BCCI has announced T-20 squad for 2 T-20 match series against Ireland (June, 26 and 28). They are rotating everyone. Pandya is new skipper for this short burst.

That is a great team right there. Hardik Pandya seems to be in a great place these days which is why he appeared calm and composed majority of the time during the recent IPL season which is why making him the captain was a great decision.

Hridik Pandya has proved his mettle in the IPL. He has won the IPL title. And so the Indian management may decide to make Pandya the captain of T20 format in the future.

That's clearly not enough. Pant, Rahul etc were similar cases, but they weren't great captains in the international format.

At the same time Indian test team is playing 4 day warm up match in England, we have 1 off test left in last Eng vs Ind. I guess Pant is moving to test team after South Africa series.

I really like that they are changing the captaincy of the Indian team. I believe Hardik Pandya is going to do well because he has proved himself in the IPL. I really don't think he will have any problem in the international arena as well.

But I am absolutely not sure about Bhubaneswar Kumar being the vice-captain, probably that is not that important. What is important is that Hardik Pandya is getting his shot now and I hope he will be able to deliver.

England is playing really well right now in the test arena and it will be really hard for India to beat them.

IMO there is no deep thought process in recent captaincy change because core Indian team already getting into test match mode and about to reach England. When your 1st, 2nd, 3rd captaincy candidates are playing all 3 formats then these sort of quick changes are natural, we have seen this in recent time, even Sikhar led the Indian team in the SL. These bilateral series are giving them option of testing their bench strength, changing captaincy is part of it and in doing so they are giving everyone fair chances to prove themselves and get some International experience.

So finally they decided to kick out Rishabh Pant from the team? He was given so many chances and failed to make use of them. Pant is rumored to be very close to Virat Kohli and that helped obviously. But time has come to give chances to some of the other players, and that is the reason Dinesh Karthik has been named as the wicket keeper for the Ireland series. There are two other keepers in the squad - Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson, and therefore the competition is going to be very tough. And for DK, age is not on his side.

Pant will join test squad along with S. Iyer and there is a possibility of Pant playing in 4 days warm up match against county team.

I personally don't like Hardik Pandya because of his woke behavior. He clung on to the national team for a couple of years despite losing his form. I though that Venkatesh Iyer would have been a more suitable replacement. But IPL changed everything. Pandya won the trophy for his new franchise, and Venkatesh failed to secure a spot in the playing XI within his team. I guess now Pandya will not face any competition for the next 2-3 years, even if he fails to perform. As of now, for the position of pace-bowling allrounder there exists no other option. Shardul is the closest we have.

The BCCI keeps changing captains based on their performances since none of them are as popular as Kohli, MSD etc which is why they are basically experimenting with them currently.

Pandya seems like the best option among the lot for now though he has to prove himself on the international stage since international and IPL matches are different in several ways.

The format is the same but the pressure will be different. He has proven that he can captain in a T20 format after this season of IPL and I think he will be able to do a better job than Panth. In the meantime India will be playing today to stay in the contention of winning the T20 series with South Africa. Last match Rishab Panth perfomance as a batter was not upto the mark. I hope he plays some good innings today.

INDIA lost the early  wicket in 4th T-20 match against South Africa. India managed a low total after 10 overs  56/3(10).Pant and Hardik Pandya is looking good to bat if they will be played well then i think they will be managed 150+ runs in total. But SA looking very well in this series. I think SA will win today match.

I think if South Africa does not lose early wickets, they may win this match however it won't be an easy task.

The way Indian cricket team treats the limited overs cricket, they are never going to become the World Cup winner.

Talent is immense, no doubt about it but if you're not incentivizing the strike rates in T-20 then you deserve to doom. You should never expect becoming impact player in T-20 if your SR is below 140, period!!

It looks like we won very convincedly, i don't think no one expected that, except curator i suppose. 

I'm not going to lie, i didn't even watch  a single ball of this match but i was keeping tab on crickbuzz when we were batting and i still stand on my previous statement.

It's good that we won but fans should be honest and it's a fact that these young blood didn't showed any intent at all when batting.

Indo not think the performance of Indian batters was bad. The pitch was suitable for bowlers and I feel SA was not able to keep the pressure on the indian batters after the 12 over. Dinesh Karthik was too agressive and Hardik did the right thing to stay put with him on the pitch. Avesh Khan bowling was excellent yesterday and Chehal has shown consistent performance.
