This is the first time we'll see Jones fight again. If he is still up to submit opponents he can do it.
Heavy body mass however can just make him go for striking, after all, he can greatly damage with just fists. But it's still possible by Submission.

Since this weeks event is going to "not very interesting", and probably lots of you are going to skip and just watch replays, then I suggest you to spend few minutes and visit UFC 30th anniversary page. UFC has been with us for 30 years already. Just scroll down and swipe right UFC history. Lots of cool stuff there (that easily can be found on YouTube).

I was first introduced to UFC probably in 2009-2010, the time I've got unlimited fast internet and accidentally found KO compilation videos on YouTube. My interest to UFC has developed to downloading events from torrents, converting them and watching on iPhone small screen them during lectures  Grin Now I watch almost every UFC event on huge TV on a fight channel Cool

I started watching UFC during the time of Anderson Silva since it's always sensational and UFC was giving a grand entrance of champs and challengers going to the cage. Same with you I just download them on torrent. I still have the youtube channel I made for the KOs of the Spider. You must have found my channel  Grin

Submissions is possible I suppose, but I'll probably be jumping on the decision for Jones. Gane's tough, not very good on the ground, but I think with Jones being out for so long, he probably won't be at his best either. A decision for this weight class usually brings some pretty decent odds too. Jon Jones might come back, and be at his peak, but I think that's expecting a little bit too much from him. The safer bet is Jon Jones to win, I personally can't see Gane winning. Although, I'm not a fan of Gane, and have thought he's been over hyped for a while now, so consider that if you're listening to me. There's definitely a little bias there.

In reality, none of us know what sort of shape Jon Jones is in right now, and whether he can still pull off what he used to in the octagon.

Did Khabib's twitter account just got hacked or he is promoting some unknown GMT token?
They probably offered him a lot of money for this advertisement, but this looks like promotion of pump and dump.
Before that I saw he is working on some metaverse game plan project, I never expected this from Khabib, and he received many negative comments on twitter.

I haven't heard about the crypto token Khabib Nurmagomedov was promoting but maybe I would surely look for it if he is the Brand Ambassador I look research it but surely be cautious in getting my money on board if there are freebies or airdrops why not, but still looking forward on it because it would be a great achievement for the Crypto community,

Now here is my pick for the UFC Fight Night: Krylov vs. Spann today,

Nikita Krylov VS Ryan Spann

The stake odds for this fight are 1.58 for Krylov and 2.40 for Spann, for this fight Ryan Spann has the height and reach advantage and I think he got the power aswell but both guys had a submission game but for me, Nikita Krylov is more technical than Ryan Spann, this could be a very difficult fight for Krylov for sure because of Spann's strength could easily throw him but my pick is Nikita Krylov,

André Muniz VS Brendan Allen

The stake odds for this fight are 1.43 for Muniz and 2.85 for Allen, for this fight Brendan Allen has the height but Andre Muniz has the reach advantage with 78.0" (198cm) for Muniz, and 75.0" (191cm) for Allen, for me Andre Muniz got a great grip in his fight with Uriah Hall, and Hall surely struggles a lot in finding his openings against Muniz, and Andre Muniz surely destroyed Halls control, for me I think Muniz will surely dominate Brendan Allen for sure,

Augusto Sakai VS Don'Tale Mayes

The stake odds for this fight are 1.78 for Sakai and 2.05 for Mayes, it seems that they are underestimating Don'Tale Mayes, well Mayes could surely be inactive for a long time but his return will prove that he can still fight, and Ciryl Gane's fight was astonishing but Sakai has the power advantage and could finish the fight in one blow, so the technical movement of Mayes can surely be tried against Sakai and Sakai really badly needing this win 1 more lost and that will be the 5th consecutive loss in the UFC and it could be his last, so my pick is Don'Tale Maye

^  Had Krylov at first glance but thinking more about it and looking at both during weigh ins and the face off, I think Spann is a live underdog here.  And for where the line is at, it could be a good gamble.  Have him at the third tier of my lottery ticket and no regrets,  It's putting Leavitt near the top is what I'm kicking myself with.  Lol.

Anyway, here are the weigh ins and the face offs.

What is wrong with Jordan Leavitt? I have him as my main bet. He always is the underdog but always seems to win. He does not take many risks and he is a calculated striker and a better wrestler. I think the odds 1.90 are very good against Victor Martinez who is nothing special in the ufc.

Jon Jones said that he wants Daniel Cornier to commentate on his return which is nice to see because they had a fierce rivalry. I am excited for Jon Jones return and is 1 of the reasons I started watched the ufc again.

Jon Jones has always had respect for Daniel Cormier. A lot of times in the past Danielle Cormier has not been respected just because of his physicality. The fat percentage of his body is a little on the high side. And of course, he had a great rivalry with John Jones. But I think we all know that both of them had good respect for each other.

I know it is going to sound crazy and not relatable for a lot of people, and I also do not feel great to compare them with two greats, but I feel like this rivalry is basically like the rivalry between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. Because at the end of the day, they all stayed professional and got people watching their fights and also had respect for each other when it was all over.

