I think Bitcoin, Since it has potential on increasing the value but in the other way hard to mine.
yes I think bitcoin profitable investment. but bitcoin is not too good for long term investment. Gold is very hard to get and bitcoin is much more easier to get and it is going to be a better investment at all. But you must be focus on it so that you are going to have good profit out of it. And after that for sure it is going to be a good career for all of us. |

Since majority of people here doesn't have the ability to acquire gold then it's obvious they will go for bitcoin as an investment. |

Well for sure gold has a good demand and supply market making it a good investment, but i believe bitcoin has much more potencial to get and achieve higger values over the time, soo for profit i would choose bitcoins, has it has made already 200% its value something gold wont be doing.

Well, in theory bitcoins have some advantages over standard gold. I will try to name some of them.
Unlike gold, bitcoins are:
1. Easy to transfer (worldwide transfers in seconds!)
2. Easy to secure (you don't have to build a safe to store bitcoin!)
3. Easy to verify (you don't need to be a goldsmith!)
4. Easy to granulate (how are you going to divide your gold ring?)
Pros of Gold:
1. Central banks hold some gold amount to make its price less volatile.
2. Gold gets rarer everyday and so it's price will be rising.
3. Gold is known to many people unlike BTC. It can also be sold unlike BTC

I think that Bitcoin is not as secure as you claim it to be. Indeed, you don't need to build a safe to store bitcoins, but is creating an offline wallet (an analogy to a gold vault) less difficult (read impossible) for the average Joe? Since only an offline wallet can give you (a feeling of) true security |

That's no problem for you if you can afford to invest with gold and if your goal will be meet when investing in it. However, most of the investors are want some action on their investment and they want to investment in different investments and only bitcoin can do that for them. |

Gold 30 days - UP 4.35%
Gold 6 months - UP 20.59%
That's not bad at all if you ask me.
Silver isn't the main subject of this thread, but here the silver movements just to compare:
Silver 30 days - UP 13.59%
Silver 6 months - UP 39.98%
Silver usually follows gold (unless being manipulated in "solo" mode) while gold itself has strong negative correlation with USDX. Now when USDX seems to be on the rise, we could expect gold to decline somewhat in value... Provided the US dollar continues its rally, of course (which is mostly due to Brexit and the hype thereof) |
