Sorry about the website downtime. It seems our webservers are under a bit of a DoS attack. We are working on mitigating it, but it may take time.
The good news is that mining is unaffected.

Sounds worrying... how about the payout scheduled, is it affected? Thanks...

Noob here getting started.  Looks like litecoinpool.org is not accepting new pool members at the time. Anyone know if that will change soon or if there is another recommended pool for LTC? I'm a bit leary of Nicehash now for obvious reasons and litecoinpool really looks like best and most stable pool.   Tx!

We have temporarily closed registrations while we upgrade our infrastructure. We do not have an ETA at this time, but you can rest assured that we are working hard to carry this out as quickly as possible.

try cgminer v3.7.2 that's what it took to get gridseeds working on my system win10. Also for each gridseed you should be seeing 2 devices GSD0 and GSD1, 1 for each blade. Hope that helps.

Hello.  I'm a mining noob...scratch that, I'm not even a noob.  I'm looking at getting into LTC mining and would like to join the litecoinpool.  My question is, is it worth getting two Antminer l3+?  The advertised delivery date is approx Mar 2018.  Any advice for a noob looking at getting into LTC mining?  Thanks.

It is hard to say depend on your mining purposes. If you mine to hold then it may worth it but if you mine to get the current value of the LTC then it is very difficult to say by that time what is the price and difficulty of LTC. So nobody will know what we will get in March next year, anything can happen in the future as well.

Thanks for the quick reply.  My choice is to buy an miner online and get it sooner but it will cost $4k....or I can wait until March and get 2 units for the same cost of entry.  I wish I decide to start this venture several months ago.

A L3+ has around 500Mh/s which gives you -- at the current difficulty!! -- 2.4LTC/mo, or, at the current rate of LTC ca 730USD. If nothing changed it would take you 6 months to recoup the costs of one L3+ now (at 4k$ + psu + shipping), or 3 months from march onwards, ending at the same time! Then the choice is easy, you want to go for 2 units in march and end with two units instead of one!! You will be much better off than the 4k unit now.

But of course reality is a lot more complex. The difficulty will drop. One month ago, the difficulty was 1/3rd of what it is now. The earlier in the game, the bigger the rewards. Right now it the difficulty is fairly stable, but once the next batch of L3+ hits the market, it will go up fast. If by March the difficulty is 3x what it is now it suddenly will take 9mo+ to recoup the costs, and if the LTC price has dropped back to 100$ it will take 27mo or over 2 years. By that time the difficulty has gone up so much that you probably will never recoup the costs unless LTC goes to the sky instead of south. And if you will depend so much on LTC going up you MUST consider buying LTC directly. You will benefit much more from short term gains and will be not more exposed on the downward side. You could consider buying 1 L3+ in march and already now buying LTC for 2k$. That would probably be a good hedge. If LTC doubles by march then you have your L3+ for free and get gains from day 1. If not well nothing is lost. If LTC goes south you still have a little value of the LTC holding instead of nothing.

That's my take, but don't follow my advice. Just use it to weight your options and what you really want. Also remember that an L3+ is a making noise, that you need a PSU!!, and that there are shipping costs etc. Also, once it is up an running and the initial excitement wanes off it gets really boring. The machine just runs and that's it. How much shares you get is totally predictable and only cross fingers that the difficulty does not rise too fast and LTC does not go south.  If you have a LTC holding AND a L3+ it is a bit more exciting as you can track one vs the other and see what investment is giving you the best returns as time goes by. If any. Good luck. And be prepared for that it all goes south and you effectively are left with nothing.

Hi, I wanted to see how everything works just for fun and i set up a cpuminer on my Toshiba Laptop. I am averaging .72 KHash/s and am set up on a account on Litecoinpool.org linked to a litecoin wallet and everything. I seem to have done everything right knowing that i would be making next to nothing. even my command prompt looks like im getting the correct results BUT for some reason Litecoin pool is not showing even my tiny results. Everything is zero. Am i doing something wrong? just looking for advice from someone who has been doing this for a while or has done this before. Thanks