What is wrong with Jordan Leavitt? I have him as my main bet. He always is the underdog but always seems to win. He does not take many risks and he is a calculated striker and a better wrestler. I think the odds 1.90 are very good against Victor Martinez who is nothing special in the ufc.

Montana De La Rosa (125.5) vs Tatiana Suarez (125)
Yohan Lainesse (171) vs Mike Malott (171)
Erick Gonzalez (156) vs Trevor Peek (155.5)
Gabriella Fernandes (126) vs Jasmine Jasudavicius (125.5)
Jordan Leavitt (155.5) vs Victor Martinez (154.5)
Charles Johnson (130) vs  Ode Osbourne (130)
Carl Deaton (156) vs Joe Solecki (155.5)
Nurullo Aliev (155) vs Rafael Alves (155)

I also think that Ryan Spann is not a pushover he could surely win this but I don't think I could bet for a draw so I have gone to Nikita Krylov instead, but surely both fighters initially can win, Ryan Spann has some unorthodox moves and has some power to his punch and strike, but Nikita Krylov has some sick striking combo with some unpredictable kicks, even though Spann has the advantage with the reach Krylov's kicks would surely suffice,

And with Jordan Leavitt that has beaten by Paddy Pimblett in round 2, it seems that he is the favorite to win here well Victor Martinez is not a well-known fighter but isn't that more dangerous than a known fighter that you can analyze and could be ready at anything, even though Leavitt has the wrestling advantage what if Victor Martinez has a good takedown defense, but still it is safe to go with Jordan Leavitt,

What is wrong with Jordan Leavitt? I have him as my main bet. He always is the underdog but always seems to win. He does not take many risks and he is a calculated striker and a better wrestler. I think the odds 1.90 are very good against Victor Martinez who is nothing special in the ufc.

Jordan Leavitt looks (Gaaaaaaaaaaaaay......) whatever at least he is happy, well I really don't know if Jordan Leavitt has learned something after his fight with Paddy Pimblett, or just gets worst, but his opponent Victor Martinez's debut in the UFC and is the 1st fighter so many are not really please if Jordan Leavitt just wants a fight just to get back his courage and determination because I think that is false courage you are showing by fighting a fighter that surely doesn't stand a chance against somebody,

For me Jon Jones is good but I am more of a Ciryl Gane guy, and I still think that Gane is more explosive than before and showing upgrade in every fighter he faces,

Jones is the greatest in his MMA skills and Cormier can fight well and at the same time can talk graciously in his defeat which I think is one of his major skills making him a respected person.

We find the reactions of Rogan and Cormier funny every time there is a jaw-dropping KO and thier eyes almost come out of their heads. I think this is what Jones is looking for. But definitely, no one is better qualified in talking while the fight is going on than one MMA hall of Famer.

It was really a bummer for most of my bets lost but it was OK the thing that I get frustrated about was the Nikita Krylov vs. Ryan Spann canceled fight because Krylov become ill and the Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Cortney Casey because Cortney Casey withdrew,

Nikita Krylov VS Ryan Spann - BOUT CANCELLED

I'd never expected that this fight will be canceled I surely anticipated what might happen to the main event then Krylov got ill just hours before their fight and here is the Interview on RYAN SPANN and watching it I was deeply moved by what he wants to say surely no fight means no win bonus and all and as he said in the interview he wants to show to everyone what he and his coach were cooking for their performance against Nikita Krylov,

André Muniz VS Brendan Allen ROUND 3 - SUBMISSION - LOST

Andre Muniz was really good with the stand-up and pretty much getting those clean shots on Brandon Allen but after that kick, Allen timed it to catch Muniz off guard then the takedown, commence then all of a sudden Muniz gave his back that Brendan Allen capitalized and so the rear naked choke was executed on him,

Augusto Sakai VS Don'Tale Mayes ROUND 3 - DECISION - LOST

I should have gone with the more intense fighter that really wants to win, Don'Tale Mayes was inactive for so long but his fight with Ciryl Gane was really great that I gave him the chance, but after what I have seen the performance of Augusto Sakai it showed there how badly he needed that win, and at the 1st round he surely landed a lot of strikes and probably wants to see a knockout in giving Mayes Knee strikes but because of Mayes defense and durability all of Sakai's strikes was nothing but yeah it was a win for Augusto Sakai,

There were too many cancelled bouts which was a bummer and Jasmine Jasudavicius fought Gabriella Fernandes which was a short notice replacement, the main frustration is the André Muniz fight, who is coming into the bout with wins against Ronaldo Souza, Uriah Hall and he was no way near those caliber after watching the fight against Brendan Allen which i thought would be an easy pick and that pick messed my parlay  Cry.

No Andre Muniz was not great in stand up as well, Brendan Allen won the first round just with stand up alone and in the second round Brendan Allen was controlling the positions and when Muniz tried to take down, Brendan Allen reversed the position which makes me think that i overestimated Andre Muniz Embarrassed.

