Of truth if there was no information as to whether kyc will be required for bounty hunters from the outset, then it is a way of cheating bounty hunters. If this information has been properly disclosed, then it is the choice of the bounty hunters to participate or not.

In most cases, KYC is really a hoax, since most developers implement it at the end of the bounty company, it's very unfair!

Privacy and anonymity is one thing crypto enthusiasts cherish so much and any attempt to compromise it seems like a threat. There are many other projects who give out bounty rewards to bounty participants without asking them to go through KYC so why can't every other projects do same. Its just elimination by rough tactics

I have participated in bounties that I didn't get my rewards all because I couldn't pass KYC. I felt so bad for working so hard for a long time and I got rejected because of some documents. I never want to participate in a project that requires KYC...I don't want to be cheated anymore.

This is really a big problem. Sometimes it becomes very difficult as to whom to blame and whom not to. The bounty managers will tell you the bounty rules are subject to change at any point in time. To me, I wish project managers should make it clear to bounty managers at the start of the bounty so as to prevent those who cannot pass KYC to stay away from that specific bounty. Most bounty hunters don't have what it takes to pass kyc so allowing them to promote your project before announcing KYC is a total cheat.

No, KYC isn't something to cheat with bounty hunters, it is a method to verify users and sometimes people have to provide their documents in order to get tokens and so on

I believe KYC is to stop bounty abusers. As a bounty hunter we can create many accounts to take advantage of the reward. That is why KYC are being implemented. But i dunno that is just my opinion.
But this cannot be the real reason since they were asking the KYC after the completion of campaign means they simply want to cut of the rewards to their participants.
They've wanted to make sure that the participants are not abusing the bounties, if the project do have future success  implementing kyc procedures will give them enough reason to pay those who helped them to promote the project letting those bounty hunters to have the portions of their allocated funds.

Agree, developers team must be want to comply with law or regulation. ICOs is like raising fund and every investor who receive token including bounty hunters should be comply with regulation in a country who issue ICO. I think its no problem to pass KYC

As far i know, most bounty manager always announce on their thread about KYC. I dont agree that KYC to cheat bounty hunters because its request from developers team and they must to comply with regulation on their country. If they are from Europe, our data protected with GDPR and i think its good

The main problem of kyc in bounty is the team says about kyc after all work done. It is really cheating. I never go through a campaign which asks kyc.
Hum you are right, this is boring announcement to need pass kyc after bounty finished. Therefore, it is announced before the start of the germinated and bounty. Actually I can say it to my guess that kyc needs to be made only for ICO investors. If there is too much kyc bounty hunter there can not deceive anybody there.

Thats right  . Thats the real reason behind kyc but like the other guy said , some bounties are doing it wrong because they only give notice about the kyc after the campaign has been completed . This is so inapropriate because some bounty users didnt like to do a kyc while others dont have the required id for kyc  . So what do you think will happen to thier efforts ?  Its going to be wasted and the ico owner enjoys free advertisment . Ggwp

Various projects launching ICO are forced to oblige the purchasers of their coins to pass KYC. This is largely due to the fact that ICOs are launched in jurisdictions where KYC is a mandatory process. In this case, not only investors must pass KYC, but also bounty hunters. Legally, they also receive coins, though not for money, but by investing their time in exchange for project coins.

You've got a point on that. That is why I only join to the bounty that does not require KYC or those bounties that will need KYC before starting campaigns. In that way, I am sure that I will get what I supposed to have in the end.

I dont in any way even.like the kyc if a thing as we call this a decentralized , doing kyc should be for certain amount which is outrageous for any one , to prevent fraud and that will be nice for all but a situation where ordinary 5token will need kyc is a shit to me and most especially the bounty hunters aspect who actually do great work in promoting your project and this was not stated at start ,

Saying it from beginning would have prevent the scammers who use multi account but all in the name of who smart most makes the developer say it after so the cheater can work free for them and I dont think kyc is right for bounty hunters .

KYC should be required only if participants agree about the verification progress before he join the bounty campaign and not at the end, when rules suddenly change. That is not a fair proceeding.
I have very worst experienced which problem happened with you. Even i lost 2000$+ just for KYC procedure. Firstly there are no KYC in the bounty rules so that i working hardly but end of the day project team asking KYC than i didn't completed the whole process because it was tricky when. So, also i think KYC need or not it will must be announced when bounty started.

This is another way for obanabas for participants of bounty companies.
because not everyone will do it and it is profitable for the company itself
I have never passed KYC and I am not going to do it

I'm not sure about this. If you mean initial requirements are no KYC, and then this suddenly changes late on, then that's certainly unprofessional, but I think says more about the uncertain regulatory environment and about the lack of professionalism of the team if they're unaware before starting the campaign that KYC might be an issue.

There are instances in the past that a certain bounty does not require KYC at the beginning then suddenly changes the rules requiring participants to follow the KYC, that's very unprofessional and we can call that cheating.

Not everyone who joined the bounty has the required documents to comply, or some just want to retain their privacy.
But now, looks like they have improve as I noticed there are bounty who pretty emphasize by putting "KYC or NO KYC "required.

The idea is very much wise. Many bounty hunters are forced to leave their hard earned tokens due to KYC procedure cryptocurrency project requires. I am not in favour of providing KYC information to others we do not know. And we do not know the project we have provided our KYC information to are legit. On the other hand, the project requiring KYC information must push the procedure before bounty hunters join bounty campaigns.

I also think like this, kyc is just a way to prevent to give the rewards to the bounty hunters immediately. Because as of my experienced, some bounty campaigns doesn't said that kyc is required for receiving their rewards, they just say kyc would be required in the times when it is time for rewards distribution.

Well I am against the KYC being asked for bounty and I think this has become an excuse for project to delay payments as much as possible. Also at certain times they specifically disallow payments because they didn't verified their document properly.

I think better solution for bounty hunters would be to ask the project/bounty manager whether they would require to go through KYC or not at the starting of the campaign. That way you can choose to participate or not.
