It was expected that Pereira would move to other division. He looked to big for a middleweight. Put him against, I dont know, Whittaker or Vettori and they would look like David and Goliath. I think he has good chances to been Hill, as it will be a striker vs striker fight, and Pereiras skills looks to be superior. But I desire to see his fight against a pure wrestler or BJJ. So far he has got mostly strikers and I wish to see his skills on new territory.
Pereira now have medical suspension but after that he can come back and prepare for his next opponent in light heavyweight category.
I would like to see him winning and then asking for rematch with Adesanya in same category, UFC would love that story and Adesanya couldn't refuse.

I doubt Pereira would be straight up brought to go for the strap at 205.  He'll prolly be matched up vs a couple of guys first to see how he performs.  I think a somewhat good litmus test for him is Jan Blachowicz.  Blachowicz is a known guy with a good following among hardcore UFC fans and he's a pretty decent fighter in the division.
They put other fighters in fire before so it wouldnt be the first time for UFC to do this, and remember that Pereira was champion in middleweight division.
Fight with Blachowicz would be interesting, but he is on top third place in that division  Grin
With him this division is going to be much more interesting now, there are so many contenders.

of the many fights there will be I'm thinking of adding this one to my parlay:

Clay Guida - Rafa Garcia

Clay Guida is a guy who already has a very advanced age, he is 41 years old (honestly, it was time for him to retire) and he also has a long professional career because he started in 2003 as a professional athlete and had 60 fights of which he won 38 fights and lost in 22 fights and only had 7 wins by knockout, 16 wins by decision and 14 wins by submission and has great skill in wrestling and grappling. while his opponent Rafa García who is much younger is 28 years old and started his professional career in 2014 and has had 17 fights in which he won 14 fights 3 defeats. Rafa García only managed to win by knockout in just one fight, he had 8 wins by submission and 5 wins by decision

well, Rafa García doesn't have strong punches, from what I could see and he doesn't have a good defense and Clay Guida has a lot of experience and has less good results compared to rafa garcia, in case I decide to bet on this fight I'll consider betting on rafa garcia due to the fact that he is younger but I still see a great imbalance in the odds values, since I don't see rafa garcia as much superior to clay guida, for me the odds should be more balanced in this fight, anyway I still have time to decide whether to add to my parlay or not

Clay Guida is certainly really old right now. That might be a bad thing for him going into this fight. But we all know with age comes experience. And he is certainly an experienced individual. He also has better punches compared to his opponent.

But this is a fighting game. And in this game, I don’t think experience matters too much. Actually, young is going better success. Because after all, this is not a street fight. This is mixed martial arts with the same weight category and also some rules and regulations.

So my prediction is that Rafa Garcia is going to be the winner of this fight. Even though I am a little concerned about the defense of him, I think he should be able to overcome that problem.

After watching the weigh ins and the face offs, I think the event could be underdog city.  Possible underdogs that could get the W are Allen, Barboza, Boser, Guida, TJ Brown, Royval, Herman and Vannata.  I'm not doing a greasy parlay this weekend.  I'll prolly just make a couple of single bets with Royval, Brown and Vannata.  Mind you...  I make small bets for fun so NFA.

Here are the weigh in results.

Max Holloway (146) vs Arnold Allen (146)
Edson Barboza (146) vs Billy Quarantillo (146)
Dustin Jacoby (206) vs Azamat Murzakanov (205)
Tanner Boser (203) vs Ion Cutelaba (206)
Chris Gutierrez (136) vs Pedro Munhoz (136)
Rafa Garcia (155) vs Clay Guida (154,5)
Bill Algeo (146) vs TJ Brown (146)
Matheus Nicolau (126) vs Brandon Royval (126)
Zak Cummings (206) vs Ed Herman (206)
Gillian Robertson (116) vs Piera Rodriguez (116)
Lando Vannata (156) vs Daniel Zellhuber (156)
Bruna Brasil (116) vs Denise Gomes (115)
Gaston Bolanos (136) vs Aaron Phillips (136)
Joselyn Edwards (136,5)* vs Lucie Pudilova (136)

*Missed weight

I am on Arnold Allen to win, odds are worth taking and I think he can beat Holloway after he was better from some top UFC fighters like Calvin Kattar and Dan Hooker last year.
On different fight I placed my bet on Dustin Jacoby but I think its more 50/50 fight and Azamat Murzakanov can win and continue his perfect 12-0 MMA record.
This is going to be interesting fight card and here are my main card predictions:

Arnold Allen win by decision.
Edson Barboza
Dustin Jacoby
Tanner Boser
Chris Gutierrez

This weekend just looks awful from a betting perspective. I'll be probably only doing a triple this weekend. How are we feeling about the Robertson fight? She's pretty strong at 125, but I'm not sure if this weight cut is going to affect her ability to get it down on the mat. I'm also not that familiar with her opponent. I think Zak Cummings will get it done against Ed, but I think it will be a close fight.

