This is turning out to be a bad evening for cricket fans. Earlier we had one sided game in form of DC vs MI, where Mumbai thrashed the delhi, now RCB vs SRH seems to heading on the same direction. RCB's big guns already gone and they didn't even cross 100 runs. Considering its Sharjah and dew effect in second inning for bowling side, RCB is in deep trouble.

MI are in very good shape and its hard to beat them. I think they will be the deserving champion of this year IPL. However i think Royal Challengers Bangalore performance was disappointing today and if they lose this match (which look like they will), it will be a big upset for them. Too many teams on 14 and 12 points make every point crucial at this stage.

Maybe this is turning into a bad night but this is making the tournament more excited because if RCB lose this match then 6 teams will be at the verge to get selected into top 4.If SRH win tonight then they will move to top 4 for sure because they are the only team has positive net run rate.

What a match we have had. Even the Chris Gayle 99 could not take Kings XI Punjab towards the victory. That's how tough is the competition in this year's IPL. Still its not sure who will make to the top 4 teams. With the loss of Kings XI Punjab, the points table is very much open now for teams to qualify.

And let's not forget the fact that the KXIP management refused to include Gayle in the playing XI during the initial 6-7 matches, because they wanted to give repeated chances to Glan Maxwell and mediocre players such as Mandeep Singh and Sarfaraz Khan. Gayle has played a huge role during the second half of the group stage, and without him, KXIP would have been in very bad shape.

Chris Gayle is a big name in this short format of cricket and his position exceptionally upper side. Just after Chris Gayle back into the squad implies regeneration of hope that boost KXIP in the race of playoffs. It's unbelievable how Maxwell keeps playing everything when he has been struggling so far. Honestly, RR batting is too good in chasing as KXIP bowlers were lesser effective yesterday.

If both DC and RCB lose their matches, then everything will come down to the RCB vs DC clash on Monday. The winner will qualify for the playoffs.

And also the losing team may have chance to slip from the top four because lot of teams will stick with 14 points so the run rate will decide which one to go and definitely RCB and DC has less run rate difference even though they are in top of the table now.

MI won the match one sided by 9 wickets and Ishan was not out at 72. DC is not consistent team and in last 5 matches they have lost 4. Only some days they play amazing cricket and rest of their matches are very ordinary and this would not help them in the upcoming matches with type of performances unless they make some change in plan as a team unit.

MI will mostly be top of the table it seems now.
 

You can simply generalize their performance how DC were flopped their last four games. They must work on their batting side. Otherwise I don't see them in playoffs. If they manage qualify, then there will be no fun since KXIP can give more challeng.

CSK vs KXIP match, I won't be surprised if CSK destroys them as they are now playing spoilsport for most teams who are trying to claim the 4th position. KKR would do everything in their hand to get a birth in the top 4 and it is the same for RR. All matches from now onwards are a must-watch.

Mayank Agarwal failed once again (despite a quick start) and their inexperienced lower middle order won't be able to do much (Mandeep Singh / Deepak Hooda). Actually it is unfair to ask Gayle to rescue them every time. He did that in the previous matches, but wasn't able to repeat this time.

DC started very well. They were at the top position of the point table. I thought they might ensure playoff from the first position. But I’m completely wrong. Now their playoff is almost uncertain. But I would be personally happy if they are able to play in the playoff.

What's going on in IPL. I thought KXIP will atleast reach the play off round. And actually they have a lot of chance to go olay off. I am very sad today by seeing KXIP lose two match in a raw and also lose the hope of play off round. I can not look at the Rahul's eye.

Today it was not a Gayle day and its impact we could see on KXIP, though Deepak played well for his 62 not out but target of 154 for CSK was just not that big. CSK comprehensively won the match with 9 wickets left. Top order played well for CSK in this match and Punjab bowlers dint look that effective today and not much wicket taking delivery that could have troubled the batsman.

Feeling bad for KXIP who is now out of the playoff race, despite some of the good turnaround matches they have played till now in last few matches this dint helped them to make it to top 4.

CSK has been trolled as the worst team ever playing innthe IPL due to the age factor but atleast they found good combination of Youngster and experienced player which will be really helpful for them in the next season which may happen in the next 6 or 6 months.Dhoni confirmed that he is going to play for CSK more at the time of Toss.Yes agree that CSK gave too much opportunities for Jadhav which could be a big change if it was given to Ruturaj or other youngsters because they could be a contender for top 4 if they got 14 points in their table.
