@tromp. I reckon they need some feeding or no one would be bumping this thread and increase this project's visibility hehehe. Trolls also give us the opportunity to defend and show everyone what is good about the project.

@Privcy Foundation. Here trolly trolly trolly.

Its not necessarily a bad project, the tech is good but it is a TERRIBLE investment, it will not appreciate anywhere close to what bitcoin did in the early days.

I wil clarify my stance, when I say shitcoin I don't mean a useless coin but I mean a bad investment.

also they really needed to come up with better branding than grin and naming something after a harry potter spell, that just looks like amateur hour.

@tromp. I appears his true intention is exposed hehehe. I will quote it so he cannot delete it.

@Privcy Foundation. It was clearly mentioned in Grin's monetary policy that this is not a cryptocoin for getting rich quick. This is a coin focused on privacy, scalability and fairness.

In 10 years Grin might be more widely distributed than bitcoin in its first 10 years.

I wouldn't trust any web wallet service. Every week people running away with stolen money and coins, and they all said we are safe! But they are just safe as long as they don't have enough money for the final day...

Right now you can mine both, use which pays more. But when ASIC's are available, 31 will be dead for GPU's.

Windows GUI wallet for non-technical guys is highly expected from Grin coin community. Without the Windows GUI wallet, it seems that potential investors hesitate to invest, especially whom are not familiar with technical steps to control their coins inside non GUI wallet for windows. So, I believe that the Grin coin team should build it up as soon as possible if they really want to boost the growth speed of Grin coin.

This is so obvious, that I believe they won't build it intentionally in this phase of coin.

Having GUI wallet for windows or not, at the current period, does not matter. The main reason (in my opinion) is Grin coin has decreased to its very solid foundation of price, and it get good demands in current range around 40000 satoshis. Hence, I believe from that range, Grin coin will solidly recover, but its recovery will take time to fully confirm and finish.

It matters a lot. Where can Average Joe hold Grin? On exchange only. And we all know how bad decision is that. It's in first 3 advices you give someone ("don't keep your coins on exchange")

BTW, even terrible projects, some obvious scams and money-grabs have Windows GUI wallet.
So, the fact that Grin doesn't have it is intentionally for sure. Why? I'm not sure.

Maybe, whales don't want so many people can access easy wallets to use, and catch more intention of investors. Grin coin, basically a very potential good altcoins. Over years, this is the first altcoin theymos have big interests. Additionally, there is no easy way to make a fortune, right. People have to pay a cost if they want to build their own fortune, self-made fortune. Grin coin Windows GUI wallet will appear at the right period, at which the coin will take off.

There are some Grin (GRIN) Mining Calculators on the web. Select the one more profitable.

Yes totally agree with you.
It's not the best idea to keep the coins in exchanges. Not save enough.
And for more investors that newly discover Grin, the first thing they would like to do is to download a wallet.
But I've no idea how hard it takes to develop a GUI wallet, maybe someone could support them together.

Beam is mimble-wimble too and they have wallet, so it's nothing new and too hard. (I guess forking Beam wallet is an option too if someone want to do it)
Yeah, yeah, I know, why don't I build one when it's not hard? Well, because my coding skills are on basic level, so I can just wait, like 99.9% of community.

I think, that in this case it is really worth waiting. it may take a while. but this is important. everything is valuable for a long period of time. and it is worth it. we will wait for such results.

I think that Beam has no premine (not 100% sure). I know for sure that they have some kind of dev tax on mining (20% or something like that).
But never mind, that's not the point. I just pointed out that Win wallet for mimble-wimble already exist, so I guess it's not too hard for skilled programmer to create one for Grin. (and Grin AFAIK have lot of skilled guys in team)