I'm still deciding on a few of the fights before I get my predictions out. Hopefully, in time for the event Cheesy.

Here are my picks for the UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Allen

Max Holloway VS Arnold Allen

The stake odds for this fight are 1.58 for Holloway and 2.40 for Allen, for me Max Holloway is pretty much good with his striking but you can not cut out Allen with his striking as well he got a good speed in his punches if you look at Max Holloway boxing he surely is good at boxing, but Volkanovski just outsmarts Holloway and outspeed his striking but I believe that Arnold Allen could be a treat to Volkanovski well this is just my opinion he surely got those speed and accuracy aswell and he also got an inside game, and surely Volkanovski can not cut out wrestling aswell, for me, Arnold Allen will beat Max Holloway and to get a fight against Alexander Volkonovski, my pick is Arnold Allen,

Edson Barboza VS Billy Quarantillo

The stake odds for this fight are 2.35 for Barbosa and 1.60 for Quarantillo, In this fight, I really think that Edson Barboza got the experience in getting into Quarantillo but my take here is that Quarantillo  had a great chin for sure but that Spinning kick of Barboza can be deadly when the heel connected to Quarantillo's face, but that spinning kick can connect and also has a high probability it will not, so my take is Billy Quarantillo,

Ion Cutelaba VS Tanner Boser

The stake odds for this fight are 1.77 for Cutelaba and 2.06 for Boser, Now in this fight now that Tanner Boser has gone to the Light Heavyweight division and agaisnt Ion Cutelaba that is in the Heavyweight back then aswell I really think that Ion Cutelaba is pretty much accustomed now to the Light Heavyweight than Boser and Ion Cutelaba doesn't really have the option in losing again, this is really a goodbye for him if he losses this match, but I am going with Ion Cutelaba for this one,

^^ All of a sudden everyone is overlooking Max Holloway as the gatekeeper of the division, as far as i am concerned his achilles heel is Alexander Volkanovski and i feel like he could defeat anyone else in the division other than Volkanovski. Another fight i am looking forward is Azamat Murzakanov who is the underdog in the fight and i am expecting the fight ends in a knockout as both are great strikers.

Like I said earlier, I'm not super confident on these picks, at all. However, here's my picks for tonight:

Arnold Allen
Edson Barboza
Azamat Murzakanov
Tanner Boser
Chris Gutierrez
Rafa García
Bill Algeo
Matheus Nicolau
Zak Cummings
Gillian Robertson
Daniel Zellhuber
Bruna Brasil
Gaston Bolaños
Lucie Pudilová

I'm thinking Lucie Pudilová, Gillian Robertson, Bruna Brasil, Tanner Boser and Chris Gutierrez on my betting slip. Not 100% sure, though. I actually watched the weigh ins, to see if I could figure out some of the differences, but honestly everyone looked in good spirits, and had good cuts. Joselyne Edwards, missed weight, but seemed to be in pretty good spirits. Daniel Zellhuber is much bigger than his opponent in terms of height, but I don't know. If he can keep the fight at a distance I have faith, but I'm not sure he'll be able to do that.

It will not be an easy fight for Max. Allen is just like Volkanoski.
Max fighting not as well as he does back then after losing 3 times against Volkanov. It disappointed a lot of fans who cheered up and lost every time against Volkanovski. Not even sure if he can get another chance if he beats Allen in the toe to toe fight. I will still go for Holloway though. The fight could still end up in a decision.

Judging is already awful tonight. Lucie Pudilová got robbed. There's no way that Edwards won two rounds. Maybe the third, but Lucie Pudilová had 6 minutes of control time in the first, and second rounds. How could she possible lose that? She even, left some good ground, and pound. Anyone who's got bets on tonight, I'd take that decision in consideration. The judging could be all over the place if that's anything to go by.

Well, I am not doubting Max Holloway's boxing but other than that Arnold Allen got the potential to enter the octagon I really think we are not confident that he can beat Holloway, or there is intimidation on Allen's part, and because he knows that Max Holloway is a way bigger opponent literal has the height and actually I was more confident to bet for Arnold Allen than with Ion Cutelaba but apparently Max Holloway did superb while Cutelaba has done unbelievable against Tanner Boser,

Now the result of my picks

Max Holloway VS Arnold Allen ROUND 5 DECISION - LOST

Just like in his interview Arnold Allen is not really confident brawling with Max Holloway he is intimidated by the Legendary Max Holloway for sure, but for me, Arnold Allen has a chance in taking down Holloway, I think it is not this time, but this could be a lesson for him if he would face Holloway once more he will surely be ready because he got experience in doing so,

Edson Barboza VS Billy Quarantillo ROUND 1 KO/TKO - LOST

A highlight knockout from Edson Barboza I sure underestimated Barboza in this fight at 37 years old he is still fast, and I thought that he is still the same Barboza as before that if pressured will surely lose composure, but this Edson Barboza is something he stayed composed the whole fight and the timing on his knee to Quarantillo's takedown was superb, you can really see that he has learned something from previous wrestlers like Khabib Nurmagomedov, or Beneil Dariush, the timing when he was on the fence when Billy is shooting that takedown Barboza is ready to shoot that knee to Billy Quarantillo takedown, I totally lost this one,

