The BCCI has been successful in recent times because they had a balance of money and improvement.
I cannot say that it was perfectly balanced but some type of balance did exist and that's why they got the success.

If a board is corrupt totally, I don't think they could have had the success that BCCI had in recent times.
But they still have a long way to go to be absolutely professional.

The element of corruption is everywhere and we cannot keep it away from sports and life. Somehow that is the irony of life.

Here I agree with you about element of corruption is everywhere, but this is having too many shapes because in third world it's killing drastically too much with not good infrastructure and having personal likes and dislikes are also doing the worst things in many countries and in European countries it has different shape like we have few cases about media rights against top ranked UEFA peoples.

I watch in subcontinent too much involvement of politics in all fields which bring some good number of corrupt peoples, and then we have drastically downtrend which mostly kills naturally talented persons with education sector is also needed some revolutionary changes in few counties even country like India doing some positive things but still it's not good enough with still nepotism is having very strong roots in this system.

I think the T10 needs to expand if we want to make new countries interested in cricket. Otherwise, western or European countries will not be interested in cricket. Although there are many football fans in Western or European countries, their spectators are not interested in cricketers. I think the T10 format will make cricket more enjoyable.

There was a news in about increasing the number of matches in the mainstream media. It will be done in a phased manner but how they will accomodate those matches has not been disclosed yet. You can read this news article. It has been explained in detailed. I am not sure if an objection from a single board will stop BCCI.

But during the past couple of years, I have seen T10 leagues mushrooming across the globe, especially in the GCC nations as well as in West Indies (Abu Dhabi T10 is perhaps the most popular T10 league at the moment). There is so much shortage of time available for recreational activity in the world right now. So it is understandable that the sports events are getting shorter and shorter. And this trend is likely to continue in the future as well.

Undoubtedly, India is controlling the entire cricket world. Now IPL has become a popular cricket event. On the other hand, many are forgetting about international cricket. In this situation, if the IPL time is extended, there will be an instability in the entire cricket field because every league has a schedule and there is international cricket. There are Test matches, ODIs and T20s. So, it would be very difficult to extend the time duration.

PSL managed to keep the interest of the viewers alive. But IPL _gosh- it was so long and there were so many teams on board.
What has gone wrong to BCCI - such a long tournament. I am sure there are so many other factor involved as well in IPL apart from cricket only.

Within the IPL, two of the franchises were suspended for their role in match fixing a few years ago. The owners were directly fixing matches and yet these franchises were allowed back in to the league after a couple of years. On top of that, I am not a big fan of T10. It horrifies me. But if the youngsters want it, then T10 may become the face of cricket in less than a decade.

And it's going to remain the same, no matter what. I'm afraid to say but it's part of ecosystem.

IMO innovation is part of the process and i'm sure almost every average fan has played some sort of format in their own life, most probably t-10.

T-10 becoming big thing in future might be a possibility but imo if T-20 want to counter new formats then it should check some list for the viewers.

For ex : Every team should face serious repercussion if they are not bowling their quota with in limited time, T-20 was supposed to be a 3 hours affair(including breaks) but now it goes for like 4 hours.

Honestly, in a game like a cricket time cannot be exact. There are a lot of thoughts always going on in the mind of both the batting team and also the bowling team. And most bowlers are always fond of taking their time.

So, the restriction of time is not something that goes hand in hand with cricket. I actually think even in t10 format if it is supposed to be finished in 2 hours. I think it is going to take longer.

I don't think t-10 is going to require a lot of skills at all. And that is going to encourage a lot of countries to at least tryout cricket and see if it works out or not. Innovation is always the way to go and I also think t10 can be a breakthrough for the popularity of cricket. But probably now was not the right time.

Just as the team has world-class Batman, so does the world-class team. All in all, Pakistan is one of the best teams in 20 overs.

I want to ask if you think a lot of runs are going to be scored. But what I have heard is that t10 is going to be played with only 6 wickets. I think that is a good decision if it actually happens. In a 10-over format of cricket, there is no point in having 10 wickets. You can basically just play baseball.

But I think in the starting the power play and the surprise free hit (or whatever the hell it is called) are going to be a little confusing to people just like the DRS system was confusing at first.

Cricket is now going to have some impact with their formats drastically because we were in test format for nearly one century, and then we have ODI format from this we spend nearly 30 years, and we have another T-20 but after this now we have only very few years talk is going about T-10 which is going to be revolutionary for this game and bringing too much money in very short time for many big players because with this we will be able to have some good action and with this media and fans are going to enjoy which will bring more interest and better viewership.

Now ball is in management's hand how they handle this because if they change this in quick way with have mind that this can bring strong case for entry in Olympics and big market specially in South America and Europe.

I partially agree with your point but because of this very reason T-20 was invented in the first place as ODI goes for 8 hours. It's not format's fault that teams are taking unnecessary tactical breaks and deliberately wasting time during death overs, broadcaster also love this as it gives them extra time slot for the ads.

I have been saying this for some time. PCB will stop complaining if the foreign player release fee goes to the ICC instead of national cricket boards. Right now Pakistan and most of the smaller boards are not benefitting from the IPL, because this fee is pocketed by a handful of boards such as CA, CSA, ECB and WICB. For boards such as PCB and BCB, there is only monetary loss from this league. So their argument is also true. If the BCCI wants the ICC to keep three months every year blocked for the IPL, then the ICC needs to be compensated for it.

Do you think that BCCI product IPL is not secured and still they need to block it for 3 months?  If this is how it works, I suggest extending the tournament for full 12 months 
Remember the lengthier the tournament, people will lose interest.
