Sampey...a question on this option....even with it enabled, is there a still check in place to not place a trade where Sell < Buy ?

Yes, the only thing that is not "checked" is the % Current Market Condition (but you will get a message like % Market is 0.XX instead of % Gain You Set)
Conditions like "Never sell under" etc are checked.

Juste a question : Is there a way to leave the "capital" in altcoin and receive the gain in BTC ?

I mean for example :

You have 100 000 DOGE initially. You don't want more DOGE, you just want to use CAT because this market is sideways.
Can you limit your "capital" with 100 000 DOGE ? It means total Pong orders don't excess 100 000 DOGE, and BTC are not "reinvested" to buy 102 000 DOGE cheaper and gains made just stay and accumulate in BTC.

Hey guys, been with this program for 4 versions now. I am making small amounts but still haven't paid it off, mostly because I lost money from my own mistakes.

There IS a learning curve. It does need to be checked on. This is not mining. This is not a good place to start if you have never traded before. You should go read babypips.com, all of it preferably, then maybe make a few trades before purchasing CAT.

That having been said CAT is a VERY stable program, never had one crash. Sampey has worked very hard when cryptsy changes API (breaking all bots) and usually I have a new version in my inbox by the time I check to see that the bot has stopped.


All in all I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend   If you're an experienced trader you'll likely do really well with it, I'm a total beginner and doing better already

I did not really mean a "Reinvest XX%" but a "hard cap" or a total belonging not to excess. In my latter example, using CAT currently with 2% gain, leads to :
Start with Sell 100 000 DOGE, then 102 000, then 104 040, etc.
What I'd like is gains are only in BTC, it means 100 000 DOGE max and X BTC made.

CAT won't re-buy more than 100 000.

The reason is to earn interests on your "stored coins" :
I am keeping like 20 coins, "in case of" the next rise/bump arrives or something special happens (takeover, hardfork...), let's say like Goldcoin, paycoin, netcoin, sexcoin...I don't want more of these coins, I have enough.  What I'd like is that these stored coins work for me when sleeping and makes money as long the market is sideways. I can sell the gains manually every 2-3 days but it is always better and quicker if it is automatic !

@andycee, Yes, in the end the only thing that has ever mattered to me was "Total commutative gain". Of course.

Speaking of which:

Sampey, would you please make the 'Statistic' tab/button data persistent no matter if you shut down c.a.t. and enable importing this data after upgrades? (why are the fees included in this data but not the commutative gains of all markets?)

Anyways, for example, with metatrader 4, you ALWAYS know your profit/loss and deposits and withdrawals through the life of your account no matter how many times you shutdown or upgrade. I know thats because that data is stored on the brokers server, but there is more than one way for this data to be aggregated locally with c.a.t.

Its sometimes depressing not having real-time access to total gains, etc. for the past 90 days unless I go back and calculate the exported data myself, or import all of my exported files it into excel.

I Have found a round problems on markets where there's only 1 Satoshi difference (Like DOGE).
It was very hard to find because on markets with more than 1 satosih difference between best Buy/Sell Price, this rounding problems is "invisible".

So, there's only 1 thing i can do : Replace all Double Variables with BigDecimal variables

This will take me away a lot of time, but i will try to complete for the Weekend  (And send of Course C.A.T. 1.2 with some other changes)

Hi Guys!! It seems that Crypsty open the USD Market! I have check C.A.T. and is able to recognize it (anche create his dedicate tab) in dynamic mode

I've been unable to access cryptsy with browser or CAT for the last 8 hours.. Am assuming it has something to do with the USD stuff.  Either that or cryptsy has blocked Canadian IP addresses.

Sampey, while you are looking at precision/rounding issues, did you know that there is an issue which leaves 'unused' coins in the balance ? I'll try to explain....

Nice and simple...only one market active and always create pong selected. If I run a Ping Buy on my whole BTC balance, everything works fine. Checking my balances over time, all BTC and all coins are always being traded in orders.

However, if I do the same but starting with a Ping SELL on ALL coins in 1 market, over time I am left with a small unused balance of coins that are not active in any orders. Its not a great problem, as I just add them back in as new Ping Sell orders, however, some calculation is not 100% correct somewhere.

I'm quite happy with the performance of C.A.T so far, ive made 1,25btcs in the last few weeks. i must admit in the beginning it took me some days to analyze how the program worked but after finally understanding the program and after deep market studies and although markets where devaluating i managed to make profit.

The thing is that i work 10h in an office and my boss sits behind me. Ive been playing with cat when he was not looking but this fact has been stressing me out these days as i could have been caught and i dont want to risk my job. My conclussion after this weeks is that i have no time for playing with C.A.T and i'm thinking of selling it.

After selling it ill give the new owners nickname to Sampey so that he can send him the new versions from then on.

Hi C.A.T. users.
Hard week for me 
So, i'm not sure to release C.A.T. 1.2 in the next 48 hours. I'm running a system test but i have changed (most of it is a reorganization process, like the new API library) a lot of code, so i don't want to risk to give a new version with a problem inside.

After the system Test i will prepare a new 1.2 Version for C.A.T. users who want to try.
