In the end, Ireland lost the match once again. We can claim that they gave a good fight to the Proteas, but I don't think that it is enough. The fact is that they have failed to win a single match against any of the test nations, ever since their tour of West Indies. And also, yesterday their top and middle order collapsed completely. Only the partnership between Lorcan Tucker and George Dockrell saved them from complete humiliation. And all this against a South African side that was missing key players such as Nortje and Rabada.

In last few matches Ireland's performance is amazing as they are losing matches against quality teams narrowly which is good job as they are having some good quality players, but sadly there are lakes in experience which is the biggest problem, and they need good finisher which is also a problem for them in last few matches.

They are giving too many runs in every match and their batsmen not going good in chase which is problem they have few quality batsmen but still need experience, and they are also having some issues in bowling which is currently their weakest department with fielding also need some good work.

If they want to stay in at good position for long in these two formats ODI and T20 because these both can give them good chance for having better structure in cricket test is a long way for them right now.

Overall they are a weak team and therefore after coming closer to a win they are still losing. Lack of experience is according to me the primary reason. They also have a weak bowling lineup and they need to work on that part. I am happy that they are now getting to play with so many big teams. This will surely help them in getting the required experience but will also help their bowlers to understand what they have been doing wrong.

Ireland are a relatively weak team, more importantly they are very inexperienced. They may be collecting good tottal. But they don't know how to bat to win against big target. Experience is definitely needed to win against strong teams. They are losing every match by a few runs margin because of the inexperience of the players. They will gradually become experienced. Maybe we will see a stronger performance from Ireland in the next 2 years.

Another day and the Pakistan women's team are defeated again by the Australian women's team in Commonwealth Games.
Another poor batting performance by the team Pakistan. The highest scorer was Fatima Sana who made 35 runs. Rest no Pakistani women batsmen knew how to play with a bat 
Even the Pakistani bowlers took only two wickets which shows their poor performances in both batting and bowling department.

@Sithara007 normally I would say team that India is superior, but my gut feeling says that Pakistan will beat them again because team India is not as strong as they were in the past. Furthermore it’ll be an epic finale if these two sides can make it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if team India fails to make it and with one eye on the T20 World Cup it’ll interesting to see what team Rohit and India’s coach Dravid selects.

At this point, I would say that both the teams are having almost equal chances. Pakistan has performed well during the last 3-4 months. And India has to deal with the lack of form from Virat Kohli, who used to be their backbone. My gut feeling is the same as yours. I expect that Pakistan is going to win.. Anyway, irrespective of the outcome, we will get a chance to witness battle between some of the greats, such as Babar Azam vs Jasprit Bumrah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi vs Indian top order.

Likewise, I doubt that Pakistan will also be able to make it to the finals. I just feel like there are better T20 teams compared to Pakistan at the moment. But it is very possible for Pakistan to reach the semifinals.

But if Pakistan wants to win, they will have to perform well as a team. Only Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi's performances will not be enough for Pakistan.

India will be missing Virat Kohli who is a stellar performer and also a big-time match winner for India. I believe Hardik Pandya is going to perform really well for India in this T20 World Cup.

I don't see any possibility of Pakistan winning with India. Although Virat Kohli cannot play for India now.  Still India have many better players who can win India in T20 teams. But for Pakistan haven’t much better players like india. so i support India can win in T20 teams

Pakistan still has good players. But in Pakistan team they don't have much focus on cricket due to which they are performing very badly now.But the government should give more importance to Pakistan Cricket Board. As earlier Pakistan had a lot of reputation but now I don't see any reputation of Pakistan team But I think if the government gives some importance to Pakistan cricket team then surely the team will make good position and can perform as before.

Australia is ranked the number one team in women's cricket and Pakistan as eight. They are no match to the current Australian side. I am not sure why you thought that they would win or will give a good fight to the Australian side. Tahila McGrath not only batted well by scoring 78 runs, she even took three wickets. Fatima Sana could have scored more if she had someone on the other side to form a partnership.

