The Delhi players did not try to hit too many boundaries from the start of the match as the target was low. If the target was big, their style of play would have been different. Even with such a low run target for Dhoni's experienced captaincy, it was very difficult for Delhi to win the match. If Hetmyre's catch was not missed then maybe Chennai was able to win the match. Because, Axar Patel can't bat well. He has collected only 5 runs from 10 balls.

That dropped catch probably decided the match. Hetmyer was the last recognized batsmen and after him, it was the tailenders. And I was really surprised, because it was a very easy chance. And Gowtham not just dropped the catch, but also kicked the ball towards the boundary. At the most it could have been one run, but his misfield cost the CSK an additional 3 runs. And these runs proved crucial in a match that was decided in the final over. 2 runs were needed from the last 3 balls. If the misfield was not there, then it could have been 6 runs from 3 balls, with Kagiso Rabada at the striker end.

Interesting match schedule for today RR vs MI. After defeating CSK I am pretty much sure that RR has the much-needed confidence. MI performance throughout this tournament has been depressing. I am pretty much sure they will repeat the same performance. I am putting my money on RR today.

LOL.. I don't know if anyone would bet in favor of Mumbai Indians today. Almost all of their players looks out of form - Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Quinton de Kock, Pandya sisters.etc. Only Rohit and Jasprit are contributing, but they are also unable to take the team to victory. Perhaps time has come to give chances to some of the younger players. What is the point in having Hardik in the team, if he's not 100% fit? On his place they can play James Neesham, who is a very good allrounder. If the overseas limit is the problem, then they can go for Anukul Roy.

It seems safe to bet on RR in today's match. Although their bowlers gave a lot of runs in the previous match, the performance of the batsmen was remarkable. If the batsmen can perform as they did in the previous match, then defeating a team like Mumbai will not be a problem for Rajasthan. Moreover, Rajasthan's bowlers are good enough. I am hopeful that they will be able to perform well against a weak batting lineup like Mumbai.

Rajasthan scored 26 runs in 3 overs. If the first wicket pair can form a partnership of 50 runs, then RR will be able to collect more than 180 runs in today's match. Their batters are in good form.

after 13 overs, RR is able to collect 63 runs and they lost 5 wickets. I will not say weak batting, I will say there is no continuity in the performance of batsmen. After scoring 190 runs in the previous match, such a batting disaster in today's match was completely unexpected. Many like me may have bet on the victory of Rajasthan today. Everyone seems to be losing money today.

Pitch is not bad as they play I am also feeling terrible for them because before match some good things was going in their favor but suddenly all end now they will be badly demolished by Mumbai Indians and their NRR will also jump good, and we have some good and interesting last matches of this phase.

Neesham entry is very good and useful for Mumbai Indians and Coulter-Nile also on top of game but really waste of Hardik Pandya because if he is not fully fit then surely give him rest and time for world cup. Rohit Sharma is starting in mood like Rajasthan Royals done against CSK, most chances matches going to end in between 12 and 15 overs.

Edit: Sharma gone very quickly  Sakariya takes wicket but Mumbai is still not going to stop.

Just too easy chase for Mumbai! Mumbai keep their playoff hopes alive with a fifty from Ishan Kishan on his return to the side. Yet, sometimes changes bring positive results. It may have been smarter to play this type of game earlier instead of depending on the other team now. The loss is disappointing for Rajasthanians.

This happens everytime. Sanju Samson fails at the crucial stage, after big knocks during the earlier games. They were 25/0 after two overs, and made 65 runs and lost 9 wickets in the next 18 overs. All the credit to Nathan Coulter-Nile and James Neesham, the two overseas players who were ignored for too long by the Mumbai Indians. I always felt that James Neesham was crucial to Mumbai Indians, after the pathetic performances from Hardik Pandya in recent times. They should have done that earlier.

Back to back defeats surely big disappointment for CSK and their fans because they were playing the best cricket in last few matches, but suddenly Rajasthan Royals change their momentum of wins and bring them down to earth after this lost now against Delhi Capital's give more dent in this. Rayudu was only batsman who give some resistance, all others was very poor and not able to handle quality bowling from Delhi Capitals.

Chennai Super Kings could have won the match but they dropped catches at crucial moments and that was an easy catch to dismiss Shimron Hetmyer and if that catch was taken then the match would have been different.

Now they have last match against Punjab Kings, and they need to win this if they want to stay at second spot because lose can bring them down to third RCB is also doing good for best end of this phase, and they have some better chances.

Even if CSK looses against RCB that would not bother them much, they need to focus on two matches and they will be in the finals.

Mumbai won the match against RR and if Kolkata Knight Riders looses the next match then Mumbai Indians will be qualified.

If Mumbai Indians get qualified and then end up winning the title i wont be surprised because the performance against Rajasthan Royals during a crucial stage of the tournament and winning by a huge margin shows how Mumbai Indians can rise to the occasion even though they need Kolkata Knight Riders to loose the next match and Mumbai Indians winning the match for them to qualify.

First 2 scenario are out of the equation because MI won convincingly last night, when no one was expecting them to win due to their poor form, at least majority of fans.

I really hope that 3rd scenario plays out, it would be more entertaining if it comes down to run rate.

They purchased Chris Morris for $2.3 million, and he can't even find a place in the playing XI nowadays. Apart from the top order, none of their batsmen are in form (ironically that is the case with most of the other franchises - most of them have brittle middle order these days). Apart from Morris, Ryan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Glenn Phillips and David Miller have failed to score runs for RR. Anyway, even before the tournament I expected them to be overdependent on Sanju Samson, and they haven't been really able to shrug off that perception.

So this match is unimportant to them. SRH, on the other hand, has won just two of 12 matches. Even if they win, they will remain in the last position on the points table. I think it's like a warm-up match for RCB.
