Cory Sandhagen did win by split decision but it was real even fight much diffrent than bookies showed it, and Vera had his chances.
I was happy with most of my other UFC predictions but I failed beting Vera simply because win on him had much better odds.

Adesanya will try to prove in the rematch that the defeat was accidental, if I may say so, but this time his waiting strategy will be inappropriate as he needs a convincing victory. Pereira is something of a phenomenon for Adesanya, an uncomfortable opponent. I see no one is talking about Holm's fight. It is important to remind how she was the legend who destroy Ronda Rousey's career, and today she is the underdog, but she looks really old nowadays and that's because she is 41 years old, I'm thinking of betting on her opponent Yana Santos. From what I see these numbers seem to be ignored by most people, I see the bookmakers giving Adesanya an advantage once again in the fight against Perreira, it looks like Perreira is winning by luck when it doesn't seem true to me, the numbers are being ignored by everyone, even the commentators on the youtube channels I've been watching just keep talking about Adesanya as if perreira won by luck, I wonder why this has happened, if Adesanya wins in this fight everyone will put him as better and they will ignore all his defeats against perreira, but if perreira wins they will minimize his victory

I would have preferred Adesanya to have a tune-up as well to revive his confidence. Pereira may not have the best wrestling skills and background but it is the same with Adensanya who's only a little better. This is more like a psychological battle for Adesanya. I have no idea why he did the rematch immediately. Pereira will be more confident in the octagon this time while Adesanya after suffering another stoppage will have less confidence and might run the entire fight. I see a one-sided fight, Periera will either win another stoppage or a unanimous decision if Adesanya will be cautious and defensive the entire fight.

Adesanya's desire for a rematch is understandable, he wants to return everything as it was, he wants to regain the championship that he has kept for so long.

Yes, Pereira has become a stumbling block for Izzy, an inconvenient opponent who is impossible to defeat. I think Adesanya has a lot of experience to defeat Pereira, it is important for him not to lose faith in his strength. Pereira is also not a weak opponent, we were convinced of this.

It's probably the last attempt for Izzy. If he loses this too, it will not be repeated. I think he knows that this is his last chance. How will he use his last chance? First of all, admit that he is a bad striker than him and combine different techniques. Aren't you the last stylebender, add the styles of other successful fighters and beat him. Which I think will be defeated again in this fight. Perreria is much stronger. Perreria is less affected by the hit he receives, but when he hits it accurately, it's over. Of course, Izzy has hard punches with a high TKO percentage, but I assume that her self-confidence is broken now, I would.

Among the fighters who have held the championship for a long time and defended their title many times, there is such a moment that after the first defeat they cannot get together. At first it seems that this is an accident, they believe that they are strong champions, but this is followed by another defeat and then they begin to doubt themselves and then the struggle with themselves begins. Because there were mostly strikers in middleweight or low class wrestlers by the time he defended his belt. I am not doubting Adesanya skills, no doubt he is talented. Sorry, forgot old Yoel Romero. He did not submit Adesanya, because he was running all the time One of the most boring Izzy fights.

Indeed Whittaker, Vettori, Cannonier will find it hard to beat Pereira, maybe even impossible for them to beat him, but it does not mean they dont want to fight him. ^ Pereira is certainly new to UFC. But he has been doing well. After all, beating Israel Adesanya is not an easy task to do. And in the next fight, it is going to be interesting to see if Alex Pereira can actually beat Israel Adesanya. Because then I think people would not keep saying that all these guys are better than Alex Pereira.

But me, I am someone who actually thinks Alex Pereira is far above average. He's certainly better than people give him credit.

Adesanya is better than Pereira if we're talking about pure skills and technique.  But there are other factors that also help win a fight.  There's size, strength, cardio and other things like heart and motivation.  And sadly for Adesanya, there's just some fighters that have the other fighter's number.  For Adesanya it could be Pereira.  For Usman it's Edwards.

And it's funny Du Plessis was mentioned by Apocollapse.  While the guy is strong and has heart, I don't think he's up there in skill yet and he looks gassy.  Put him in a 5 rounder vs Whitaker or Vettori and he'll get beat.
