Does anyone find out about Bangladesh Premier League(BPL)? BPL has started today and now I am enjoying the second match of BPL. Dhaka is now batting against Khulna. At the end of 13 overs, Dhaka collected 109 runs. Opener Tamim Iqbal is still unbeaten on 50 off 41 balls. Dhaka will be able to collect at least 60 runs in 7 more overs. If they can give more than 160 targets, maybe Dhaka will be able to win this match.

There is so much cricket these days that it is impossible to watch and keep track of each of the series. I am more interested in the Legends League Cricket 2022 over Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), where you can find all the legends playing. It's nice to see some of our favorite cricketers in action though most of them don't have the same form.

No, some good number of matches are playing around like BBL, bilateral series between South Africa vs India, Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe Afghanistan vs Netherlands U19 CWC, and now we have West Indies vs England, so many peoples are not having enough time to check updates about this league which is already playing at wrong time because sports calendar is really full of Australian Open and currently Soccer leagues are also on very interesting stage so not many are interested in this league which is now going on without any big player due to this all busy schedule. But good thing is, they are having some good local interest, even facing some serious issues with Corona, which is going to have another variant.

People lost interest in BPL mostly because we all remember the last season of BPL and it was kind of horrible to watch as almost no team scoreboard more than 150 and the pitches were really favoring the bowlers.

It didn't matter if any team bowled first law batted first, the scores were really low and it was not enjoyable to watch at all. Even people like me who enjoy watching a good bowling attack and good execution of fielding as well as captaincy, even I felt like ok there was nothing interesting to watch.

It was all about the bowlers bowling in line and length and the pitch did the rest. But I am hoping that this time that want to be the case. At least if it continues.

BANGLADESH PREMIER LEAGUE
The match between Sylhet and Comilla is being held in BPL now. Sylhet's collection 78/7 in 16 overs. We definitely want to see big scores in the franchise tournaments match. It is annoying to see such weak batting.

Sylhet lost all their wickets in 19.1 overs and collected only 96 runs. It was not expected that Sylhet would bat so badly in the first match. In particular, I would say that the condition of the domestic players is very bad. Opener Anamul Haque made 3 runs, playing 9 balls. Mohammad Mithun made 5 runs off 7 balls. And Mosaddek Hossain made 3 runs from 6 balls. All three of the domestic players are experienced players of the team.

Sylhet is not as strong as the team. But today their opponent Comilla's team was very strong. So even after batting a target of only 97 runs, Comilla had to work hard enough to win this match. Originally it was a competitive match. Comilla lost 8 wickets to collect only 97 runs. There are many star players on the Comilla team. Mominul and Imrul are very experienced as local players. Both failed today. du Plessis is a great batsman. He also managed to collect only 2 runs in today's match. If the Comilla team hopes to win the title, the top order will have to be more responsible.

I really doubt that many types of cricket it is going to continue especially after India has their second number of record cases of coronavirus yesterday.
And the coronavirus situation is also on the rise in Bangladesh and almost all the other neighboring countries.

It is true that the situation is not that great as everyone getting tested are positive. Offices started to close and everyone is back to work from home situation and schools are closing once again. So even if there is sporting events it will be under a bubble.

It's hard to imagine players and event the cricket boards to take that risk of continuing cricket tournament under this situation. Even though these types of tournaments bring a lot of money for the boards, players'  safety cannot be compromised under any circumstances.

They might continue the matches under a bubble like they conducted earlier and the Arab countries earlier announced that they wont be shutting down like they did in the past, so the matches can even move to UAE.

ICC has announced T20 WC 2022 schedule. Super 12 will start on October 22 and the most important match of any icc event i.e. Pak vs India will on 24 Oct. India, Pak, SA and BAN are in Group B, while Aus, NZ, Afghan and England are in Group A. There will be two more teams in each group that will come from qualifying round.

So arch rival fixtures are fixed no matter what. Aus vs Eng and especially Ind vs Pak. That's a easy recipe of guaranteed return of interest.

Boring and expected move but hard to blame the poor ICC to follow this route cause revenue does matter.

I can't recall how many leagues are going on right now, this is badly disturbing international cricket. It seems like future lies in these leagues and little room for international cricket.

Fans will watch what channels are broadcasting. The narrative about anything is built by media these days and cricket is not an exception. In international cricket every country has fair chance to prove his capabilities while in franchise you need money to build your team. That's why money rich ipl, bbl are way more popular then lanka, bpl.

Well if the venues are changed and the players are healthy then the matches can continue in my opinion but the risk is always there. And it's a little dumb thing to do where everyone is so cautious about coronavirus and shutting everything down but cricket has to be played.

And then there comes the problem of moving players to another place where the cases are low in numbers but if the players are somehow tested positive after reaching there they can cause health issues for a lot of people including the locals. And also if the country will allow doing that is also a big ask.

The knock-out match between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunders is taking place in the Big Bash League. Adelaide was able to give a target of 185 runs by batting first. Ian Cockbain's remarkable innings of 65 off 38 balls has enabled Adelaide to deliver such a huge target. Sydney collected 57 runs in 7 overs, Sydney lost 2 wickets. They need 127 to win of 78 balls. I think Adelaide will win.

Watching franchise cricket can be fun but we all have to remember that ultimately a national team has to play in the world cup and cricket is still mostly focused on international cricket.
And an international team also needs to play against bigger teams to find out their flaws and place of improvement. That's how they will get better.

I have watched several matches of BPL. All the matches I have seen so far have been very boring. Earlier, the match between Fortune Barisal vs Minister Group Dhaka was held. Barisal was able to give a target of only 130 runs by batting first. Usually, we watch the matches of the franchise league because in these matches both teams score a lot of runs and the matches are competitive. But the BPL teams are very weak. The teams have to work hard to collect only 140 runs in 20 overs.

I didn't knew about this until I read your comment. 30 runs of 6 balls and you end up scoring 28 runs is really a good effort. WI have shown good performance in this T20 series and England need to work hard to avoid Ashes likes result. WI Lost the 8th wicket on 98 runs and after that it's shepherd and Hosein show.

Yes that is true it is a really old technique of ICC and I have to say maybe they should try mixing up things a little from the next time and maybe things will be more interesting to watch. That way maybe they can get more revenue.

But the thing is, I don't think they are willing to take that risk right now because it's already hard to generate revenue under these circumstances. But it certainly would be interesting to see the fixtures being different.

If you want to watch the exciting match, you should have watched today's match of Chittagong Challengers vs Khulna Tigers. Khulna won the toss, but they gave Chittagong a chance to bat first. Chittagong scored 190 runs with the help of the devastating batting of Chittagong batsmen. Khulna stumbled at the beginning after batting for 191 runs. After losing the first wicket for 18 runs and two valuable wickets for 28 runs, they fell behind. After that, Khulna was defeated by 25 runs. This match was uch exciting.
