^  Jon Jones' wrestling advantage should be enough to take on Gane, grind him against the cage and take him down eventually.  Dunno..  I just can't imagine a scenario that gives Gane the advantage.  And who knows, Jones could end up making it look easy.

As for Adesanya vs Pereira, yeah, I think Pereira gets the W again.  He's just way bigger and stronger than Adesanya.  And now knowing that he could stay in there and take Adesanya out when he tries to throw more volume makes me think that he's gonna try to throw more volume right off the bat and could give Adesanya more trouble.

Yeah, I think Pereira does. Whether it's just his kryptonite, Izzy just can't seem to do it. He dominated that fight right up until the end. So, I know Izzy is more than capable, and in fact at the end of the first or second round he actually rocked Alex pretty bad. If it wasn't the end of the round that could've been the end right there for Alex. Since, both of these fighters when in trouble stay standing, and don't actually dive for the legs. So, usually when they get rocked that's the end.

I know they say that 'size doesn't matter' about many things including a lot of match ups made in MMA, but I guess in this case, it def does matter.  Pereira is a natural 205'er competing at 185 and Adesanya on the other hand was just shown that he'll get over powered whatever he does.  I mean Adesanya did almost got Pereira out at the end of the first round but other than that Pereira was taking it and biding his time.  And when he saw his opportunity, Adesanya couldn't do anything.  Ref had to stop it.

And I fancy Pereira fighting at 205 for the belt this year...  Going for the ole double champ status.

Izzy didn't perform well in adding weight against Jan. He is better in his current division, he caught Periera and was about to drop if it weren't for the bell Pereira would have been knocked out. Sure to expect a trilogy when in the rematch Izzy wins.

It would cost a lot more the bring Ngannou back, it's been reported that he refused the $7M to stay in UFC. Jones vs Ngannou will be one of the fights that will never happen if UFC is not willing to give more than that. Meanwhile, Ngannou seems to be negotiating already in boxing.

He was in a state of bored I think he was interviewed back in 2022 he was really complacent with Jan Blachowicz fight and with the next fight on Marvin Vettori well, I really think he didn't expect the fight with Jan Blachowicz I really think he can beat him but he was just short with realizing what Blachowicz really can do I think because Israel Adesanya is feeling bored he has not taken to consideration about the fight well the fight sometimes was just all in the mind if they can beat their opponent or not,

Francis Ngannou doesn't really need the money if the change he needs is going out of the UFC and being free as a free fighter I really think if the UFC will not comply with what he needs then there will be no negotiation between him and the UFC,

I guess it depends on how his boxing career goes, as I assume that's his next chapter in his career. If he doesn't perform well in boxing, it could be a short lived career, and he could want back into the UFC, which then the UFC have some leverage. They'd probably negotiate a big contract still, but I'm not sure if it'll be to the same degree as the one offered this time, and it probably won't involve medical cover either.

I wish the UFC would do that mind. Adequate medical insurance for all fighters on the roster, they could potentially negotiate smaller wages if they had that back up. Since, it's a risk for a fighter every time they step in there, that they could potentially rack up thousands upon thousands of medical bills.

For me, If he doesn't do well with boxing then he's going back to MMA but not with the UFC, there are great contracts awaiting him with LFA but I wish Bellator would try to convince him and get him a great contract with Bellator,

Well, regarding medical insurance for the fighter, if the UFC would provide medical coverage for all the fighters I think that will be a big money involved regarding the number of fighters in the UFC, maybe the top 10 fighters have solid funds regarding their Medical bill but what about the lower ranked fighters, and I think there aren't many injuries or fatal incident that has happened to UFC so far so I think it is not a big money for the UFC to covered those fighters that are harmed during the fights,

Crazy footage online posted by Conor McGregor showing the aftermath of him being hit by a car while on a bike ride. Pretty scary. He seemed in good spirits and forgiving of the guy who hit him, who then gave him a ride and appeared on camera driving him. Athletes really shouldn’t be training outside on bikes like this because things like this can happen. As sad as it is to say, you can’t trust people to not do stupid things like hit a bicyclist when they aren’t paying attention. Luckily it seems no major harm was done and McGregor kept his cool.

I've seen video of him riding his bike followed by a range rover with security. When he is not at home, he has always guards around him (made that conclusion based on pictures he posts on the Instagram). He had no security with him this time. That always amazes me - rich people, that trashtalk about others a lot, dont have guards when they needed.

Btw, that car driver probably pissed his pants, when he realized who he hit. He and his next several generations would have have to pay insurance regress in case that was a fatal car hit.

