Are there any chances that IPL may include Pak players in coming seasons. I read that current government in India are very much against inclusion of Pak players in IPL. IPL quality will definitely improve if we see Pak players in action there.  BCCI should separate cricket from politics.  

I don't think so. The current government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is comprised of right-wing parties and they are very hostile to the idea of including Pakistani players. However, many believe that opposition leader Mamata Banerjee may become the PM by 2024. She is regarded by many as pro-Pakistan, and may allow the IPL franchises to include players from countries like Pakistan. Some of the franchises want to go for Pakistani players, and officials have spoken in favor of it, but the BCCI remains staunchly against it as of now.

I think the problem is money, cricket in West Indies isn't attracting a lot of money apart from the Caribbean premier league which started very recently, earlier cricketers were not paid a lot for playing cricket and also it's not that glamourous for you until you become a legend there. This might be one reason why there is no new talent coming in the team, also as West Indies isn't one single country so that makes the politics of the board quite confusing too, but I am very sure that this team isn't becoming a good team for next 10-15 years in Test, they are just going to struggle that's all.

Money were never been issue in Windies cricket because sometime back I read one statement from Board Member issue is not related to money they have some ethics issues which are now having some serious damage and sad thing is no one country able to have his own team so just because of this they are not having proper set up, but hopefully they will do some better in near future, or they will completely down and out like Zimbabwe because it's not going to stay like this for lone time. Right now they are having challenges from Afghanistan and Bangladesh as they are now on this level due to their personal issues.

As far as I know, WICB just earned around 116 crores last year and that also primarily came due to the Caribbean premier league otherwise they must have made even lesser than that, moreover, this number is just around what the Zimbabwe board earns every year which too is generally considered poor and always out of funds.

I think politics control every aspect of the country in every country, it's not just about the sub continent or the Americas, Politics has always been a very key factor in the development of any sport in the country.

Yes Pakistan players were included during the initial IPL tournament but the cricket ties were broken after the Mumbai terrorist attack and after that there was no cricket relation between two cricket boards. With the current right wing government you cannot expect that to change anytime soon.

Even i do not like mixing politics and sports together, but the fans follow the sport of cricket as a religion and it is hard to see any changes in the near future but there are other sports where India and Pakistan compete.

Good statement politics in sports is never been good idea, but sadly we have some good combination of these two in subcontinent, and it's giving some good rivalry which is very important so Pakistani players coming or not now it's not important because IPL is doing very good without them day by day. It's my personally opinion if Mamta Banerjee is also coming as next Indian Prime Minister then still it's not easy for them to include Pakistani Players because right wing is very strong and no one will try to go against them for having some better future in Indian Politics for some time.

As said there is no healthy relation between these two countries from the very beginning. The same has served as a big business at times. Whether it is an exhibition match or a league match, if this is being played between India and Pakistan the hype will be big and same is the audience response from people all around the world. There is a lot of violence going on in Kashmir, and a lot of people oppose normalizing sporting relations with Pakistan unless a settlement is reached on the Kashmir issue. Some of the BCCI officials have in the past supported better relations with Pakistan, but the current management doesn't hold such views (esp. Jay Shah and Anurag Thakur).

This is fact that who is PM and which party is having majority nothing matters these two countries are not going to be normal because it's not in favor of big political community even it's in big favor of common peoples but who cares about this. Kashmir is surely a main reason behind this all, and it's not going to solve in near future because it's also not in favor of some peoples which are doing politics just because of this all.

Even I am feeling these relationships are going to be worst in near future because of further more tension happening around India due to China Belt and road network. With this all most effective party is sports persons because they have no chance for having some good and positive rivalry like we have in many countries of this world.

@Sithara007 IPL is no longer just about cricket it’s about selling ad spaces at the highest rate, merchandise products and earn solid revenues etc and I don’t think Pakistan could have managed that even if they started earlier. Furthermore the reason IPL was and is successful is because they created additional revenue for all the participating boards and player’s, and I doubt that any other board could have managed to do it so well.

USA won the match, but I didn't expect it. Everyone will say that Ireland is better than USA. The new players of USA has betted very well. I once saw an Indian spectator holding a board saying " indians have three Gods. Cricket, Cinema and Bhagvan". Indians are two much crazy for cricket and when when 1.3 billion people get crazy for something it's market automatically go up. You can see craze of cricket in Pakistan in recent WI series. There is hardly any spectator in the ground.