Srilanka Women vs South Africa Women

The Sri Lankan men's cricket team has improved a lot. Despite the lack of experienced players in the team, Sri Lanka's performance is very good right now. It is an exceptional performance by the Irish team. During the last 3 months, they have played England, India, New Zealand, and now South Africa. Not one match was one-sided, and everyone struggled to win. If given more international tours with top teams, Ireland can be a top side. Despite being given a huge target of 212 runs against the likes of Ireland, South Africa was struggling to win. It's really amazing. South African bowlers are not inexperienced. However, they did not fare well against Ireland's batsmen. If Ireland's Tector or Stirling could have played well then Ireland would have been able to win this match.

Ireland is coming close to victory even in the last series and they were not able to reach the finish line, it is really disappointing. Against India they came close to win and then against New Zealand they were times even in the ODI they came close to victory and in the T20s against New Zealand and even now against South Africa.

One more match against South Africa and if they win they would level the series and share the trophy. After that they will be playing against Afghanistan.

Their bowling is just shit. None of the pacers are consistent, and the spinners (McBrine, Dockrell and Simi Singh) are just there to make up the numbers. Even when Boyd Rankin and Tim Murtagh were part of the squad, their pace capability was very much ordinary. But they had occasional success. Remember the test match at Lords, when they bowled out England for just 85 runs? But unfortunately Craig Young and Josh Little don't have the same class as Rankin and Murtagh. Same with Adair and McCarthy as well.

Australia is ranked the number one team in women's cricket and Pakistan as eight. They are no match to the current Australian side. I am not sure why you thought that they would win or will give a good fight to the Australian side. Tahila McGrath not only batted well by scoring 78 runs, she even took three wickets. Fatima Sana could have scored more if she had someone on the other side to form a partnership.

Pakistan is a team that was recently formed, they’re not experienced. They also don’t have the skills required to beat the Australian women’s team.

On the other hand, the Australian team is the most successful in the world. They have the skills and physique needed to beat any team in the world. And with Pakistan, the problem of not being able to form meaningful partnerships has been hanging on for quite some time now.

But that is expected from a team that has not played for a long time. They have to understand that individual scores are only enough to take them so far. But obviously, this is going to be fixed when at least five or six players are determined to have match-winning capability. But right now obviously they are not a match for the Australian women’s team.

Trust me. Netherlands won't be able to win against pig-4 sides, unless they are able to include their star players in the squad. At this point, most of their first choice players (Timm van der Gugten, Fred Klaassen, Roelof van der Merwe.etc) are busy playing county cricket in England. Some of the younger Dutch players have finally started to deliver (especially Bas de Leede and Tim Pringle), and among the senior players Scott Edwards and Logan van Beek have performed consistently. But still half of the squad is there just to make up the numbers and they won't be able to win matches unless this situation changes.

Also, i fail to understand why ICC makes such series like New Zealand tour of Netherlands when there is no comparison between the two teams.
Yes, Netherlands being a weaker team should visit NewZealand but i don't understand why NewZealand will want to visit non cricket playing countries like the Netherlands

Despite the fact that small teams could not finish the race against pig-4 sides, high tier teams always survive because they have the experience to handle such challenges. Due to their lack of experience, low tier teams will not be able to survive. However, Netherlands put up a good fight. In terms of play, Netherlands did well. I believe their loss was caused by a lack of experience. Nevertheless, it was a good learning experience for the Netherlands. Continuing to play brave cricket will help Ireland and the Netherlands be a good team soon.

I don't want to congratulate the Netherlands team. The Netherlands team is comparatively less strong than New Zealand, we know that. But the Netherlands should have won by batting only for 149 runs. Their performance was poor from the beginning of the innings. The Netherlands lost three wickets for just 15 runs. Netherlands could have won this match if the batsmen could bat a bit more responsibly. Although there are several talented players in the Netherlands, they are not interested in playing for the national team. The Netherlands board should increase the opportunities for the national team players. As a result, players are more interested in playing for the national team.