Btw, I like how Conor is positive with that situation. Others would be furious on that driver. Knowing how intemperate Conor is (recent Ibiza case), Conor is really doing great.

Well, despite it not being the biggest event this weekend, I'm just grateful there is an event on. Honestly, because I've programmed my body to stay up to watch UFC as it's often on late. I now struggle when its not on. I'm going for a Derrick Lewis win though, by TKO/KO. I think he'll surprise us, and actually pull it off. I think the odds are in the favour of Spivak, so might earn a pretty penny on it.

I've seen quite a lot of celebrities in the UK without bodyguards. I think it's very much an Amercian thing. Obviously, celebrities do have bodyguards to some extent, but only really at events, and the like. I've seen Youtubers have bodyguards, but people like Tyson Fury often run around their local without bodyguards. Unless, they're watching from a distance, but I doubt it. Would probably defeat the purpose of them.

After everything, I am actually glad that no one got seriously injured in this accident. Of course, if something happened to Conor McGregor, the person that hit him would have to pay a lot of money. But money cannot bring back dead people. And the thing is accidents happen when it is least expected. Just like you said he did not have his security with him. And that's when this accident happened. But anyway it was a bike, not a car. One can argue that his security team could have gone with him in a car behind him. But the happening has already happened.

If Francis' boxing career doesn't go to plan, which I believe he's going for the Tyson Fury fight. Then, Bellator would likely be the best option for him, rather than any of the other promotions. Probably, the only one that can compete with the UFC in terms of fame, as well as wage. I believe Bellator get paid more, but obviously at a reduced publicity, which might be important to some fighters. I don't think Ngannou is that type of person though, if his leaked demands are true, then he seemed to care about the state of fighters health, instead of lining his own pockets, which you've got to respect.

Anyway, what's our early leans for this weekend coming up?

Logan Paul just dropped a video on his Twitter account hinting that he’s going to be making a big announcement tomorrow involving Dana White and the UFC. Possibly even the announcement of a fight against Paddy Pimblett… Not sure how true that could be, but the video did enough to make me believe that Logan is going to commit to an MMA fight. Tomorrow we’ll find out for sure.

Lewis lowering his weight might just give him the edge this time. He must have been instructed to drop lbs to be able to make a win again but this is the same situation last year which is also the cause of why their fight was canceled. Curious as it is pursued this time. Even so, it's the only match that is interesting enough.

Anyway, Connor having bodyguards really? He must have lots of death threats.
It must be hard to qualify as a guard, a sparring against him is required probably.

A couple of vids to watch that could help you guys make your picks for the main event tuis weekend...

UFC Free Fight:  Spivac vs Hardy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n16j26HlbLY

UFC Free Fight:  Lewis vs Blaydes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN9D6z0CKr0

And about Lewis making weight, again I don't think it's gonna be a lot.  So don't expect a big transformation, prolly just 5 lbs and slightly leaner body at fight day.  But what it really shows is he's prolly taking this next match seriously and that he's seriously finding ways to improve.

And if he does end up showing that he lost 20 lbs, damn...  Can't wait to see the match!

Yeah, well it does matter to an extent. However, the size difference is mitigated more with better technique in MMA, and that's mostly only true when it comes to wrestling. Not striking, being bigger, and having more power behind your shots is definitely going to help you.

Also, fancy him for the double champion status. He needs to work on his defensive takedowns, he shouldn't have been allowing Izzy to take him down, who basically has no experience in doing so at least in fights in the UFC. The thing about Alex, I don't think anyone's better than him at kickboxing, but Izzy. The thing with Izzy he hasn't got that natural frame like Alex does. If Izzy was a little bigger, then he'd probably have a lot more success on those that are bigger than him. Alex, moving up he could be smaller than some, but he's definitely not the smallest in that division either.

Anyway, what's our early leans for this weekend coming up?
I am not sure what to think about upcoming UFC card.
There are a lot of asian fighters I dont know, but I am excited to watch big guys fighting in main card.
My early bet is going to Serghei Spivac to win but we all know Derrick Lewis can awake Black Beast at any time, and I expect this to be short fight.
Much more interesting for me is Marcin Tybura vs Blagoy Ivanov, we need more heavyweights in combination now after Ngannou left Dana's camp.

Mike Perry a UFC star is the backup for the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight. Does that mean he is finished in the UFC? I cannot remember him retiring but I might be wrong I do not watch a lot of ufc. I do remember Mike Perry though. I think he beats Jake Paul but I know he is older now.

Why does every UFC fighter go to boxing after they are done with their ufc career?

Yeah Mike Perry was retired from UFC and then he sign a contract in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), it's much more like a boxing, but without gloves. No he's not really that old, he's currently 31 years old, I think it's a prime age in most of sports.

