@RivAngE. Hehehe well it might help in having Grin's price float above the market average if that makes you happy.

In any case, those dumping miners are not to be blamed. They also want Grin to be higher, however they have no choice, they need to get some profit where they can.

Which is why I call the situation of our ecosystem a self-cannibalising one.
Everyone wants some profit, so no one makes a profit. We mostly pay electricity and hardware companies.

Then as the prices go down, more and more people on the outside see cryptocurrencies as a bubble and shops won't start accepting them.
I believe that having shops accept cryptocurrencies is the only way to increase their value in a natural way and not just in a speculative way.
Having GRIN accepted by BTCT is one good step, but I'd prefer to see business which are not related to cryptocurrencies start accepting them, this way people won't have to sell their mined coins to buy fiat... though I suppose in GRIN's case there are a lot selling their coins for BTC because of the inflation difference between the two.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Coin price (or direction) is not the barrier to merchant acceptance.  Quick (atomic) exchange to fiat, and low fees (plus some marketing) are all that are necessary to encourage merchant adoption.  Of course, *some* demand must exist.

@RivAngE. Success cannot be attained overnight. It took bitcoin 10 years to be where it is today, however it has not reached where it was created to be yet. It might take grin longer to reach the same measure of success, I reckon, or it might not.

The topic of Grin coin has been cooled down considerably last two or three weeks.
It is obviously that the prediction of our beloved admin right, at least till now.
The price has been down due to corrections, long term corrections, and the topic has been less actively partially due to recent price's drops and corrections.

this is a newborn project so it cannot be denied that prices will continue to dropping. but if you see privacy coins that have already existed price growth is compared than other crypto categories. Now, I just want to see the future development and how it becomes a nice seamless user experience. because, the unique privacy features contained in the Grin protocol can be useful for everyone who wants it and users are comfortable using it.

FOMO occured in early phase when Grin Coin became hottest topic in crypto and fastly, widely listed on exchanges.
Now, that kind of FOMO feelings gone, the price of GRIN fell.
However, I think it is good news for real investors, they are patiently enough to wait for weeks or even for months to see the coin drops, then set up its bottom.
From bottom range, real investors will decide to pay money for the coin.
Next time, with the tide from coming bottom, Grin coin will gradually grow but stable move and set up its new all time high.

EDIT:
I don't know if there is a specific site that calculates based on the GPU, but what's wrong with typing out the hash rate?

Try https://whattomine.com/

Currently only for Cuckaroo29.

Both grinmint and luxor have calculators comparing C29 and C31

I just dusted off my GPU miner, installed a fresh Windows 10 OS, installed GrinPro miner, and pointed it to GrinMint.  My GPUs are set to stock clocking, no modifications.  How am I doing?  Any config settings you guys can recommend will be much appreciated.

TIA

I tried Grin Gold Miner, but I'm getting much better results with GrinPro.  I'll give BMiner a shot, thanks for the suggestion.

It might be good for you to learn how to use the official command line wallet and learn how to store your grins the proper way.

I reckon many people in the cryptospace felt sorry about not learning Monero's command line wallet when it was under $1.00 hehe.

How many GB in memory each graphic card of your NVIDIA rig has?
I saw minimum requirement of graphic card's memory to mine Grin Coin is 4 GB, but really hope that there subsittive ways to mine the coin with less than 4GB in memory.

2x 1080ti @ 11gb
2x 1080 @ 8gb
2x 1070 @ 8gb.

Virtual memory set to 48gb.

How am I doing?  Any config settings you guys can recommend will be much appreciated.

4.5 gps is terrible for a 1080ti. Should be more in the 7 gps territory with BMiner on a 1080ti.

I just tried using bminer, but couldn't get it running.  I think I screwed up the .bat file script.  Can someone please share their .bat file settings for grinmint?  Are you keeping your password in the .bat file?  Or if you recommend another pool, I'd be happy to hear it.

TIA.

I looked all over the internet for any kind of info regarding GRIN and hardware wallets, but I didn't find anything.
I asked Ledger in their Twitter, let's see if they'll answer me (https://twitter.com/RivAngE/status/1105073085554851841)

And as far as I know, there are still no Windows wallets? I haven't searched it because I don't plan to use any more wallets in my PC, it has to be on Ledger hardware wallet for me to be able to HODL.

A little under $3 but it seems to be holding steady around this price.

With current inflation rate it would be hard task for this coin to stay above on this line even there is big hype about this project but still good for day traders as long term investors will be in trouble when circulating supply will keep increasing like this.

maybe,  because the command line wallet is not user friendly. they use it because it's easy to access and not complicated  Grin
to reach prices the best performance its will take a long time because of high inflation
