I see it happen often on this thread - the same accounts are quick to say "XMR developers copy and paste code!" or "Monero is scam and developers have instamine" or "Of course they just bought their position on Mintpal because MRO developers are scam". You're talking to ME. You're insulting a group of people of which I am a part. It's hurtful, it's untrue, and it's uneccessary. Think about that next time you decide to throw out an insult.

I think if we analysed the FUD posts and shit stirrers - Monero Fanbois would come out on top. I am not saying you are one of them but you stayed quiet when XMR FanBois with new accounts abused ALL BCN users and devs on this thread. That's a shame because that behaviour hurts all cryptonote including Monero. There is even a thread on here trashing EVERY SINGLE CRYPTONOTE SAVE MONERO! Do you support these FUDsters? Meanwhile Lightcoin clone DarkCoin has more CAP than all the cryptonotes put together.

I don't follow this thread often enough to be able to "not stay quiet". I'm also quite unable to prevent free speech. I'm not going to rehash this over and over, but I'll paste what I said on the the thread in question:

This is why I don't own XMR or any CN coin. The Monero trolls are everywhere, every coin thread Cryptonote or not, and why the fuck would I want to buy a coin when current coin owners are so desperate they feel the need to troll so dam much. Even smooth trolling the Bytecoin thread so fucking hard and he's part of the Monero team..seriously where do you guys get the time to troll so much? And you're actually hurting XMR not helping, it's just making this whole cluster fuck surrounding Cryptonote coins worse.
My conclusion, Cryptonote coins are all FUBAR

The author of this post is NOT involved with Monero in any way. I cannot refute some or even most of his findings, but I certainly disagree with the vitriolic voracity with which it is delivered. He is exceedingly angry, and that is at odds with the way any members of the Monero core team view CryptoNote or Bytecoin.

I can only find the one comment that smooth made recently in the Bytecoin thread, and I don't think there is a fundamental problem with engaging cross-thread. We harbour no ill-will against Bytecoin, so to label a tongue-in-cheek comment as "trolling" is a bit of a stretch, don't you agree? I know it's a fine line, but I don't think we're being purposely obtuse or abrasive.

As to those involved with Monero who you label "Monero trolls", we simply cannot control anyone. People are going to say good things and bad things about Monero, and it is not our responsibility or in our best interest to attempt to stifle free speech. There will always be people that passionate like or passionately hate Monero, and that's a good thing, as it encourages intense debate. For those that cross the line to trolling or excessive pandering, I apologise for their behaviour on behalf of the core team. We do not condone it, but we are also not in a position to be able to stop it. Please accept my personal apology as well if the behaviour of anyone even peripherally involved with Monero has offended you in any way.

Crikey! I was talking about the entire ALT forum - as I said, the bile, FUD and vitriol from the XMR trolls was relentless and on dozens of threads.
It damaged all the cryptonotes including Monero.

Hmm what is this lull? Guess everybody's having a good time with the new updated Bytecoin. I updated everything as well, and it works great. Would like to express my graditude to Bytecoin developers for caring about us, users.

Ok, it's great that we have everything listed and explained in detail. Makes it so much easier for an average user.
Special thanks to developers for increasing the sum, which can be transferred through the simplewallet.

Indeed, perfect for the new users or those who just don't feel like investing in high-end computers.

Also, for the new users who have never refreshed their wallets before, devs increased wallet refresh speed by almost 100 times.

I was trying to send some BCN with mixin_acount 10 but I got this error (bellow). Do you know what I am doing wrong?
Problem will be probably in the maximum of BCN which could be sent from simple wallet but I do not know what is the limit or the maximum. From my tests/mistakes I have partial answer - I see that the maximum is not in BCN but in size of transaction bytes (11900 bytes).
10k BCN went smoothly with mixin_count 10 then I changed mixin_count to 0 and sent all in different amounts to make it done.

But I do not understand how it works exactly. Is somewhere explained how much BCN is possible to send in one transaction with different mixin_count. I am noob in this and I am little bit lost. There has to be done some calculation formula or something similar. I have not seen it or maybe I missed it. ... or am I completly out? Smiley

Thank you for any comments.

Rytir_fik, it's pretty simple. You don't have enough inputs to set mixIn 10. Just decrease this value and your transaction will go out.

I did it - decreased the value. I would like to understand how it works. Can I increase the inputs? What the inputs are? I would need some explanation like for baby. :-)

The outputs in question are below the threshold where they get broken up into digit denominations. So you would need to find an exact match of the same amount on the blockchain to mix, i.e. unlikely.

Monero price is way too higher than Bytecoin; even if it is a clone. I wonder why. Is it in the name of fair distribution BS?

In spite of being the first cryptonote coin, you know what's hurting Bytecoin? Those 80% of coins. Time to destroy them.

just because you didn't know about it doesn't mean it was premined.

how many times do we have to revisit this same thing?
