. On the other hand, Bounty hunters are just "part time workers" of the project and not customers. Even if they will be made to go through a KYC process, it should be before they start working and not after. Waiting for them to finish working for the project and refusing to pay them because they failed to pass KYC afterwards is a total cheat.
I believe that kis is much better to make the bounty much cleaner from bots , as it is unlikely that people will be able to pass kyc if they have a lot of accounts

Our data is honestly more important than thousands dollars.

I really agree with your understanding, For me KYC is only done for investors, there is no need for a bounty hunter because it is not important Bounty hunters only promote a project, why should it be KYC?

I have never done KYC myself for mulitpy reasons but not because I could not do it. I would consider using something like Civic KYC service, though not many crypto start ups use Civic for KYC. I mean if you have not seen the Civic beer vending machine, you should look it up lol.

As far as my experience is in following the bounty, I see a project that requires submit KYC or not. So, I knew from the beginning which projects were asking for KYC which wasn't. So from the start, we can choose which projects we want to follow, if indeed we don't want to take part in the ICO project that asks for KYC. If there is a project that changes the rules after we work, then it is indeed cheating. But thankfully I have never found an ICO like that.

Not always. Change is real due to some valid reason that makes the project more careful to distribute their tokens into unreal persons. In some cases KYC is good to implement in order to block the scammers to participate in their project. In other hands yes, it is used to cheat the hunters because the project is potential and sure to moon. There are a lots of things to be considered with regards to KYC process.

The main idea of the KYC procedure is to exclude the participation of fraudsters and multi-accounts. Fraudsters and deceivers are not only among investors, but also among bounty hunters Maybe I understand this procedure for them, but can they maintain the identity of all those who have carried out the KYC process, because for now many people are making ways to commit crimes in any way for their own benefit.

KYC would have been better but God knows what could happen of you drop your identity to unknown source ,I guess people are just scared of revealing identity to claim tokens and coons ,feels wrong to me too

Completely agree with most of the people. I don't think there would be any problem in major jurisdictions about not having KYC for bounty

Sometime I receided good award after KYC. But it was before summer of 2018, so not always KYC is for cheating. Anyway now bear market and everything looks bad

I think KYC is not entirely a bad idea if it is done the right way. Most hunters have been cheating with multiple accounts and I think that is the main reason KYC was introduced into bounty campaigns. But it would be best if they are made aware of it before the start of the campaign.

Maybe! I believe that having a KYC is just simply to get a secure database to their platform with their participants but still I don't like those projects that required the bounty hunters to provide their personal informations when the campaign ends it makes us uncomfortable in giving our identity because sometimes they don't accept some I.D that we show to their KYC form and the time.

How come? I don't think that is the way how they cheat bounty hunters, maybe I guess they need to verify people to ensure no one is duplicating or using alts in order to cheat them.

Everyday the teams find comes with new excuses for not paying total bounty pool. Also let's dont forget those who stick to the plan which promised before ICO. I hope KYC&AML is not applied for a dark reasons because real investors also suffer from this decisions.

Not entirely KYC is just like that, and that is when the market is at its peak. You can now see very few bounty hunters asking for KYC right to receive rewards. Only ICO require participants to pass KYC to purchase their token

Let me just clear one thing, they only do this because they have a law to abide on the investors, but on the bounty hunters, I think it was unnecessary, because the bounty hunters are not a investor, but a employee on the bounty section of their ico.

Usually, before the program starts, the manager of the bounty must inform whether the hunter needs to perform KYC or not?. If notified in advance of the process, we have the right to choose whether to join the program or not. But sometimes some programs require hunters to pass kyc, although they didn't initially require it. I saw that action only to reduce the reward, which they had to pay for the hunters

But I saw more bounty asking KYC than before, In 2017 I didn't see any bounty asking KYC to receive the reward, but in 2018 most of them asked for it, KYC to join their ICO is right but not really necessary for bounty

Yeah i already have that experience and it totally frustating. I never like KYC for bounty hunters becuase i doesnt make any sense. We as bounty hunter just promote their project & they chang the rules. I failed once KYC i already wait almost 6 months for my reward. Now my reward is gone forever
