Anyone watching Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy domestic matches, i started watching because Kerala have a very good team with Sanju Samson leading the team and Robin Uthappa opening and Sreesanth making a come back after seven years. Today they are facing Mumbai and they are chasing a target of 197 runs and they had a good start and might even win the match. Watch out the name Mohammed Azharuddeen the Kerala opener who is smashing the Mumbai bowlers and he will be in the next IPL .

I am watching Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy's matches. And after watching the performances of the teams I will start betting here. Today two matches are being held Rajsthan vs Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai vs Kerala. Rajasthan team gave a short target of 149 runs to Madhya Pradesh. But Madhya Pradesh lost 6 wickets for just 63 runs. It looks like Rajasthan will win the match easily.
On the other hand, Mumbai gave Kerala a huge target of 198 runs. Interestingly, Kerala scored 127 runs in 9 overs without losing any wicket. Mohammad Azharuddin scored 92 runs off just 35 balls. Hopefully, Kerala will win today.

Didn't watch the game but heard about Azharuddin's inning. Harsha Bhogle literally had a boner when talking this player  . I checked the teams roaster and its good to see that almost every IPL local/national players representing their respective states, even likes of Sikhar, Ishant, Raina, Bhuvi, Chahar etc.

Mohammad Azharuddin is a very talented young player. But I don't think he will get a chance in the India national team at this time. He is a wicket-keeper and batsman. If he wants to get a chance in the Indian team, he must play better than Rishab Pant. Hopefully, in next IPL we will be able to enjoy Azharuddin's destructive game. A good performance in IPL widens the door for the national team.

Kerala just need 46 runs in 56 balls and Mohammed Azharuddeen scored a century in 37 balls.

Damm! if this was an international tournament and then this would have become a record. I did some search on Google and found that AB De Villiers holds a record of the fastest century which was in just 31 balls against the West Indies in 2015.

He scored his century from 37 balls, which makes it the 13th fastest century in T20 cricket.

The record is still being held by Universe Boss Chris Gayle, who blasted a century from just 30 balls (Royal Challengers Bangalore v Pune Warriors, in 2013). Back then he scored 175 runs out of the RCB total of 263/5 in 20 overs. Aaron Finch went for 29 runs in 6 balls, while Ali Murtaza went for 45 from his 12.

Chris Gayle innings is unforgettable and still flashes in front specially the ones where he has those massive sixes in that innings and might take some long time before anyone could break it. 100 in 29 balls literally means that each ball must cross boundary line which is like the toughest to break it.

I agree with you. Mohammad Azharuddin is a talented player. But he has not yet been tested in all formats. But Rishab Pant played well in all formats. It will not be an easy task for Azharuddin to replace him in the Indian team.

If Azharuddin is a better wicket keeper then he will replace Rishab Pant with ease and he can be in the team as a batsman and not as a wicket keeper as he keeps dropping catches in a crucial position and he is not up to the standards that is present in the team with other specialist wicket keepers and if Azharuddin is better at that and can be consistent he will be a bright prospect  .

Usually in the past Kerala was a weak team and this is the first team they defeated Mumbai in a match in the history of domestic cricket and there are pretty easy picks in these tournaments, i am yet to watch the rest of the matches but the picks are pretty easy for some matches.

Some phenomenal batting display by Azhar who is just seeing cricket ball as if its football with 102 not out in just 40 balls with 8 sixes.

First time Azhar is performing like this in the big stage even though i have heard about him and it was the first century scored in T20 from a Kerala player.

I am not aware of these domestic teams and i am hearing about these players for the first time. Not sure whether these matches are telecasted but i can see the updated scoreboard.
Rishabh Pant cannot be a specialist wicket keeper until he improves drastically, the number of catches he drops per series is high than any other wicket keeper in recent times.
Even in the last match Wriddhiman Saha played as a substitute keeper and he took some exceptional catches and i am sure if Pant was the keeper there is no way they will get out.

How many wicket-keeper batsman or pure WK does India have in the domestic/national level ? I heard only 5 names so far. Saha is pure WK and as Sanju manju says everyone else seems bit n pieces.  .. Dinesh Kartik international career is about to end so not including him.

The question is for how long Wriddhiman Saha will be considered for the national team. He is already 36 years old and there are signs that age is catching up with him. Rishabh Pant should not be their first choice wicket keeper, he can be in the team as a batsman, the amount of catches he drops every match is insane and you need to have a specialist in that position as they are ones that creates chances and convert the half chances to wickets but Pant drops regulation catches and how can he be called a specialist wicket keeper.

You cannot find a specialist keeper like Adam Gilchrist, Kumar Sangakkara or Dhoni, identify the best talents who have safe hands rather than looking for players who drops catches and then give the opponent the opportunity to score 100 or 150 and then come on to bat and score 50 runs does not mean anything.

Well they were standing at bottom last season and he didn't perform that good. Guess they did okay considering his big price tag, there is slight chance that RR might buy him back on auction cheaply if there is no bidding war for him.

This was expected. Steve Smith was disappointing for RR, in terms of both captaincy and batting. Anyway, his T20 record is not as great as his test record. Last time, they purchased him for such a huge amount but he failed to deliver what was expected from him. Apart from Sanju Samson, none of the other RR batsmen were impressive during the last tournament. RR may be looking to replace Smith with someone from West Indies or South Africa.

But IPL 2020 was extremely disappointing for the Rajasthan Royals, as they finished rock bottom of the points table. Even the CSK managed to finish ahead of them despite the horrible start they had.

CSK is about to rebuild its core team this time because its already said by MSD at the end of last season which was horrible except for the last few matches. Don't forget that Watto also retired so they need to find someone who can open the innings for them and also for the future years. Bowling department also getting weaker with CSK and I didn't see Imran Tahir's name in the released or retained list of CSK but I consider that he also will be released due to the age factor.

Still CSK gt 6 slots and only one overseas slots in it, not sure which one they are going to pick up for overseas, my guess will be they need a good player in the middle order so they will go with the same weaker bowling attack.
