FPGA development board "Icarus" - DisContinued/ important announcement

does anybody know if this boards can be used for other purposes?, can they be reprogrammed? , I could get some boards for cheap and I'm interested in learning some FPGA , thanks in advance

Of course they can - they are FPGAs.
However, they don't have memory (as such) so no you can't do scrypt with it without a hardware memory addition.

XC6SLX150 has enough internal SRAM for LTC like mining, opensourced design on git can achieve ~ 30KHs on one board (2 FPGAs). not too bad.

I do not know man. I am talking for me only. No offense at all. What I do regret is when asked ngzhang about script and lancelots he told me that it is doable but it will not last long with script diff increase due to memory flag limitation. As I see it now that it is not quite true but too late for me I sold them all

interesting, is there any sense for us to "steal" those electronic waste? we received total 250 icarus and lancelot (i sold about 400-450 of them in total in my memory), about ~170 units sent after payment,  ~80 not responding our inquire mail (send  14 times in 2 weeks).

For me personally I don't care about the 2 Icarus boards I tried to trade in, but there are guys that returned 20+ boards.

The Batch #2 machines I got (wave 1 and wave 2) did arrive with weeks delay and were very very dirty on the inside and nobody is disputing this. Extended testing I guess? :-)

Should we bring up Batch #3 machines that arrived so late they will never break even? I paid BTC 102 for a 4 module machine and it only generated BTC 58.95 up to today, there is no way any of batch #3 customers will see back their initial investment

I can understand that some of these thing happened outside of your control or influence but it's clear that this all reflects very badly on you, because of some of the business partners your decided to get into bed with. You might not be a scammer but you hang out with some.

Reputation is difficult to build and easy to lose.
