India won the first match against Ireland pretty easily even though the match was reduced to 12 overs a side and this is the trend i am expecting in this series, unless Ireland proves otherwise .

Thank god that the India-Ireland series consists of only two T20 matches, otherwise we might have to watch the boring matches between the two team which have no competition between them. The 2nd and the final match between these two teams will be played tomorrow and surely, India will win this series by 2-0 

Absolutely correct! No comparison between both the sides. It was an easy win for India yesterday. What made me happy was to see Stake.com advertising their platform in this match. Intelligent way to promote a gambling platform in India.  I also think Ireland do not have a proper cricket stadium and as usual the crowd was full of Indian expats.

It was actually good to see Ireland trying to achieve something from that match, they actually batted well. Really well if we consider the level of both teams. From Ireland side only Harry Tector was the one who scored runs and helped Ireland in reaching a total of 108 runs in 12 overs. Rest of the players not contributed much if few more players have joined Harry Tector then score would be around 150 and result will be different.

ICC does not have any governance on domestic cricket therefore ICC cannot ask for any money from BCCI. Other boards can still schedule their international matches when IPL is played but the question is that will those players play for their country or will they play for the franchise. Let the players decide.

Ireland is having good talent just because of this now they are in all three formats and mostly their players are involved in English counties which is the biggest advantage for them, but sadly they personally have nothing for promoting game in their country they depend on England and their counties so here they need to do some better work if they want some more intention even it's very difficult for them due too geographically.

This same problem is going to happen in other few countries like Scotland and Netherlands because they are also having domestic set up issues and all depended on English Counties.

If they have proper stadiums then surely it's going to be good for them having full of Indian fans and good money with this all.

Ireland and Scotland, are at this point far ahead of Netherlands. The first two are growing in terms of cricket, while the Netherlands is a declining team (along with their neighbors Danmark). But the problem for all these teams is that their best players will get stolen by England. On the outside, losing one or two best players may not sound that difficult. But Ireland without Eoin Morgan is what Bangladesh is without Shakib al Hasan, or Pakistan without Babar Azam. It can be crippling for these small teams. Already, most of their players are refusing to appear for national duty, as the county championship is going on.

As we all know there are many flaws in ICC rules and their mindset is never been good for better and positive run of this game, so we have some good gape of quality between teams here they need to act in better way and try to keep very few test playing nations because it needs some good skills and technique and for T-20 it's never been like test format so supporting these teams for this format is surely ideal and can bring some healthy changes and competition for all teams.

As you already know, these are weak teams and need better support, so giving them good matches in this format is helpful for all teams. Sticking with Test format for high quality teams and now not giving any test cap to any new team is more helpful.

I guess UAE is also coming up with new league soon and it's clashing with the PSL's window directly.

At this point, we have more than a dozen franchise T20 leagues around the world. And I don't think that this number is sustainable. I would like cricket to try the model of trans-national leagues like Ice Hockey. The National Hockey League have teams from US as well as Canada. It's main competitor is the Russia based KHL (Kontinental Hockey League), which is having teams from Belarus, Kazakhstan and China in addition to Russia. I don't think that Nepal or Afghanistan have the finances to set up their own league. If they participate in the PSL, it will be mutually beneficial for all the sides.  

Sustainable or not but we've to admit that these shorts of tourney helping players financially and exposure in a big way.

JohnBitco posted this good article. Players now have more choice and it's up to them where they want to play. It could work for smaller boards/associate nations.

PCB has every right to raise this issue, why should they stop playing international cricket during IPL? Props to PCB and Rambo as they are just trying to secure their cricket board's interest, that's their main job but at the same time BCCI is also entitled to secure their product.

Do you think that BCCI product IPL is not secured and still they need to block it for 3 months?  If this is how it works, I suggest extending the tournament for full 12 months

Yes, even if Pakistani players are offered to play IPL they will prefer to join league to make more money and quit the national games. That's a bitter truth.
I think the Asian players are more greedy as compared to other parts of the world. The tension between the two countries would never end and hence we cannot dream of seeing the Pakistani players being auctioned in IPL. However if this miracle happens, Baber Azam will be the most expensive player of the IPL

The problem is ICC is very much happy with the number of teams that are playing cricket regularly and I don’t think they have any big plans to help the smaller teams get better. Obviously, there is also some amount of pressure from the big teams so ICC does not do that. With a bigger number of teams trying to play cricket regularly they are always a chance for the bigger teams will be beaten and really humiliated by the smaller teams and I think the bigger teams not wanting that is a big problem why ICC really doesn’t want to make any problems with the bigger team lose those revenues. But if ICC was able to impose authority on the bigger teams I think the revenue board has been much bigger and also a lot more teams would have been playing cricket very regularly so by now.

India has given a huge target of 226 runs. Samson scored 77 off 42 balls and Deepak Hooda 104 off 57 balls. Besides, no other batsman of the team could play well. Even 3 batsmen returned to the dressing room with zero runs. However, the interesting thing is that Ireland managed to score 81 runs in 7.2 overs. Ireland may not win. However, they may be able to collect 170/180 runs.

Ireland is one among the best team in the bottom order that is growing with full potential. If this team gets opportunity to play against the top teams at specific time interval, surely it'll move it's position from the bottom. India is strong, but Ireland used to be much more strong in their home ground. Ireland is maintaining the run rate above 11 runs. In 9 overs Ireland have scored 100 runs losing 2 wickets. This is going to be a tough match for India considering the present situation.

Balbirnie is struggling out there and if the remaining Irish batsmen can't score runs quickly, then the match will rapidly drift out of their control. But still, during the initial powerplay, Ireland scored a massive 73 runs in 6 overs. Now they lost another wicket, as Gareth Delany got out trying for a single that was never there. Ireland need to convert their good starts to good finishes. Else they will remain at the second tier test system for infinite amount of time.

225 runs chase will never going to be easy for Ireland. They did play a few very good overs but to keep the pace for full 20 overs is difficult for a small team like Ireland. Now they need almost 12 runs per over for the next 9-10 overs which is quite an impossible task for the Ireland batsmen. Both the openers Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie are out and two new batsmen at the crease now make the task more difficult against the Indian bowlers.
