I'm not saying it's aliens...But,... It's aliens. Why are you so happy? 200+ people are dead Who says they are dead? Did somebody find the wreckage? If they're not dead it would be a hostage situation and that's a slim chance I heard they called one of the passengers and his phone was responding. This means the plane didn't fall into the ocean. IMO somebody hijacked it. The phones responded for 19 Passengers actually not just one. The relatives even signed a joint statement confirming this. Also Some passenger status became suddenly "ONLINE" on Social media (QQ Group to be specific), very scary stuff. No one was responding. I think the story was that some of the phones were ringing instead of going straight to voice mail. But that happens with some phones, this is nothing significant. That "online" thing is complete BS that media is trying to spin to get attention... most likely that person's computer restarted and auto logged in to whatever social media, or something along those lines. 90% chance all the passengers are dead So the only two options are crash or hostage?
What else would it be? Aliens? it's not BS , they interviewed the brother of the dude who logged in the QQ Group, the person seems to have logged in from his mobile app on QQ but didnt' respond to his brothers messages. He went offline later on probably dead battery. People with possibly dead loved ones won't make up stories

It could've had to make an emergency landing for whatever reasons.
There would have been some communication by now and the passengers would have been discovered. And it doesn't explain why the plane completely changed course for several hours What are you basing this on? You could also argue that if it was hijacked or crashed it would've been found already.

I hate to be grim, but maybe some of them survived an initial crash, then sank later. Could that account for the phone anomaly?

that can be one angle that explains it, i also read the interview about the brother whos sibling logged into his QQ group account but wasn't responding even though he appeared "online" . Seems like his smartphone caught some kind of data roaming service and his app auto-logged in.

I thought that maybe that happened as a suitcase was floating on the surface, but he should have had his phone off / in airplane mode. Right? In any case someone should be able to find out what tower his phone was pinging. That should help define a search area. Or maybe his QQ account was hacked?

Yep i guess it could also have been a suitcase floating around in the ocean with a working phone inside it. apparently according to CNN report, the families pleaded with Malaysian airlines to track the phone calls via the telecom providers but Malaysia airlines pretty much ignored those requests, they have also threatened to protest outside the malaysian embassy in Bejing due to this fact. They can also request IP address from QQ group and try to track it down, but QQ will only honor if the request came from a government. Most likely the phone batteries are dead by now since bureaucracy is always slow to react.

I know that a lot of people that mentioned aliens are trolling, but there might be one believer or two out there and just to reply to the troll bait I guess, let's assume that aliens came from another solar system and they have the technology to traverse the immense distances of space and reach earth, the technological gap between our civilization would be so huge, that our so called intelligence would be considered of the level of microbe or even less, and even if you consider that our intelligence is considered as of that of a little tiny insect, we are really worthless for them to consider hijacking a plane.... (well considering they traveled in space to other planets where statically speaking there must be more interesting stuff than us humans for them to see.

lol Battle of LA ? Pacific Rim? We can count on Murrica to save the world when it happens Well on a serious note, I just hope the people in that plane are safe, and all this is just some plot for some american series like Lost, or in worst case the plane was hijacked and it parked in some airport somewhere even it is really unlikely
