If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

When is expected delivery. Is the $590 (in BTC) price before or after 10% first batch discount?

delivery will start @ 12/10. (approx, maybe earlier or later for 1-2days, 2days @ most)
or
if you don't need the miner, just for a EVO board, delivery will start @ 12/5. (fixed)
$590 is before the 10% discount. any first batch buyer who buy again in the future will enjoy a 10% discount as compared to other new buyers.ADD:it means the 10% discount benefits will active on the next buy, but not this time. the benefits for the first batch is a gift pack. is that clear enough?

OMFG, i forgot. all time line is this year : 2011 I still don't get it. I clearly see "@10/5. (fixed)" in your message. Does that mean that the board was already available since May of this year? Or did you just mistype 10 instead of 12 for December of this year? I'm just trying to understand what you intended to write. Maybe you meant: The "Icarus" board without the mining software will be available a week ahead of the full release with the mining software.

Couple of questions: When will be the next batch of Icarus? I actually have some use for these in a non-bitcoin-mining application (and can use that to justify the expense) - but I would then be able to use them for bitcoin mining whenever they're not in use (free mining hardware ) For my application, I would need 5 boards. Will the next batch be larger? Also, I see that you don't currently support chaining the boards for mining (I'm assuming that is what the P1 and P2 connectors were intended for?). Is this a hardware 'issue' or a software one? Will chaining be supported in the future so that I don't need 5 USB Ports to hook these up to a small PC? Thanks! Enigma

Yeah, I have a similar question that is not directly related to mining. I took a quick look at the schematic and noticed that some pins are routed on the PCB to some connector. Did you do any speed testing on those interconnects? I'm curious about the possibility of connecting the chips for more complex tasks. I see that they are LX150 not LX150T, so no GTP transceivers on them. Am I right?

Enigma mining chain mode is not supported because there is still some bugs with the verilog code. P1 and P2 connector is designed for mining chain mode, or use for connect to some simply stuff. i think the bugs may solved soon by me or some other people. the verilog code and miner software will release soon. so maybe you can check them. i really not good @ coding. i'm a hardware eng. Am I right? i have not do any speed test between the 2 fpgas, but the signals are routed as diff-pairs, so the speed "i think" may easily reach 800M + . and i will test them when i have some free time. you know the whole things are all handled by myself... only 1 person. and there is only 1 another person help me @ software. i'm really really very sorry for a lack of fully performance testing.

Please take your time. I'm not in a hurry. For now I'm playing with LX9 from Avnet doing really simple things to understand the limitations of the current technology. I also noticed the words "bridal tour" in your edited first message of this thread. If you were just married then congratulations! and really take your time!