Ion Cutelaba VS Tanner Boser ROUND 1 KO/TKO - WIN

Ion Cutelaba is really superb he surely was ready against Tanner Boser and Boser looks skinny in this fight so Ion "The Hulk" Cutelaba had pulverize Boser in just a small amount of time, I really think that faint was really effective against Boser, while Tanner Boser from Heavyweight still got his 1 technique, and that is to 1 punch KO his opponent,

Judging wasn't too bad apart from that first fight. Anyway, Max Holloway did what he needed. I just felt Allen could've put the pressure on a little more. That final round, he buzzed Max, which Max mentioned in his post fight speech, and when Allen did actually pressure he was having a lot of success. He'll learn from it, and I think he proved a lot last night. Despite, not wrestling once, which is weird too me. Even just to give Max something to think about, seems he was hell bent on beating Max on the feet.

^  Yeah...  Allen just needed to be a little more aggressive in the early rounds and the match would've been a tad closer and it would've justified the bet on Allen.  As is Holloway got him by sheer volume alone.  But to his credit, he was a bit faster than Allen

I'm pretty disappointed with TJ Brown.  He had the fight until he didn't.  He got a bit careless and threw a wild punch which Algeo anticipated and countered with an elbow.  I guess a fighter does things like that when fatigue starts to creep in.  Brown doesn't have good cardio.

For me it feels like it was a really close fight, Allen had a nice start and Max was looking bad in the first round, but after that round things change and Holloway was looking more secure and getting more points.

On this one my money was with Allen, those stats of 17-1-0 were looking too good for an underdog, but in the end he wasn't enough good to win against Max.

The big surprise at this event was Azamat Murzakanov and Edson Barboza, both of them underdogs and both were easy wins.

Alexander Volkanovski is that good in the feet and he hits hard and has the ground game and hence Max Holloway is finding it difficult to adjust to his pace, the rest of the fighters he will be able to defeat and he wont be getting another title shot in the near future unless the champion changes.

~
Now the result of my picks
Ion Cutelaba was a good pick, i was not confident in that pick because i am not following his career and Edson Barboza really surprised everyone and as expected Max Holloway will defeat anyone in the division except Alexander Volkanovski Grin.

I was not surprised with Azamat Murzakanov as he is undefeated and usually finishes his opponents and i was actually surprised when i saw him as an underdog, never miss those opportunities  Cheesy.

This was maybe one of my worst ever predictions for any UFC event Sad
I think Allen was not far from winning this fight but maybe he needs to have better coach and team members around him.
Holloway 'is now asking for his next fight to be with Korean Zombie and I would love to see this two legends in octagon together.
Azamat Murzakanov is getting serious in light heavyweight division, after this win against Dustin Jacoby he now has 13-0 MMA record.

Arnold Hallen 12-game winning streak has come to an end. It was the first time Arnold Hallen had fought at this level, fighting at this level would have its costs. At the end of the match, he gave a good try for the knockout, I wish it had lasted a little longer, actually Max Hallowey gave a chance to hit each other, he would have kept the distance again if he wanted. Max played very cool in the match. It's been a great lesson for you, Arnold. Fighting the former champion five rounds must have been an amazing experience for him.

It's a decision so Max's win is normally going to be questioned by some commenters.
Barbosa's knee is just perfect timing, I couldn't see that he deliberately planned it or he just foreseen Quarantillo going to take him down after a punch. He was surprised his lights out. I kept replaying it and it's just perfectly done.

Cutelaba rarely won so he is not really the kind of pick. I would just say it's due.  Cheesy

Max Holloway is still the gatekeeper in fighters attempting to get the belt and from what I see Arnold Allen's style approaching Holloway was just hit and move, hit and move I really think that it is not very effective against Holloway and it was really late for him to engage in for the pressure but at least he has tried it, if he can overcome from being a fanboy of Max Holloway to getting inside the Octagon and taking what he wants Max Holloway is still able to beat him, for sure, he can never attain a victory on Holloway,

Ion Cutelaba was a good pick, i was not confident in that pick because i am not following his career and Edson Barboza really surprised everyone and as expected Max Holloway will defeat anyone in the division except Alexander Volkanovski Grin.

Yup! I am not confident in picking Ion Cutelaba in this match because Tanner Boser got the power to knock him out in just 1 punch, but looking at Cutelaba now, he was so buffed up going inside the octagon that he is surely ready to rumble it against Tanner Boser it was really a surprising match but I really doubt it at 1st,

while I underestimated the 37 years old Barbosa and because of that failed to see what he can do now, he surely has a different approach and vibe now than when he was back then,

And Max Holloway really proves that he is the gatekeeper for all fighters approaching Alexander Volkanovski's belt, and he proves that no one will surely pass him,
