I am in favor of distancing sports from politics.

Basically sports must lead to good relationships but having military actions and sports events at a time is definitely not making sense.

Ideally sports should be kept away from politics. But that is not possible nowadays, because the prime minister of Pakistan himself is the former Pakistan cricket team captain. Some of the other players, such as Shahid Afridi have also got themselves associated in politics. In the Indian side also, a number of ex-players have joined politics. The most famous of them may be Gautam Gambhir, who was recently elected as the member of Parliament from Delhi. I am afraid that this is not going to end well for Pakistan, given the dominance of the BCCI in the world of cricket.

You are right, both countries are very excited about the Kashmir issue. No one will make any concessions to anyone. So both the country and the cricket board should try to control the situation by avoiding conflict. Sports should not be used as a political tool.

LOL.. the BCCI and the PCB seems to be in a war of words over the proposed Kashmir Premier League. The BCCI has made it clear that any player (current ones, or retired) taking part in this league would be banned from all the events organized by the board. Herschell Gibbs has already criticized the move from the BCCI, saying that it is pure bullying. The tournament is supposed to start from this week (6th August), and will involve 6 teams from the Pakistan controlled part of Kashmir - Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Bagh, Mirpur and Kotli.

BCCI has already termed it as a deliberate provocation. The team from Pakistan-controlled part of Kashmir takes part in the domestic competitions in Pakistan (and the same is the case with Indian controlled part of Kashmir, which takes part in Indian domestic competitions). But the issue here is that for the first time Pakistan has sanctioned a franchise T20 league, which will see the involvement of foreign players. So far, foreign players have stayed out of cricket in this region, and now PCB is trying to change the status quo.

Although Soumya is a somewhat experienced player but I think Naim is a new player. Naim was dismissed for 30 runs off 29 balls. Now Mahmudullah and Sakib are at the crease.
I think the Australian team is well-balanced now than Bangladesh as you mentioned above, Don't see enough good players in the Bangladesh team.

What you were expecting actually? It was meant to be a lop-sided match and we got exactly that. But it was surprising to see Mitchell Starc conceding so many runs, after his stellar form in West Indies during the ODI series (he had picked 11 wickets in just three matches). But there was no breathing space for Bangladesh, as Josh Hazlewood destroyed the top and middle order. The spinners also bowled well, especially Adam Zampa (picked up the crucial wicket of Mohammad Naim. And as expected, Shakib Al Hasan top scored for the Bangladeshis.

You're right. It's always hard to score runs on BD pitches not a new thing. You should blame yourself if you are not concerned about your opponent's pitch condition. Bangladesh wins their first t20 match against Australia. Bangladesh's disciplined bowling restricts Australia to just 108 runs, well played Bangladesh.

In the end, it was just pathetic performance from the Australians. At this rate, the big 3 in the future will be comprised of India, England and New Zealand. Australia is losing to teams like Bangladesh and can't be considered as a part of the big 3. Look at the Australian team. They are a big zero without players such as David Warner, Aaron Finch and Steve Smith. Players like Matthew Wade have performed poorly on a consistent basis and yet manage to find a place in the playing XI. Apart from Mitchell Marsh, there is not a single consistent performer in the Australian team.

True, we shouldn't address it as home advantage. Australia team management wasn't unaware about the condition of the pitch. But they know that Bangladeshi batsman can hardly chase the excessive fast bowlers. And they have Starc & Hazlewood in the squad. Starc has given much run today but he was able to create pressure on Bangladeshi batsman. Australian batsman should have played with more responsibilities. The second T20 will be interesting now. Australia will definitely try to get the victory in that match.
