Can you guys imagine the day Bytecoin becomes just as popular and widely used as Bitcoin nowadays?
Yes, that's why I will always hold and not dump.

I voted because of BCN, but the VCF pages are full of advertisements. I do not like it. ... and the voting system is stupid you can vote many times. Why to pay for more votes? Realy strange project the VCF.

Is this the Cryptonight Bytecoin? Is it the same blockchain? I was mining this back in the day and recently rediscovered my old tails memory stick. I found my old keys file and if my memory serves I think I might have around 100 million BCN - however I am having trouble with the password/wallet name combo. Is there a walkthrough of how to recover it. Has anyone done a rule based brute on the wallet? A downloaded the latest binaries but the Daemon/wallet I used was before the end of 2012. I gave up when the difficulty shot up toward the end of that year! Would be grateful for any advice. btw - Nice to find this forum - very busy and interesting!

You claim to be so deeply involved in the crypto community that you are the first and only person on this site to have not only heard of, but mined this currency before 2014, yet claim to never have heard of this forum, that has been the hub of all cryptocurrency since Satoshi. And now you play "dumb".

How did you have knowledge of the coin BCN in 2012, please explain to us, because many in this forum don't believe it. They say the blockchain is forged. I am curious about that. The thing of the wallet with 100mil, i remember read something similar in this forum. Thanks

If indeed your claims are true, that will certainly end all the skeptics disputing the coins existence in the past. Do you have any proof of BCN activity in 2012/13? Discussion in chatrooms, communication with dev/s any information of sorts?

Where/when did you mine this coin? Can you share your experience?
Hello. I mined for a short while - mainly October 2012. Was getting plenty of coins - just by using start_mining. Someone on an Onion forum gave me the daemon and wallet - I was into Bytecoin at the time (Sold mine way too cheap - hindsight eh!). Gave up mining when the coins dried up substantially, stopped using tails and didn't really think about it until I discovered my pen drive. I found my keys file and googled for Bytecoin last year and all I found was a Bitcoin clone so I left it. Then I googled today and found BitCoinTalk and so I am trying to get into my wallet.

"Someone" on an onion forum? What onion forum? And you used to be "in to" Bytecoin, yet google for them when you used to be into them via darkweb channels. You sold way too cheap yet you have a hundred million on your wallet. How many did you mine? This story just gets dumber and less believable.

I was into Bytecoin at the time (Sold mine way too cheap - hindsight eh!). Interesting .... do you have any records of OTC exchange or anything else? I presume that would be the only mean of exchange back then.

I feel like I have stepped on a wasps nest! I don't really know anything about bytecoin other than what was in the post with the linky where I got my 2 files. I meant to say I was into BITCOIN! at the time. Can anyone help me withy my wallet?

I meant to say Bitcoin. I spent a lot of time on Tor4chan - 95% sure it was on there. This story just gets dumber and less believable.
Whatever. I think I'll find another forum!

I hope so. I checked the price on an exchange - I don't think I'll be buying a yaht! I am wondering if my keys file is not the same name as the wallet name - is there a way to find out or is it the file name that determines the wallet name? I found an old diary with some of my old passwords I used to use a lot so that would help with a brute force attack.

According to your claims you have around 100 million BCN that translates to BTC2200 = $1 million. I reckon you should offer a nice generous bounty to the one who helps you unlock your wallet. That's not correct. There is over 100 billion BCN in existence and the total market cap is 2.8m$