Well in boxing there's a huge cashflow rather than UFC and other MMA organizations, also you can just have an exhibition fight which will lower your risk, but you can still make money.

Logan Paul vs Paddy Pimblett? Not sure how Dana White is going to allow that. He does not allow his fighters, that has an active contract to compete outside UFC. UFC does not make exhibition fights. When Logans brother Jake, said that he wants to "a high ranked fighter, whos name I have forgotten Sad", Dana told that Jake must first prove that he is on same level with that fighter. Meaning  Jake should first climb that ranking ladder.

Paddy is not a newbie or no-name in UFC. If Logan is going to fight Paddy, first he need to pass several opponents. They are in different weight divisions after all. Paddy is a featherweight, Logan a cruiserweight. That is almost 20kg difference.

Yeah, there's a lot of unknown fighters this weekend, but that's kind of exciting in its own right. Some of these fighters could potentially be the next big thing, and every fighter has to start somewhere. I'll be quite honest, I don't know a lot of them so predictions are hard especially when I'm struggling to find tape on a few of them.

Logan Paul just dropped a video on his Twitter account hinting that he’s going to be making a big announcement tomorrow involving Dana White and the UFC. Not sure a commission would even allow that to happen. Logan Paul, to my knowledge doesn't have any experience whatsoever in MMA, while Paddy Pimblett is a future star, that's if he isn't considered a star right now. I just can't see that happening, not because Logan Paul doesn't want it to happen, but because there's no way that gets signed off.

It'd be interesting if he is allowed to compete at all, since I wouldn't have thought so due to his lack of training in MMA.

That is probably why I am confused because he is still fighting in the bare knuckle boxing. I think Jake Paul is brave and Mike Perry doing bare knuckle boxing means he can take the punches that Jake Paul throws. He might be a better option then Tommy Fury to test Jake Paul. I did not think Mike Perry was as young as 31 I thought he was in his late 30

I do not think it is a exhibition fight.

Hah yeah..  If Adesanya was a tad bigger, he would've had a tad more power in his hands and Pereira woundn't have gotten out of the first round.  That was Adesanya's only chance to take Pereira out for the whole match.  Most times it was Adesenya keeping his distance until he got his back against the cage then had to move left or right until he couldn't.

As for champ champ status, Pereira has to win the rematch first then move up cos if he loses it's gonna be another match up vs Adesanya. So yeah, both scenarios are good for Pereria as he'll still be at the or near the top of the ladder.

Here's the Multi Master.

It's no secret that I'm a Izzy fan so I'll definitely be routing for him to win at least the once against Alex. However, I'll give it to Alex he's definitely made his mark, and he's probably got a decent career ahead of him regardless if he remains champion or not. He'll likely challenge for it multiple times if he doesn't retain it, which I don't believe he will. There's too many good wrestlers in this division, and he doesn't seem to have the best of takedown defenses. That's something that Izzy is pretty decent at, and one of the reasons why he retain that belt.

I want to see Bobby up against Alex if possible though. Although, again I'd probably want Bobby to win I don't think he would, but since Izzy seems to have his number it'd be nice to see him going for champion status without going against Izzy.

Well, that is Dana White saying yes, maybe this is real but there are no further announcements, and if there is no post on the real thing I am keeping on doubting it, and if he wants Paddy Pimblett I think he needs to drop his weight 1st because Logan Paul is 205 lb if I am not mistaken, so Logan Paul is a Light Heavyweight while Paddy Pimblett is Lightweight 155 lb Logan Paul is enormous and needs to lose weight 1st before challenging Pimblett, I think Logan Paul should start with some test run 1st,

Getting Derrick Lewis to drop his weight on lower division for me is not really a great idea for me it is because of Lewis's style of fighting if it's Ciryl Gane then that will surely put him at an advantage with the speed and the technicality of his style surely Ciryl Gane will dominate the Light Heavyweight, and as I have said, Derrick Lewis is not a fast and technical person if he would not change his game plan in approaching his opponent then they will just move fast and counter Lewis, most of the Light Heavyweight is a technical fighter, it will look like the same for some so this is just what I think about Lewis,

I haven't watched the video, but I've seen a picture with Logan Paul having his thumbs up just in front of Dana White. It's probably a deal with Prime, which is a drink that Logan Paul, and KSI is partnered in I believe. So, that could potentially be a sponsorship deal. You know, how Monster the energy drink is currently the sponsor, and is held every time they read out the results of the fight. This will probably be the extent of it. Like I said, I can't imagine any commission sanctioning Logan Paul to fight in the UFC.
