I watch the charts and sympathize with those who bought up to this point, their faith in the project goes straight down.
But let's see, maybe those who buy today, will be able to return their investments at least 2020 or 2021, otherwise why buy...

I bought a big load between 5 and 10 sats, and my faith in the team and project is not going down at all 

My faith in crypto communities has already been down to the cave for long, so this doesn't change 

The Dev has been generously distributing lots of free coins during the the discord birthday party, people are expressing their gratitude by dumping their gifts. That's what you can do expect from such a nice gesture nowadays... I guess QL won't be caught doing this anymore!

I think it is a good time to mine. Maybe people will lose interest because of the price and stop mining. Then we can all mine at a lower difficulty. Before the halving too.
I am not ure how you can say "easily" and 10x is a lot but I think you might be right. Maybe I will match whatever I mine and buy that much more from the exchange.

My '10 x easy' are coming from a price around 1 sat... Upx has already seen 10 sats and even a bit more, doesn't seem like an unlikely place to go again. And that's without everything that's coming. So yeah, I'm not a frigging financial advisor but I'm holding to my claim

Its interesting to see the "WHY BUY?" question...

Im buying to start a node because nodes means more UPX for meee and i see a future where there are Uplexa Dapps maybe mobile games, not some tron casino shit but deeper integration into IoT software, I imagine a project like Uplexa can farm computing power and deliver it to IoT devices (imagine crunching numbers on the cloud via your note 8 phone and you pay for the computational power using UPX, maybe even cloud rendering or google stadia type shit)

Im buying in case there is a community and dapps being built I can support the projects I like within the Uplexa eco system, but that wont happen till community steps up or the price hikes so the big boys notice uplexa...

However, if we follow the crypto logic: "when everybody sells, you buy, when everybody buys, you sell".
Then it turns out that it is the best time to accumulate coins.
Even without the FOMO, buying when everybody sells seems like a the best course of action.

buy when everybody sells can be a right thing if you are a trader, i am only a passionate and i will try to look forward, 5/10 years... at today invest 50-100usd is nothing, my strategi is accumulate and hold... see only if my gain will change my life.

Lets not forget that while everybody talks about "people who sell low", there are lots of people who...are buying those coins!

Some are getting lucky... It's a long term battle guys, don't forget about that!

What is extremely reassuring, is that the Team doesn't see to give a rat's ass about the price movements... it clearly shows that they're not in for the money, so they're not about the give up, whatever the price action does

Somebody was asking about pricing on Discord and what I think about the current valuation. If anybody else is wondering, here is my answer:

Would I like to see a fair evaluation of our project? Absolutely. But I am not dependent on this. If I were to be dependent on our price, our project would cease to exist.
I do plan on eventually being rewarded for my hard fork, considering I value my time at ~$240/hour and am not just investing time, but also money into this project.
However, my main intentions is creating software and services that we very much need in this world. To create awareness of privacy based issues
 and to help avoid censorship and supression.

The way I see it, there's one of two options for UPX to really "moon" and stabalize at a fair valuation, which we are extremely extremely far from.
#1) A true alt market kicks off after bitcoin goes parabolic again (but this isn't consistent)
#2) To create an internal economy by bringing users in to buy and UTILIZE (huge emphasis on utilize) UPX for unique, original, or viable purposes.
This would be like having apps on our services that require UPX to use (UNApps anyone?).

If you take a look at MANA and DICE, you can see their price movements are completely independent of the typical alt market.
This is because they have a solid use case that is explored by those who are not just speculative traders.

It's my opinion that the first option is a huge gamble, and not worth the risk if that is why people are buying. It's our job as a community to show what blockchain can do, not to just invest and "hodl". Unfortunately, that mentality is extremely harmful to both the technologies and peoples involved within this industry.

to me it's clear that this team will do everything in it's power to succeed, and bring blockchain and uPLexa to the masses.

exactly! considering that the price couldn't easily get lower, and the ATH was over 20 sats (second peak over 10 sats) and those were not linked to BTC pumps...
Buying at this level gives no guarantee for a 10x or 20x, but...it definitely gives you some fair odds! A very cheap, and low-risk lottery ticket, I'd say

With current market conditions it is indeed a cheap lottery ticket. Techwise the project will just continue along it's path, and adjusting to new idea's and circumstances. A path along which there are many hurdles. Right now the team has taken a lot of hurdles already very succesfully. I have a lot of faith in the project.
With the Utility Nodes coming up: what exactly is it's purpose for the decentralisation of the project? Will the nodes owners have some sort of (extra) voting power on future developments, or is there no connection?