I absolutely agree. Daniel Cormier fought against John Jones. So he knows very well what John Jones is going to do and also what he is capable of doing. So he is the most qualified person to actually talk about the fight of John Jones. If we are talking about someone outside of fighting,  it has to be Joe Rogan. Because even though he has not fought for a long time, he is someone who is very close to the fighting scene and he was also great in his prime. He understands what is going on in the fight better than anyone.

Cortney Casey because Cortney Casey withdrew,
There were too many cancelled bouts which was a bummer and Jasmine Jasudavicius fought Gabriella Fernandes which was a short notice replacement, the main frustration is the André Muniz fight, who is coming into the bout with wins against Ronaldo Souza, Uriah Hall and he was no way near those caliber after watching the fight against Brendan Allen which i thought would be an easy pick and that pick messed my parlay  Cry.

Muniz is a bit overrated, yeah.  I thought he could more with his back on the mat.  But in fairness Allen's 'reversal' happened due to the momentum when both fighters went to the ground.  So he kinda got lucky there.  The third round tho...  No excuse.

The event kinda was disappointing as it had 4 cancellations.  As for my lottery ticket, another break even night.  At least it wasn't an L.  Lol.  On we go to the next one.

Enjoy...

Jordan Leavitt got his 2nd knock out of his career and those high knees were brutal! He did not do his signature celebration which I was disappointed by but I think it is because he was relieved he was able to win the fight with a finish after his loss against Paddy Pimblett. I guess he took that loss hard even though he was the under dog in the fight. I wonder what is next opponent is because he looked sharp striking and did not do any grappling!

This is crazy but I don't know what exactly happened with all of this fighters.
I think it's obvious why many fighters are suddenly getting sick before the fight because of dehydration and trying to lose weight quickly that seriously affects some organs.
Nobody likes doing this weight cut and they better change this rule before someone drops dead, like it happened in bodybuilding competitions.

Frustrated about it aswell, it messed up my entire bet the 1st few cancellations were really OK though but after the weigh-in cancellation and a 1-hour after the fight cancellation is something many fans were frustrated mostly many that have bet on the fight but after that fight, a Press Con was held and Dana White explain what really happens to Nikita Krylov, so maybe my frustration was lightened a bit, just watch it and there are some juicy stuff that Dana White announce aswell, I almost forgot that I have also bet on Jasmine Jasudavicius against Gabriella Fernandes and lost that fight aswell,

Andre Muniz was overrated and I surely ride the hype train because I think Muniz would be good at the stand-up and has decent takedown defense but because of Allen's height and reach advantage he takes over the stand-up and that takedown and submission was really easy for him I should have look and have taken that he has a lot of submissions win in his fight,

I should have seen the few fights for Muniz VS Allen, but rewatching the fight it was the height and reach advantage that give Brendan Allen the edge with the stand-up I know Andre Muniz got a good striking but against Allen that pretty much found his opening pretty much fast and the distance he needs to strike Muniz was really something and that Submission was the real target he wants to win this fight aswell, all that stand up was just the distraction

I'm just hoping Jon Jones still has the fitness, and skill required after a rather lengthy lay off. I do believe he will, but I'm a little nervous. I'm not much of a fan of Gane as everyone knows, I do think he's rather overrated, and he basically got tossed around by Ngannou's wrestling. If Jon Jones is back to anywhere near his best, he'll find this rather easy in my opinion. As long as he doesn't trade for too long, but even then I actually fancy him winning the stand up.

I'll probably just go for Jon Jones to win though, the odds aren't great, but I just don't know what Jon Jones we're getting. Submission could be on the cards, but so could a decision.

^  What the tape again...  Gane had the first couple of rounds.  But Ngannou had a bum knee tho.

https://www.mma-core.com/videos/Francis_Ngannou_vs_Ciryl_Gane_Full_Fight_UFC_270_Part_A/10431964

I won't exactly call Gane as somebody overrated as he's an elite striker and he's fast for his weight class.  He just lacks some wrestling.  Even Ngannou with a bum knee was able to control him.

And the books actually rate Jones higher than Gane.  Jones is at 1.62, Gane is at 2.41.  If anything, Jones could be overrated as he's been away from the cage for so long.

This is the first time we'll see Jones fight again. If he is still up to submit opponents he can do it.
Heavy body mass however can just make him go for striking, after all, he can greatly damage with just fists. But it's still possible by Submission.
I will definitely not miss this.
As a fan, I want to criticize if he still has the moves. I doubt the same speed but the fighting technique should still be there. When it comes to strength, the older we get the stronger we become.
Will he switch to a knockdown specialist or will stay with submissions?
I just checked that card and it's absolutely filled with stars. Araujo will fight and her opponent last time Alexa Grasso has a title fight against Valentina Shevchenko. It's packed with a must-watch entertaining fights.
I started watching UFC during the time of Anderson Silva since it's always sensational and UFC was giving a grand entrance of champs and challengers going to the cage. Same with you I just download them on torrent. I still have the youtube channel I made for the KOs of the Spider. You must have found my channel  Grin
Same boat. I think you were earlier than me if you caught Anderson Silva's debut. I started watching when he was on his way to the middleweight championship match. Then there's Jon Jones who is always entertaining to watch and Kimbo Slice, may he rest in peace.
