I think that although gold might have some more proven track record than bitcoin, it won't outperform BTC in the short term in my opinion. Bitcoin is virtual while gold is not.

I prefer bitcoin because it is more portable.

Also the same with bitcoin, it won't outperformed gold. Because like you said bitcoin is virtual and gold is not. Virtual is only taking place in one place and that is online. If no internet, bitcoin is nothing and useless.

Internet is not going anywhere, and so the bitcoin, we don't need to worry about that, bitcoin is future and gold has become history now, better to invest in bitcoin.

I love bitcoin and gold, they are both good investments, the only downside is that the bitcoin is unpredictable but profitable on both term and the gold is secure but it takes a long time to make profit mostly.

Yeah that's true so if you don't want to take any risk with your investments then you should invest in gold and if you love to take risks then bitcoin is too good.

Gold price is also unpredictable. The only notable difference is that Bitcoin is more volatile than Gold. Also, please elaborate on you saying 'Gold is secure'. What you mean by that?

He mean to say that gold is secure in the sense that if you hold it for a long term then you can expect good returns in future but for that you need to hold it for really long time.

Okay, that makes sense. But then again, it depends on how long you are aiming to hold Gold, and at what time you have invested in Gold. If I look at the 5Y Gold chart, then it shows a loss of 15.63%. If I look at the 10Y Gold chart, then it's up 128.30%.

Yeah and if you have faith in innovative technology then you will invest in bitcon and if you still have that traditional mindset then you will invest in gold for sure.

Strictly speaking, gold has by far less chances to seriously decline in price than to grow, so its volatility is "skewed" to the upside. Needless to say that gold price simply can't fall down to zero since it is a tangible asset which has intrinsic value of its own (i.e. it is useful beyond just being a store of value or a means of exchange). While intrinsic value of Bitcoin is next to nothing, and its price could collapse right down to zero...

And the reality of such an outcome is not negligible

Gold has the support of governments that will do everything to prevent it from going below a certain price level, that's the good thing for people using Gold as store of value. Bitcoin doesn't have that. But for the average investor looking to hold Gold as an investment for a few years, the time of investing is crucial, just like Bitcoin. That's what I meant with 'Gold is also unpredictable'.

gold is better than bitcoin if you ask me but we must see the progress too. Gold, the price is always rise every year but it is more stable so if you invest in a long term I guess gold is the best but if you want it in a short term bitcoin is good too because the volatile price we can earn random profit and we can earn more that we can imagine so both of them is good. Just invest in both of them

That's true and we will see more developed bitcoin in future as of now its still in its primary stage but in future it will be the best as a currency and also as an investment.

If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.
The two are quite different, the Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, it's value is unstable, and gold is physical, and it's value is little stable.
So, I think I will choose gold.

Gold will always benefit you in long run, as gold holds maximum number of satisfied customers and people have more faith in gold in compare to bitcoin.

I agree plus the one is usable to pay with a lot more and with the gold you can almost pay not with it.
I think that the bitcoin is better because of this, you can make profit and pay with it..

Bitcoin is decentralized crypto currency so that means it is really not stable in terms of price, but that's the goodness of it. That many opportunity comes with it, like trading and other good opportunities as well. But with gold, it is a passive precious stone with the highest value, but as long as no one will ever going to use it the demand and price is always high unlike bitcoin.

Bitcoin almost always has outpaced gold in terms of profit. It is like the gold of the internet and you can even use them if you want. Good luck trying to buy a giftcard at walmart with a gram of gold LOL
