Yesterday also it was not easy for the Ireland players. Zimbabwean batsmen managed to score around 60 runs in their last 5 overs and that too in conditions which were favorable to bowling. I guess the absence of Josh Little has weakened their bowling lineup. He was the top performer during the series against South Africa. And once Kevin O'Brien got out, there was a bit of wobble, with Andy Balbirnie following in quick succession and Harry Tector struggling to score the runs. They won the match thanks to George Dockrell at the end.

Its very strange and also nice to see that a lot of people here are following the matches between Zimbabwe and Ireland. We never used to watch such matches as no one seems interest in the results and such low profiles teams series.
Seeing so many comments about the match make me think that people are taking interest in such series also which do not involve big teams.

Involving of big teams isn't necessary to attract spectators. Both teams have almost same quality players. There wasn't big difference in the betting odds. This is like a competitive series. Moreover, Ireland will play the first round of upcoming T20 world cup. This series is getting some discussion for these reasons. The end of the first T20 game was unexpected and surprising. I'm glad that Ireland team got the victory in the second match.

I don't totally agree with this because when we watch matches between big teams we know all of the players and its exciting to watch. For a match like this between Ireland and Zimbabwe, how many players you're familiar with ? To tell you truth, i did not know nay of the player in Ireland and only few for Zimbabwe.

It’s not necessarily true that I'm watching every matches but it's good to keep me up to date with most matches as I'm a cricket fan but I don’t bet on cricket matches most often, not at least in such matches. It’s unpredictable most of the times.

It’s not necessarily true that I'm watching every matches but it's good to keep me up to date with most matches as I'm a cricket fan but I don’t bet on cricket matches most often, not at least in such matches. It’s unpredictable most of the times.

There may be three types of people who post here or others sports threads for example [Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions any many more.

1- Many only posts for the Signature campaigns
2- Some have interest for the sports and they share their point of view
3- Only few are the ones who really bet on matches. I hardly see anyone posting that he put a bet on a match and win or lost. Such posts are very rare.

Also, these matches are very attractive for the gamblers, because the sportsbooks have a higher chance of underestimating various teams. From my part, I am a big fan of smaller countries like Ireland, and so I am interested in their matches although I am not in to fantasy cricket.

You pick a team of 11 players and if they perform you earn points and picking the captain and vice captain of the team is important because if they perform you will get double the points. There a ton of apps that provide fantasy cricket and i did participate in the past during world cup match and it was fun and you need to shell out some money, first spend small amount and understand the concept and then go for bigger amount if you are confident.

These are leagues that are conducted on regional manner. This means for India it is IPL, Bangladesh have got some other league. This doesn't require any investment, if we're with plans of betting. Same as the other matches we'll be provided with odds. We need to determine the team strength and choose the odds.

Apart from this fantasy cricket is being played through apps where we need to select a virtual team and based on the players performance the score for our virtual team is calculated and the top one to predict the perfect team with the high score wins.

I couldn't following what the problem is supposed to be, but the reporters were foaming at the mouth about the arrangements made for the cricketers.

Fantasy sports is not considered as gambling and that presents a loophole in countries where proper gambling is banned. And this is also one of the reasons why fantasy cricket is so popular in South Asia. The other legal avenues to gamble are not available, and therefore the gamblers flock to sites such as MPL and Dream XI. But recently the media have been critical of fantasy cricket. They claim that it is just like lottery and a lot of people have lost their money after getting addicted to it. They have strict requirement for participants that they should be aged 18 or above, but sometimes the participants use fake information to gain entry.

Didn't hear any chatter or found anything about it, no big names seems to be involved here may be that's why no major sports outlet picked the story so can't make any sense of another quarantine drama atm.

The Australian government has got very strict with the quarantine requirements, as the delta variant is spreading throughout the country. Even aboriginal communities in the remote outback have reported infections. Now they are reporting more than 1,000 cases per day (for much of 2021, the daily number of new cases was in single digits). Same is the situation in New Zealand, but they are not as worse as Australia. Still, it is a big blow for the overhyped "New Zealand model" under Jacinda Ardern. Despite being the most remote country in the world, they are unable to spread the COVID 19 spread there.

As far as I know, cash deposit in fantasy cricket (in India) can be done only through bank accounts or using debit/credit cards. So there is no need to do KYC. None of the sites allow deposits in the form of cryptocurrency. So the government may tolerate them up to a certain limit. Also, these brands (MPL, Dream XI.etc) are heavy donators to various political parties and therefore they have good relationship with the politicians. On top of that, the government badly needs the tax revenue from such activities.

I checked the One Day Cup schedule and it seems to me that Queensland didn't get any initial matches, you can rule out this one.

Our women team (Indian) is schedule to play series in Brisbane so this seems valid reason for another Cricket bubble. Btw what's the status of The Ashes? Read some reports that English players are not allowed to travel with the families due to strict bio bubble.

BCCI invites tender for new IPL franchises

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has put a base price of Rs 2000 cr for the new teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After it sent out a release inviting bids for two new franchises on Tuesday (August 31), a BCCI office-bearer confirmed to Cricbuzz that the reserve price would be Rs 2000 crore, an expected figure considering that the Rajasthan Royals, not exactly a top-rung side in the league, had sold 15 per cent of its share at an overall value of Rs 1850 crore recently.

The final selling price could be more than Rs 3000 crore per team but one BCCI official said the board expects it to be higher than double of the reserve fee. Ahmedabad and Lucknow are the favoured destinations but a few other cities are also available for purchase. The whole process of bidding could be over by October second week enabling the two new franchises to witness the IPL final in Dubai on October 15."

I don't understand how they calculate the odds based on which factors but believe me NZ is a strong team in their own country but since the match is being held at Bangladesh, i will consider Bangladesh favorite for tomorrow match. Also this NZ doesn't look too strong to me.

By the way, if you bet on NZ you will want NZ to win but deep inside your heart you are supporter of Bangladesh ( as you mentioned above). You may be quite confused during the match
