Wouldn't you think if it landed in the ocean that it would have broken up or some people would have opened the doors and gotten out? The complete lack of tangible debris seems improbable.

I bet belly landed in the ocean, thats why there was no debris field. It's going to be incredibly difficult to find that plane at the bottom of the indian ocean.
Wouldn't you think if it landed in the ocean that it would have broken up or some people would have opened the doors and gotten out? The complete lack of tangible debris seems improbable. Well it's possible that it could've landed, but it probably would've quickly sunk quite quickly after. Imagine if it landed but flipped over a couple of times killing everyone on board and breaking the wings off, then sunk. In that situation I don't think there would be much debris left floating around.

Anyone knowing some basic physics and spectroscopy will laugh at GeoResonance's claims--they are pure quack gibberish. I am surprised that they have gained as much credence as they have--perhaps it is just a measure of how much people are graping at straws. I'm still leaning toward the explanation's ultimately being some weird concatenation of accidental events--not some sensational conspiracy. But we may never know. 65 years on, we still have no idea what happened to Star Ariel, a case just about as baffling as MH370: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSAA_Star_Ariel_disappearanceI can recommend two forums following this story which seem to have a better S/N ratio than most (less raving lunacy.) The first is a professional pilots' forum: http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/535538-malaysian-airlines-mh370-contact-lost.htmlThe second seems more oriented toward mariners: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1947061&highlight=mh370Both have lots of posts and a considerable amount of informed speculation.

I dont understand how in this day and age a Boeing 777 can drop out of the sky and leave no clues as to where it is.
I see a bunch of speculation from the news agencies regarding the Iranian passengers who used stolen passports to board the plane bla bla bla.
I wonder if its possible that the plane was hijacked, and then was flown low enough as to not appear on radar and landed in some hatred filled country. Like North Korea for example.
Is this possible?
Anyone here have any ideas on what might have happened here. I fly a lot and its beyond me that this can happen.
That is the question did it really happen?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqac7QLpm_kMay 2, 2014 - Bill Maher used his final New Rule Friday night to tell CNN it's time to stop obsessively covering MH370 already and just move on. He said to anyone still glued to CNN, "You're not a caring person unraveling a mystery, you're just a ghoul sitting on the remote." Maher exasperatedly explained that millions and millions are being spent on a search that could last for years, and beyond CNN caring about it, maybe the search for the plane just needs to end. He pointed out plane travel is statistically very safe now and said, "You know what's riskier? Everything. Driving. Walking. Taking a shower. Living in Chicago. Hunting with Dick Cheney. Dating Chris Brown." He determined that the public's fascination with the missing plane is based on our "obsessive need for the magic of closure," and assured people that sometimes in life, we don't get the answers to everything. Sometimes "it's okay to quit looking."

It's just that to me, it seems like unless the plane went straight down like nose-first into the water, it would have slammed around and a bunch of little pieces would have broken off. Don't planes consist of a lot of light-weight materials designed to be light and which would presumably float?

I knew they will never find this plane. At first I thought that they will find it within a few days. But I was wrong. Now the black box is not emitting radio signals anymore, and we can be sure that no one will ever know what actually happened to the MH 370.

I wonder if we'll ever know the truth about that plane. I am really surprised that something like disappearance of such huge plane is possible in our day and age. I beginning to thing they kept some some secrets from us.

We never will know the truth, but this plane just didn't crash, there is a huge cover up going on. The plane going missing the way it did never made sense to me and I figure there was something fishy almost from day 1. With the technology we have today, there is no way a plane disappears without a trace. This does create an interesting precedent though. Whoever did this now knows that they can make a plane go missing full of people and cargo, and eventually know one will really care. I expect something similar to happen again in the not to distant future. Makes sense. They wanted to know if they could make a plane go missing. Now they know.

Have they still not find it? How long it has been?
.. I almost forgot about it,earlier the local news would inform about it every now and then and then they stopped, so I figured it must have been found.

You need to understand one thing. Malaysia is a very corrupt country voted in by religious nuts. The minority in this country have little say in how things are run or done.
