The pool is under DDoS attack.
The website or the pool? Both. My miner is still working away, are shares being counted?
Yes. If you manage to get through to the server despite the attack, you don't have to worry.

This is probably posted somewhere, but I have a question on if there is a fee for using the manual payout?
No, you are charged no fees for requesting an instant payout. Are you going to open up for new registrations any time soon? I'm really sick and tired of all these crap pools and am in desperate need of a stable one now.
There seems to be a lot of interest in this pool at the moment, but I hope you understand that I can only let in as many miners as the servers can handle. As you can see, I have just upgraded the main server and added a second mining server for US miners, but I still need to apply some changes in the software and network design before I can let a lot of other people in. For now I am accepting applications (via email only please) from miners that would like to join, but I can't promise anything as to when these applications will be reviewed, because I'm working on many projects in this period, including the next release of the Litecoin client. Is it possible to just open a brand new version of your pool and operate it as a completely different entity in order to allow more users. IDK but it seems like you would get a lot of response to that

Repost from https://www.litecoinpool.org/news?id=45: The physical servers where the pool is hosted are going to be taken offline for maintenance Tuesday, May 7th, between 11:00 and 12:00 UTC. Expected downtime is estimated at 45 minutes.
The UK server and the website will also be taken offline Thursday, May 9th, between 11:00 UTC and 12:00 UTC. This will not affect miners using the US server.
If you still haven't configured your miners to failover to one or more other pools and/or to solo mining, you are encouraged to do so now.
By the way, I haven't had much time to work on the pool in the past few days, but I do have plans to let it grow as soon as I'm done implementing a more scalable software solution for the mining backend. I just really want to make sure that reliability and performance are not sacrificed. EDIT: The scheduled maintenance planned for May 9th has been canceled.

A DDoS attack has been affecting the website and some of the miners since 1:15 AM UTC. As usual, if your miners are still hashing you don't have to worry.

What does pool efficiency mean?
Stales & invalid shares. I think.

Stales & invalid shares. I think. Cool. I've been mining happily at 17000Khs on us.litecoinpool.org for a while and enjoying the stability. Stales and invalids are under 1%. The main site has been down a couple times, but my miners were still connected and submitting shares.

Your STRATUM just went down.
The US server had some technical issues; it's back up now. Tip: You can configure cgminer to automatically switch to the european server if the US server goes down for whatever reason. Share accepting but no status update on account.
Everything looks fine to me, please pm me your details if you want me to check your account.
